  • >As long there is no clear indication that the intruder is after her, there is no need for violance.

No need for violence? Banging, yelling, breaking glass, unlawful entry? Wake up!

1 minute on the phone before the operator even said anything to get someone else on it. 16 minutes in and they are asking her directions for the police. The officer is there ready to get the key and then 21:32 What color is your house?

More people need to be ready to protect themselves.

  • Protecting yourself can be a different thing than killing another person. Weird how people seem to have so hard time figuring this out.

  • Sorry I just read this, you wrote: Going to the freaking bathroom to figure out is the guy after her or maybe access a phone or something?!

Hide in the bathroom and corner yourself in a small room with no exit.

You're not worth my time replying to. You are weak.

  • With overwhelming firepower

Like she would had been helpless in there or in more danger, as she was not going to leave the house in the first place.

He was after the access to a phone to call an emergency call, as far as I know.

You my darling are inconsistent as you did use your valuable time replying, even thought I was/am not worth the effort.

Lets hope time you consumed replying was not off from some of the great deeds you are destined to do.

  • The lesson here kids is it is never ok to break into anyone's home for any reason. You just might end up a stain on the floor and the topic of discussion on youtube.

If you break into someones home and you are killed there is no one to blame but yourself.

We are your doctors, your lawyers, your armed forces and the teachers of your children. Never worry about what we are destined to do, only trouble yourself with your own destiny.

  • killing an event that causes someone to die

the act of terminating a life

i think the term youre looking for is murder

  • How about some communication, maybe!? Seeking of other options than killing?! Warning shot, maybe? Would probably ruin her kill by scaring the guy away tho. Sneaking out from the other door with the shotgun, maybe? Going to hide somewhere with the shotgun, maybe? Going to the freaking bathroom to figure out is the guy after her or maybe access a phone or something?!

This is so absurd, she did not even try to prevent this! Did the guy even know there was someone inside?!

  • @jooqan

She told him she had a gun. One should not have to seek any options when in their OWN home. Warning shot? She told him she had a gun. Sneaking out another door.. who's out there? Leave the safety of your home? Hide and wait for them to find you? Not her responsiblity to figure out what he wants! Who cares what he wants! Your comments are what's absurd! He could have prevented his death by leaving when she told him to leave! She TOLD him she had a gun so he KNEW there was someone there.

  • She told she had a gun to who? I did not hear her yelling that to the intruder and I am pretty sure she did not (I listened the who 911 call). When you have shotgun with you, there are other safe places than just your home, that obviously is not the safest place when someone is intruding in.

I would like my daughter not to overreact. As long there is no clear indication that the intruder is after her, there is no need for violance.

Not every "mad man" is a murderer. This lady is.

  • @jooqan

She told the freak beating down her door she had a gun. You didn't listen to it very carefully, she told the dispatcher she had already told him she had a gun and to leave.

  • @jooqan

You FINALLY hit the nail on the head INTRUDING is the key word here.

What other proof would you want YOUR kid to get? He threw a table through the glass door! You say not every mad man is a murder. So you would want your daughter to wait around to see if he's a rapist.. a murderer?? Wouldn't it be a TAD too late by then? YOU DON'T KNOW what his intentions were.. better him, THE INTRUDER, than the victim!

  • So would I say, if I would be ready to kill someone and get clean with it. On the tape, she did not try to communicate with the intruder, but she said she is going to kill him.

How about if it would have been your daughter who would have crashed her car and went to get help and got shot by someone that supposed she could be a murderer, even thought she just were on drugs and needed to get on phone badly.

Death is not a right punishment for intruding specially not from a hand of an individual.

  • @jooqan

My daughter has sense enough NOT to throw a table thru a glass door. IF she decided to do so.... her ass would be shot and rightly so. HE made the decision to bang on this ladys door and break and enter her home. It's against the law .. it's called breaking and entering. He has a criminal history. He knew exactly what he was doing and he paid the ultimate price for it! He was wrong!! The VICTIM did exactly what I would do and exactly what I have raised my children to do!

