You can get Lotad, but you're just too lazy and stupid to try and do some research before you open your BIG FAT MOUTH! Try to insert sapphire IN SLOT 2 before playing diamond/pearl and you'll be able to find lotad. @D3ciever This really works, I do it the same way and I get shinies all the time too. A chain of 120 is unnecessairy, from a chain of 40 (or higher) you get the best chance which is 1 in 206, pretty good if you realise that the normal chance of a shiny encounter is 1 in 8192 :D. Then just keep resetting your pokeradar. Good luck with your shiny hunting! :)

"LUCKY (or good?)" Do you mean to tell me that I got lucky catching 638 shiny pokemon? While chaining you need to have some luck for a shiny patch to appear before chain 40 or at a really low chain, but constantly reaching a chain of 40 takes skill and perseverance.

It's normal for your chains to break even though you did nothing wrong. 20 times is a lot, but that has happened to me as well. I recommend that you keep on trying until you make it to 40. Thanks. No tricks, just what the game allows. Use a fainted pokemon with the ability static on the first slot of your party. Static allows you to encounter electric types at a higher percentage.

It shouldn't matter once you've started your chain of magnimites. I chain electric types all the time by using static even when there are other electric types in that grass. You can also use magnet pull, that should work also if you don't want to use static.

Yeah, a chain of 40 give you the best odds of finding a shiny, but it also depends on how lucky you are. It could take less than 10 max repels while resetting the radar at 40 or it can take more than a hundred. I use to reset the radar at 30 and also found shiny pokemon, but I used more max repels on average.
