  • That looks incredibly like a S&W Sigma minus the ports on the slide.

  • I really like Nutnfancy's choice of words regarding capacity. He refuses to call these magazines that hold more than ten rounds as high capacity magazines and refers to them as normal capacity.

  • Am I the only person who likes the stock glock grip

  • Nothing wrong with the Glock grip, but for most hands, a slimmer grip feels better.

    jeff

  • Jeff, Lone Wolf called. They said to go ahead and send that Glock to me. Thanks.

  • Man, the Cicadas were out in force on this video.

That Lone Wolf is a beautiful and cool looking. It should be in a movie or two as a good guy pistol.

  • That firearm looks nice, I have a stock glock 22 generation 4 with no mods on it yet but in time i should probably get some for it

  • I like it. I like it a lot. I would love it with traditinal sights since they always work, and just a threaded barrel with no compinsation so I can attach a muzzle device if I want too. It seems that is not to hard to order. I think this one will be my next Glock purchase.

  • Cool gun - I like that Burris red dot sight.

I just picked up a Lone Wolf conversion barrel for my Glock 27 (.40 cal).

    For about $100 (plus a magazine), I now basically have a Glock 26 (9mm).

Very easy to switch out & works great.

Now I need one for my Glock 22.

  • I loved the comment about liberals and 0 capacity...Ain't that the truth. Damn fine glock upgrade, too., Thanks for the presentation.

  • Why do people use the term ''high'' when they mean large, strong and advanced?

  • Because the English language is ever-changing. We use "cool" to refer to things which have nothing to do with temperature, just as we do "hot". "Bad" is now really good. However, in this instance, the "high' is in reference to a higher number of cartridges in the magazine, and is a relevant term to use in this situation.

    jeff

  • If you buy a Lone Wolf slide, frame and barrel it cost about $200 over the price of a stock Glock. Seems to me it would make more sense to by a stock Glock and get a Lone Wolf barrel. It would cost you about $100 less, it would includes sights and you'd have an extra barrel to go alone with it, ending up with more or less the same gun.

  • wow thats a great gun

  • Watching that vid I can't help to think of the story about an axe where they present the question of if you replaced the head and then later the handle broke and you replaced that too would it still be the same axe? I don't even see how how that's a Glock anymore when there's no Glock parts left in it. lol Cool race gun tho.

  • Beautiful! Just beautiful!

  • Nice pistol. I like your reviews.

  • I have a lone wolf muzzle brakes for a 45 caliberFNH tactical I had to modify a little bit to work on my fnp wyth trigicon sites I haven't had a chance to shoot it with the new upgrade but once I do I'll post it on my youtube page

  • Very nice piece

  • Hey Jeff, do you think Ron Paul will save the republic or are we all doomed?

  • I like the man, but most voters in this country are too selfish to elect such a man as President. Most will vote for the one who promises the most "free" stuff, or in the case of our current President, vote for him for other reasons, such as the pigmentation of his skin. Many stupid white folks voted for Obama because it would be so "historic" to have a President who is "black", even though he is only about 18 percent African descent.

  • I can also feel superior and open-minded, because I voted against the white half.

    Jeff

  • Anything that holds more than 10 rounds is considered high capacity. Other than that, great video!!! Really liked it, and I'm looking forward to buying this gun!!!

  • @NC77583

"Anything that holds more than 10 rounds is considered high capacity." HUH? Maybe in the leftist state of Confusion. But not in the REAL world.

  • @lostburro Yes, I agree, not in the real world, BUT "by the book", it is.

  • @NC77583

Really depends on "what" book. In CA, anything larger than 10 rounds is considered HC, in New Jersey I believe it's larger than 15 and in Maryland larger than 20. Earlier this year a bill was introduced in CT with same verbiage as CA, making anything over 10 HC. (No clue if this one went anywhere or not.)

It varies by state and whether pistol or rifle.

My SR9c came with a 17 round mag. Came with so, standard capacity to me.

