  • 2 people are ding dongs

  • Why cant discussions on the bible and the Lord have fun titles? Who ever said that studying the bible had to be monotone and boring? My church has crazy sermon series titles sometimes but it helps to remember the passages discussed and the biblical laws! Its ok to have fun while learning about Jesus! I promise you its ok!

  • @blondeisius

Except for when people want real answers for real issues.. sorry, I have to go with David Wilkerson on this one---there'll come a day when people will be upset at their pastors for not telling them the full truth when judgment starts coming to them personally They won't be going to churches looking for skits, jokes and a lightly convicting message that isn't followed up by admonition to follow Christ... they'll be wondering what's going on b/c they never picked up a Bible.

  • @droptozro Very true. I agree that it needs to be taught often. Which is something that I commend my own Pastor for doing. He will pick up the bible and speak about Revelation, Daniel, and other difficult books and teach what he knows. Im only saying that when the topic is joyful, the titles and sermon can be joyful. Meaning, it doesnt always need to be serious. People should know that Jesus is a fun-loving joyful God.

  • I HAVE BOTH YOURE DVDS!!!

  • tim hawkins you are so cool

  • he looks like woody harrleson with hair

  • @acmcwhale It's been explained before, but for future reference, it's spelled Twinkie. :P

  • I really relate and enjoyed this. My pastor just wrapped up an 11 part series on The End Times. I don't mind talking about that, but not for 11 weeks straight. I can handle series messages if they're no longer than 6 weeks.

  • it is definitely a ding dong world. x)

  • I'm a fan of the sermon series! As long as they're not too long!

  • Full Camando

  • HAHAHAHHA! my pastors do like 4 part series. every month

  • I LOVE YOU TIM!

  • my youth group is doing a series called "How to Survive a Zombie Attack"

  • @DrLove6191 ohhh noeeessssss

  • @DrLove6191 *Gasp* ME TOO!!!

  • @DrLove6191 Wow...really relevant. Sad to see churches today resorting to worldly things when our focus and joy should be on God's Word.

  • @joejumps4fun i agree fully with you, i went to a friends church not long ago and they were talking about soda and concerts, i was sitting there thinking "why, this isnt supposed to be about soda and candy and food, its about focusing on God and the bible" later i realized even my own church was doing the same thing so now i worship God with my family and friends at my own house

  • @PSALM23FEARNOEVIL Seeker-sensitive and "relevant" churches are what Christians should be wary of. Just find a good Gospel preaching church. “The motto of all true servants of God must be, ‘We preach Christ; and him crucified.’ A sermon without Christ in it is like a loaf of bread without any flour in it. No Christ in your sermon, sir? Then go home, and never preach again until you have something worth preaching.” -Charles Spurgeon

  • @joejumps4fun @PSALM23FEARNOEVIL aswell, it seems you are taking things a bit to seriously! Lighten up! The world is fun! Zombie attacks are fun and can be related to the bible in many ways... the book of Revelation, or Satan attacking the world... Keep an open mind with Christianity, accept and don't attack other morals and more people will come to you. THEN evangelize!

  • @mylesrogers there's a funny verse in the Bible where after Jesus was raised from the tomb, His disciples are sitting around eating and He suddenly appeared before them and they were "sore afraid"(translated, they wet their pants!) It was probably a good thing they didn't have machine guns. Not that they could kill Jesus, it just would have been embarassing for them.

  • @mylesrogers i wasn't attacking anyone at all and i meant was to focus on God not the church, not the series. and please don't judge me, do you know what the bible says about judging people, and i am no christian anymore, people have taken Christians and made them into something ugly, i am a follower of my Lord and Savior, i may refer myself as a christian from time to time but i cannot let my self slip to worldly things like "zombie sermon series"

  • @joejumps4fun @PSALM23FEARNOEVIL You guys are the kind of close minded Christians that turned me away from the Church. Youth, in my understanding, should be a time for community within the Church, making friends who share your morals. Also about accepting new people. If a non Christian walks into Youth and they begin with some 2 hour long bible sermon it's a hell of a lot more likely to scare those kids away than them excepting that they belong. Acceptance is a key aspect in evangelizing people

  • @mylesrogers Sounds like you come from a seeker-sensitive church. And as for zombies? 1 Thessalonians 5:22 Abstain from every form of evil. Christians are not to dwell on the evil and dark things of the world. Separate yourself from the world and pursue God. The world has poured into Christian homes and churches through the rock & roll pop culture, but the believer that wants to know God’s perfect will must reject it and pursue holiness and righteousness.

  • @joejumps4fun That was..... Way to go

  • @mylesrogers Where is that one in the bible?

  • @DrLove6191 Really, are you serious? I hope not.

  • @DrLove6191 Duuude, I wish mine would do that...

  • @DrLove6191 i saw that!!!!!

i saw the video for it at Acquire the Fire. it was good, but creepy.

  • haha awesome
