I think to draw a relationship between the Starchild and the monster is logically flawed. There is no evidence to indicate a connection between these two things. So, if the Starchild's skull were completely different than human's, it wouldn't necessarily prove that the monster with two fingers and capable of using gas and electricity really exists. On the contrary, even if the Starchild appears to be human child's skull, that doesn't necessarily mean that this monster is completely fictitious.

it can't possibly be due to'craddleboarding' because that only affects the outside of the skull. i doubt it was mammalian let alone humanoid, more likely reptillian judging from the optical sockets, perhaps a turtle? also if it were discovered in a cave the rest of the skeleton would still be there and they would have gone and got it before spending thousands of dollars on lab analysis. finaly we saw how small the skull was, why did no "witness'" mention its disproportionatly small head?

In my opinion I think it was a child who's skull was shaped by craddleboarding as well as having some chromosomal issue. I was surprised how poorly they overlapped the skull with the recreated head at 4:36 either the camera crew had no idea what they were doing so they just lined up the eyes and didn't spend any time trying to help it fit better or the recreated head was made poorly. Also why did he give it orange peel skin? Was it to make the child more otherworldly?
