The germans get high mark that they dont deserve. They r just ok skaters, but favored for the western judges who like that shitty work........Shen and Zhao reign supreme!

please have a look at the results of the world champioships 2009. the result of savchenko/szolkoy was higher than the result of shen/zhao at cup of china now. and please also see, how amazing savchenko/szolkovy's long programme was. it is an unique spirit in the hall and you could have heard a pin .
They had a great performance at world championships 2009. However, for a professional couple, you need to always try your best to deliver a good performance, which they didn't quite follow that in Paris. I am not saying they are not good, but for more precious, they SHOULD always try their best to prove their the world No.1
One time result doesn't mean anything. Go to check the ISU official records. S/Z still has the highest score over 5 years now. In addition, cup of China was only their first show, they will get better each time. Sometimes unique doesn't mean it can be accepted by most of the audience, and pls do consider without audience support, they are no champions. sorry, I m just not fall for s/z, their performance doesn't win my heart.
yeah comparing end of season scores with the first major competition is foolish. of course S+S will have higher scores at the world championships. besides the reason you could hear a pin drop b/c it was boring and people slept through it. face it there is no worthy successor to the previous few years of pairs figure skating (1998 onward). S+Z is the last of that age, and this is proof that they can beat anyone younger than them.

I think Adagio suits them beautifully. They are so graceful and beautiful to watch, it really doesn't matter that the music has been used before. They are head and shoulders better than the 'Robotic' German couple. Bravo!

It is really a good performance, but the music is used 500 times before by several pairs. It should be no problem for savchenko/szolkovy to beat the chinese at the olympic games in vancouver !!!
On the contrary, it's gonna be REALLY difficult for S&S to beat them! They have to be textbook perfect (and they're not the most consistent pair I've seen, nor the most artistic) and S&Z have to falter badly. Sure, it could happen but if everyone skates cleanly, Shen&Zhao will be the next Olympic Champions. Finally.
Do you even understand why classic is called classic? Cuz people love them no matter when. S/S is their biggest competitor, but S/Z would fight as hard as they can to compete in the Olympic games. I have confidence in them.
Look at the performance savchenko/szolkovy, it was terrible not because they made the mistakes, they got NO spirit!!!!! They almost gave up for the second half of the program which was not professional enough. No matter how strong they are, S/Z is definitely world class and believe have a great chance to win in 2010!
Gosh they were good. What amazes me is they still have loads of difficulties and speed past the midpoint of the program. I wasn't sure what conditions they have got back into, but now looks like OGM is on the line!
OMG-d, stunning! Side by side spins much improved over their sp. Side by side jumps will come around by Vancouver. Unique death spiral. Throw loop and salchow as huge as ever. Absolutely loved the transition from their spiral sequence into his tucked spread eagle, where she balances on his knee. Brav@!

I just watched S/S 2009 worlds LP. Their program was unique, but it was too much overrated. They skated so slow and technically weak.
