  • They use to use hovercraft for sea and ice rescue in Green Bay WI. I don't know if they still do. I think it would be a great rescue machine in winter storms where thje roads are out.

  • not bad Griffon Really know how to charge though. But in their favour they use Diesels

  • Sorry to be a bit picky.. but Southend on Sea in Essex has one as well

  • I think there's a hovercraft at Burnham on Sea (west country), as well.

  • And New Brighton.

  • 4 Hovercraft operational within the RNLI. Morecambe, New Brighton, Hunstanton and Southend on Sea. There are also 2 releif at Poole also used for training including a Brand new one H007 which was first used at Hunstanton operationally.

  • Yeh there is, but it is not operated by the RNLI.

  • hover crafts are really cool i used to have one but it was very unreliable there is a hover craft in my ,ocal life boat staion in poole

  • Hovercraft can be a little noisy but their environmental impact is low compared to other vehicles. Will be up at Morecambe with my Hover sometime soon!

  • It is a great thing to have, I never realised that they made so much noise? Keep up th good work
