This would absolutely cause a small dog to have a collapsed trachea. The harness clearly does not prevent them from being thrown from the seat so clearly this is no a viable option.

that didn't look too great. better than nothing, atleast it will stop the dogs carcass from flying around the vehicle and seriously injuring or killing people in the front seats (not to mention make a lot less of a mess).
