  • Our company has yet to find a biometrics fingerprint scanner that can not be beaten extremely easy, espically the microsoft fingerprint scanner, my 13yr niece can do it in under 10 minutes.

  • can use this to control access to a place? (not internet, real)

  • it dosent read my finger print

  • because your finger is ugly and deformed.. reading it would cause the poor machine to overheat.

  • @SanomeH264 who r u talking to?

  • i bought this and it works great...the only down side is that u cannot password protect things and some websites u cannot use this with for example runescape

  • does it actually read ur fingerprint, and where can u buy it thats not online.

  • So what happens it this "Microsoft Fingerprint Reader device" fails???

    What are my options then?

  • u manually type in ur username and pass

  • 13pianist13:

    LOL after 4 months I get an answer;

yes I saw it on a friend of mine his laptop (he types in his password or uses the fingerprint reader).

    Thanks anyways ;-)

  • if u have a brain u don't need avidence, read how work that device

  • If I buy this to log into my Windows Vista account, does the device SAVE your password like it does for the web log-ins and then enter it when you put your finger on the reader or does it just say "Oh yeah, this guy entered his password on the setting-up window correctly, so he can now use his finger as the password"

What I mean is, I don't want my vista log-in password saved, I just want it to reconize it as me, so the finger is really the password.

& can you manually put your password?

  • nice microsoft device control, acualy that crap save all that data usernames and passwords, and that is unaccaptable

    fuck microsoft

  • That is bullshit, evidence?

  • bullshit

  • f ing alsome

  • Hey,"

im trying to figure out how to program in multiple family members to use the same fingerprint scanner all on one user account that we do not log off of...... how can i do this?

  • does the microsoft fingerprint reader work with the vista operating system?

please post reply on my account

    thanks

  • It works on the 32-bit version, but not on the 64-bit version [some people have found probs]

    Hope this helps.

  • yes. he used vista on the video.

  • lol, this is some cool stuff, u would have to cut off the right finger :) and there is 10 to choose from.

  • This is nice. My HP iPAQ 5555 Pocket PC has Fingerprint Recognition.