  • @lostburro I understand you, but I wasn't talking about a "law book", and yes theory. By the theory, anything that holds more than 10 rounds is high capacity. I'm gonna tell you where did I get this info just so that you don't think I'm crazy: Hickok45. And if you know him, you know he's VERY experienced... I think he said this on a Close-Up of a revolver that held 10 rounds, and he joked saying it was a "high cap revolver!". That's all I know.About your SR9c, I would say it came with a high cap

  • Considered "high capacity" by whom? By those very Liberals who want ZERO magazine capacity?

So 10 is low capacity, but 11 is high capacity? Do you understand how silly that argument is?

    Jeff

  • @Gunblastdotcom It's definitely a silly argument but designed so that evil will have a numerical advantage.

  • @Gunblastdotcom Yes, I do understand how silly that argument is, and that's why I didn't create it. To answer your first question: Is is not by whom, and by what. By the theory, as I already said. I don't agree with it, because by the theory, 10 is low cap and 11 IS high cap. That IS silly, but it is what it is. I'm not defending it, I'm just saying it exists...

    Keep up the great work,

    Arthur.

  • That is not what it is. If a pistol is designed around a 15 shot magazine, then 15 is the standard capacity. A 1911 45 was designed around a 7 shot mag, so in a 1911 single-stack 45, 15 shots is high capacity. In a pistol designed around a 15 shot magazine, anything greater than that is high capacity. The Ruger LCP was designed around a 6 shot magazine. In that pistol, 8 shots would be high capacity. The term refers to weapons and magazine design.

  • It is not an arbitrary number. I am not going to let socialist politicians redefine the term to suit their agenda.

    Jeff

  • @Gunblastdotcom Ok, but when you're talking about ALL guns in general, that theory is applied.

  • I was reviewing a pistol, not speaking of all guns in general. There is no general magazine capacity for all firearms, as they differ greatly. The theory of which you speak cannot be logically applied to all firearms, but Liberal arguments are seldom based on logic.

    Jeff

  • @Gunblastdotcom Ok. You got me. I give up. I surrender. You win, I lose. As I'm one of your subscribers, I don't want to end up shooting you nor you shooting me, so

    Keep up the great work!

    Arthur.

  • Thank you, sir!

  • @Gunblastdotcom You're welcome!

  • @Gunblastdotcom: Come on Jeff, you know 10 is low-cap and 11 is high-cap, that's why all our handguns have 10 and a half rounds, haha.

  • with a fully custom glock like that i thought the grip would have a full stipple job. nice pistol though.

  • "Don't fall for the liberal crap calling it 'high-capacity' mags; these are standard capacity." I tell this even to my cop friends who say "high-cap" mags. There are standard mags, and there are low-cap or diminished-cap liberal mags. Very good point, Jeff; one that everybody needs to keep in mind!!

  • @xxxlotus000

    AMEN!

  • I am really excited about the Timberwolf frame. For me it cures the major weakness of the Glock which is the grip (angle, etc).

Also, and an FYI, Lone Wolf will put an after market thumb safety on the Timberwolf frame that resides slightly forward of where a 1911 safety would be but is easily sweep-able if you are trained on the 1911. Glock fanboys pls feel free to spam away about how the lack of an external safety is a +, but I have so much time behind a 1911 that its not an issue for me.

  • Jeff, love you reviews!! Do the ports effect ballistics ,or anything else for that matter, since they are inside the normal length of the barrell?

  • Not enough to be detected by a chronograph.

    Jeff

  • i loved the liberal comment....hahah awesome vid sir

  • Rhdrifter..Bill ruger is dead. Ruger makes an ar, threaded barrels, hi cap 22 mags and etc. Get over your boycott and support a company that is trying to make amends for previous leaders warped ideas.

  • That is one nice looking glock, the grip looks like a big improvement, and the beaver tail is a nice addition.

  • Custom frame, slide, and barrel. Besides the magazine, how is it a Glock?

  • It is not a Glock, but it is of Glock design. It is pretty much am improved Glock, and it does use some Glock internal parts.

    Jeff

  • Is it possible to get 'slide bite' rather than hammer bite? Hence the beavertail perhaps?

  • That is possible, but is not common with the Glock design.

    Jeff

  • @Gunblastdotcom Ahh ok, thank you.

  • is the grip angle changed at all? Looks more like a 1911 grip angle then a glock

  • The angle in relation to the bore is the same, but the rounded back portion of the grip is gone, effectively changing the angle of the hold.

