  • All I know is that you were the sweetest girl. I am the same graduating class as your sister R. . I have always believed that some off us can have alters. I'M proud of you for all you have been doing with all of your research. I' m glad you can share it. You still look like the sweet girl that I know.

  • I was wondering how people living with DID feel about the show?

  • @FRENITJA

It's not quite like this, but I like the show, it's silly.

  • So the DID and the alters disappear when the person can solve his /her internal conflicts?

  • @TheJarvier They can, yes, in a process claimed by most psychologists as integration. Some patients and their systems choose not to integrate.

  • Leah Just wonderfing were u told u ,had a Protecter and a Gatekeeper and Predater? , Aby a Dr? A book A movie?Just wondering where all these roles secifics came from? What year were you dx and it is NOS/DID correct ?and this is beacuse you are Bipolar and Schizoid AffectiveAytip[ical also is that gone now? Are you still on meds? Co -conscious or integreted Thanx

  • I disagree with this being BS. I was dating a woman for over four years and I experienced her multiple personalities, all 5 of them. One was a 4-5 year old girl, one was a teenage boy, the other was a wild 20 year old woman, the fourth was a silent, self-mutilating and dark young woman. The final was she, herself; bubbly,happy-go-lucky woman with a lot of ambitions in life. U.S. of Tara is a good depiction of what goes on in the mind of a D.I.D

  • zv zvgas fdg

  • I have personality in my head named Therapist. He often talks to me about what's going on in my life, but sometimes he likes to put a space inbetween his name and turns into The Rapist. He raped my sister when I was only 7, and than he counseled me on it. What's worse is that I now have HIV.

  • Well I totally believe my ex wife had this s**t. Ive seen some strange things, folks. She doesnt, wont admit there is anything wrong. But it was spooky to see "the GateKeeper and the Protector" because I actually named the ex's personalities this. She also had one I called Number 2, and I watched her filp into Number 2 right in front of me. Was weird. Noone believes me of course because shes very pretty and charming.

  • this is bullshit

  • lmao thats rich

  • check out da4desigirls

  • Only in America... outside of America you will never see someone claiming to have this "disorder", if that's what you want to call deceit

  • Atlas is right. There probably are some screws loose in their head, but put up or shut up. The more you play into these weaknesses, the more they control you. I'm glad this lady is able to work it out with her disorder, but I'm talking more about the larger scale. Tell everyone there is something neurologically wrong with them, and they'll believe you.

Okay... I'm at the point in this video where she is claiming the different personalities are different people... nevermind, she's batshit crazy.

  • @Atlas2344 lol thats a crock

  • inform yourself.

  • excuse me? why dont you inform yourself, look into the subject you arrogant moron

  • Thank you Leah Peterson Crawford...et all...

  • (cont....) at first I thought I wanted to be integrated...but I've realized that they are a blessing and comfort. Am I wrong? am I holding onto a security blanket of sorts? I have no memory of ever being "alone". We are in concert now...i am the conductor and they are the band. We used to play all different musics and different scales, now we play in a unison with each of us given solos from time to time. There are still secrets being held and memories to be revealed... in time... in time.

  • Bravo! Finally a realistic portrayal of D.I.D., I also have DID and thought for the longest time that everyone had inner friends and could hear things the way I do. In my teens I realized this wasn't true. I (the original) was shoved back and could only watch for many years until an astute therapist i was seeing for "nervous disorder" noticed my "coming/goings" during a session. She sent me to see a DID specialist, and my TRUE therapy started!

  • can't wait for season 5 as this has become my favorite show for sure - older episodes at watch Dexter for free - dot - com

  • d i d is like being in a room with a lot of other people (you are basicly one shell with alot of people living inside)and getting along so each one gets a chance to do something in the solid world . and you learn like family to get along and do what is necessary to survive and protect the shell and the heart the(first). actually it is wonderful, for one thing youre never lonely how lonely 1shell 1soul people must be. with no one to help them cope.

  • most d. i.d are extremly creative people with very high i.q.'s who have endured great pain and humiliation from child hood on .when there are a lot of people living in one shell . it gets quite hectic but so much more can get done the shell can multitask ,and we always wonder how only 1 shell with only one soul can cope. you that are only one must be so lonely. d. i .d is like being in a room with a lot of people with no way out .sharing the space.one must step out ,one in.never alone,

  • Yeah shes just like everyone else...except she is a psycho

  • lol

  • that was pretty lol

  • She is not psycho. Psycho is short form for psychotic. Psychotic people who hear voices is nothing like DID voices. A psychotic person needs medication. DID there is no medication that helps unless it is for anxiety or depression IF the DID person has that. Generally people can tell when someone is psychotic, however people with DID look and sound like everyone else. Not everyone has personalities that show themselves to the rest of the world. That is rare.

  • word.

  • It seems like a great show! I'll definitely check it out...Great that Leah told her story like that, I can't even begin to imagine what D.I.D is like.

  • It's like being anyone else. See the youtube video called "inside" It's like that, but not 24/7. Many people have DID and don't know it because it is hidden deep inside. When someone gets triggered to the past, is in current trauma situation, or with professional help, the past comes forward.

  • THank you for telling your story.

  • Fascinating! Love this show.
