@ReginaldMaulding I have to disagree, Rifftrax IMO is much better...doesn't hurt that Mike, the Head writer for MST3K is the lead of it. It keeps to the MST3K charm I find.

Mike was "Head Writer" only in that he collected the riffs from ALL members and organized them for the shows. He was not the guy who wrote most of the jokes. Joel and Trace, along with Frank were always the top "riffers" until they left. Mike is fantastic and funny, but it was always Joel's show and style. Mike was hired Year 2 because no one could be bothered to collect all the riffs- Mike did so and became "Head Writer."

There was never a Mike vs. Joel problem- it was Jim Mallon.

Also, to say Rifftrax is better is opinion, which is fine, but as CInematic Titanic continues the policy of bad "B-Movies" with silhouettes, one could say it maintains the true essence of MST3K more. Personally, I like them both, but do favor Joel and Trace- as, along with Josh- they created the concept and show as it is known and loved.

I like 'em both as well. I think I prefer Rifftrax just slightly as it's pretty cool seeing the MST3K treatment on new bad movies. Cinematic Titanic is more true to the original though.

I never really 'got' the comedy skits outside of the cinema. The main reason I watched the show was for the commentaries, which were far superior and the best part of the show, in my opinion.
