once upon a time in a magical realm far, far away the government of a wealthy, western european nation, in the midst of a major military conflagration on at least three fronts decided it might be a wise investment of money, resources & manpower to set up a supposedly "efficient" system to dispose of millions of innocent people for no reason other than irrational hate. nevermind that stalin was able to do away with 5 times as many, in the same amount of time just letting them starve to death.

good words, just to add something, Stalin was responsible just for the double of death, not 5 times as many. The Holocaust including Gypsies, Slavs etc. took around 11 million lives, in a time of 4 years, according to modern research after the soviet archives were opened, Stalins system took around 25 millions...it needed a time of 3 decades. :)

@Yungnrstles not really. americans do EVERYTHING for money. if we set up an efficient system to dispose of millions of innocent people, it wouldn't be for "no reason". it would be for profit. i don't think anybody ever claimed the germans "profited" from the alleged "holocaust". in fact, the point of my little fairy tale is that it kind of seems like a huge waste of resources with no payoff.

I think if I were Jewish, I too would find it impossible to forgive Germans for what was done in the Holocaust but what is Netenyahu doing to Palestinians now. His 'final solution' to the problem of defending his borders is to declare the West Bank as part of hsi empire ie Lebensraum for the Jewish people.
