my grandma had a very old top loading hotpoint mid 80s till about 2007. the drain got blocked up and she bought a zanussi. she had that for about 3 months before she died and i think it was a jetsystem. it was extremley smooth.
my nan had a hotpoint, 80s all white, pull out timer with turquise writing, the machine lasted her 25 years!, her new hotpoint afterwards (the ones with the 2000 style doors) lasted a measley 3!
I can't believe i have found people with washing machine fascinations like myself. #nick, you video is great and it was lovely to see and hear your enthusiasm for the good old hotpoint machine. I agree oo, the noise of the machibe is fab, can never be beaten.
Hi there I have always liked washing machines currently I have 3 in my collection Hoover Hswf 167 in usage
Hoover 1976 A3060
and a Hoover A3110. I can cast my memory back to the 80's when my mother had a Hotpoint washing machine with a single timer knob with dark purple plastic door instead of glass. Whilst my gran had a zanussi
Great machine, remember it well.I loved mums hoover A3060 as a child, always been facinated. When i got own house i was given my grans 20 year old brown hotpoint, same wash as nicks just later model. Now have hotpoint ultima 1600rpm,great machine & spin, but if i could go back to the old style i would. The noisy wash & spin wont be beaten!
Yeah, those old brown Hotpoints were the best! I have a Hotpoint Ultima 1600rpm myself, and although it's a fantastic machine, it still can't beat the old style Hotpoint machines somehow
hi nick, i have been fasinated by washing machines since i was 6 months old. i have aspergis-syndom and this is why i like them
i have always like he older hotpoint wasing machines because of all the ations they do and because of when they spin the water and suds go onto the glass
thanks for the video, if you make anymore will you let me know. cheers
Great to see such a fantastic restoration of a classic British machine. Also nice to see the original Hotpoint sticker over the front too. I can remember when all Hotpoint washing machines in the UK came with those
omg ive waited for this day. are you really fascinated with them. i always watch mine and i thought i was the only one. wow this is cool. ive always watched them and watched the moves and know everything it does. ive done it since a baby and didnt stop. what about you??? lol. spin cycle rules
15 minutes isn't very long for a maximum programme wash cycle (even only t 40c), someone tell me what that's all abbout please?

I saw some suds on the wash cycle but it didn't get too sudsy. Do u like sudsy washes or do u prefer washes that aren't sudsy at all?

if it was all white with turquoise writing it would have been from 1991 at the oldest.
