i got my own a year ago... and i still love it.... i use to have a volkwagen polo Classic 99 and it was the worst car experience in my life...expensible parts, no gas economy, no space for more than the 2 person infront... it totally suck!..... but with my vibe gt it was totally a life saver!....

I have the AWD version and the gas mileage is really bad, 30% more than what is posted in the brochure ... the interior has lots of hard plastic and it's soooo noisy on the highway I can't even hold a conversation !!! shame on Toyota for this crappy product ... I have lost my faith in Toyota and not coming back any time soon.

I have the 06' Matrix XRS six speed. Very nice car, but.......i'm not so happy with the gas mileage. It only gets 29 mpg on the highway. You would think a small would get better mileage.

I think they are both very good. For cargo (my favorite part) is just a little bit longer and skinnier in the Fit.

I really like the pricing, size and style of the Matrix/Vibe ... it's very nice handling with enough power, but it's very noisy on the highway ... buzzing sound coming from the floor, that's my only complaint.

Something about the shape of their seats causes a lot of pain in my leg. I have to try to get rid of my car now. I can't use it. Also I am small and my knee actually touches the part under the dash. I agree, Toyota is just not the same anymore.

Toyota is really good now! My dads a mechanic and iused to work with him and the only things that had to be done on the Toyotas were the oil change and brakes. I got a 98 Corolla that has about 210,000 miles on it and its never given me a problem.

Very good review. I have the Sport 4 spd auto AWD and it's great. Highway mpg fully loaded is doing 30MPG. Really comfortable seats. Rock solid chassis on bumpy roads (see carbuzzard XRS review). I have mine loaded with extras (see video comment)

i don't know if roadfly made a mistake or i might be wrong, but from the look of this engine it's the 2.4L one, not the 1.8L. from toyota's site the S trim comes with 2.4L engine.

The matrix is made in Canada, the vibe is made by GM and Toyota at Nummi. The vibe is GM's best quality vehicle because it' built the Japanese way.