  • @jooqan .. LISTEN to the tape again.. ON THE TAPE she did not communicate it.. SHE DID tell the dispatcher that she HAD ALREADY TOLD HIM to leave and she had a gun. Death IS the correct punishment and it was delivered! Don't break into peoples homes in the middle of the night and you will have NOTHING to worry about!

  • As I already stated, on the tape she did not communicate with the intruder. Why should one take a word of a murderer seriously. I could call an emergency call and tell stories how I met santa and unicorns, but it does not prove I did.

If your daughter would have lets say injured boyfriend in a car she dam should have sense to break and enter in order to get help if there are no other viable options.

It makes me little sad that you had to raise your children to share your violent manners.

  • @jooqan It's become obvious you're unable to debate. When I answer your question.. you just come up with a new scenario! YES I have taught both of my girls gun safety. We have several guns in our home and both girls can shoot the nutsack off any man at better than 30 yards away. I don't want them to kill anyone. I want the person to suffer greatly if they enter my home, only WISH they had been killed! I hope your family is not put in this situation... You'll BE the 5 o'clock news! Statistics!

  • Good thing there is this big ocean separating you blood thirsty retards from the rest of the world.

You have no respect towards human life if it is not somehow linked to you. How selfish and small mind.

Now go away violent little creature.

  • @jooqan

Retarded people usually resort to name calling. Considering you're 31 and STILL in school.. I'll consider the source. If you ever finish school and make enough money to come to Texas.. come on by and throw something thru my window.. I've got something for you!

  • @jooqan

Would you want YOUR daughter to be possibly raped and or killed OR protect herself?

  • I think she has every right to protect herself and her home from this thug. She was obviously afraid and I would be and rightfully so. People have a right to keep protection in there homes to protect themselves from criminals.

  • She did the right thing and in her situation it takes an uncommonly cool headed and compassionate women to think about warning shots to scare off a shitbag criminal destroying her home...so she really had no choice but to shoot the bastard..

  • l support the woman in this situation she protected herself he had no business breaking in her home he wasn't there for tea and scones,

and if anyone was so foolish as to try to break into my home he will face the same thing he was out to cause harm,

  • excellent vid mel... you analyzed it from the right perspective...

    take good care and peaCe2U...

  • One of the comments left on the blog made me laugh:

"At first I was appalled that the (911) tape was released with her address and the location of the gate key. But ten minutes or so later when she shot him graveyard dead, it occurred to me that she probably wont be getting too many uninvited visitors anytime soon."

  • I live in the country.. If that happened to me I would have blown his leg off with the shotgun. I wouldn't aim higher than that unless I missed the first time which is hard to do with a shotgun :)

  • donotgod gary inmendham is only looking at the situation from hindsight. If the woman got raped and murdered then it's a win for him because he can complain about how fucked up the world is. If the woman shot the guy, he can complain about how trigger happy gun crazy she was. Fact is that he will never be in such a situation and doesn't have to worry about that shit. She was justified in doing what she did.. end of story.

  • I'm with you! And the fact that he has a mug shot on file speaks volumes. Nobody just "visiting" throws a table through a window to gain entrance to a house.

  • we definitely need gun control (a steady right hand)

  • you're so precious! and you're right.

  • When guns are outlawed only outlaws will have guns.

  • When fertilizer car bombs are outlawed, only outlaws will have fertilizer car bombs.

It's not a very helpful bumper sticker slogan to advise us when we're considering how to regulate fertilizer, or guns.

The problem is the tension in the Second Amendment between *a well-REGULATED militia* and *right to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.* At what point do regulations start to infringe? If they meant we should have no limits, why mention "well-regulated militia"?

  • u r awesome....I don't drive either- LOVE hearing your honest take on things it lets others feel that they are not "mean"for having honest feelings!

    THANK YOU!!

  • 5: 11 LOL

  • Hello Mel, In that situation, she was justified in using lethal force in my opinion. Firing a warning shot is the worst thing to do. You have to stop the threat and in this case there was a definite threat to the woman's life. Another criminal we will not have to feed...regards...

  • Warning shot would have been no good, she would have just had a Broken door and a hole in the roof if she had done that. the guy knew full well what he was getting into when he saw the shotgun.