    Jeff

  • I like how you put down liberals who got convinced anything more than 10 rounds is high capacity.

I was Bill Ruger who convinced the government that "An honest man only needs 10 rounds"

That's why i will never buy any of his products. Because of his rhetoric, all liberals want to do is eliminate anything over 10 as being high capacity.

If anything, people should be enraged at that a**hole. He thought with his wallet first instead of thinking for the greater good of the shooting community.

  • @rhddrifter86 My Ruger holds 17 rounds, I don't know were you get yours from but around here they are common as belly buttons. I hear Ruger makes a fine foil hat you could wear.

  • @yellowbusguy you dont remember the assault weapons ban?

  • That was his opinion, to which he was entitled. I do not agree with it, and neither do the folks who are now running the company. Mr. Ruger is dead, and the man now at the helm believes in giving shooters what they want. In fact, he gets out and talks with shooters almost every week. Tomorrow and Saturday, the CEO of Ruger will be working at two gun shops in Mississippi during their open house. I know how he operates. he will have a name tag that reads "Mike of Sturm, Ruger Company".

  • Nothing else. He does not make a big deal out of being the CEO of one of the most successful companies in America. He will be there to assist with the open house, and to get feedback on his products.

    Jeff

  • great looking pistol. Would be a great competition gun. Thanks for the vid!

  • how much do these run jeff? i absoutly went crazy over this gun with this video!! thanks so much!!

  • Price depends on options chosen. Check their web site.

  • I like the way the frame looks

  • Every social worker should have one.

  • Would love to get one in 9mm with straight 8's night sights, glad I'm back home in Ohio now and actually have the choice - had 9 painful years in California.

Have to go check out the website now, have been reading it as long as I've been going on the internet and it was a familiar companion back when I was in Iraq.

Thanks for what you do Jeff

  • Thanks for reading Gunblast, and for serving in Iraq.

    Jeff

  • great video Jeff (as usual) !!!! thanks for reviewing this conversion, I had seen them in The Glock Store catalog, but seeing it working in your hands makes in big difference.... THANKS

  • @Gunblastdotcom I'm really curious about the frame. I never hear about people using them but I hear people gripe about bulky Glock frames. I have really small hands. I wish I could find one to see how it feels. At the moment i'm considering an M&P because the grips feel nicer than a standard Glock. (Social Work FTW!) haha

  • I agree. The S&W grip feels much better to me than does a Glock grip. The XD also feels better, but this Lone Wolf no longer feels like a Glock grip. Hopefully, you will get to try one out.

    Jeff

  • @busterbob24 Sorry about your woman's hands. M&P is probably a much better idea for you. I'd suggest going to a local range and shooting a variety of handguns, see what fits you best and what you shoot the best before making a purchase.

  • @silvermediastudio Jeff also feels that the M&P has nicer grips than a standard Glock. I didn't ask for your opinion.

  • @busterbob24

The glock frames are really slim and comfortable even with the tiny hands I have.

Then again a glock 10mm or 45acp is still comfortable enough for me even though if feels like it'd be awkward to shoot. I don't think I'd go for one of these lone wolf frames for a defensive firearm.

The biggest issue, I'd assume, is for people with fat fingers. I have really skinny fingers and all the glocks are comfortable for me, a 1911 almost seems too slim.

  • @skyhop What issues have you had with a Lone Wolf frame?

  • @busterbob24

I've not had any, of course.

But it's not had much documentation or actual use yet that I would trust my life to it. That's kind of an important part of a gun you know!

  • Jeff I like that liberal remark you made. I'm gonna make my own nasty remark on November 6th 2012.

  • standard capacity is right!

  • I was looking a at the lonewolf websitem the frame was 400

  • That's a very nice pistol. I'd love to have one. What's the price for one of these beauties?

  • whats the price of this amazing piece of perfection

  • Prices are on the Lone Wolf website, and varies, depending upon the parts that you choose.

    Jeff

  • I want to see more of this gun in action!

  • always get a chuckle with your "Social Work" statements. :)

  • that looks awesome. no patent lawsuits?

  • Sweet custom....like it.
