I've come to say something, but i can't seem to find words, i am just speechless in the face of this masterpiece...Two of my favorite songs being put together to prolong my pleasure without pausing. Thank you! :-))
inertia sounds like it belongs in the trailer of a movie that involves some great emotional tragedy. i almost cried when i first heard it because somehow it evoked those emotions of great sorrow. insomnium is such an outstanding band!
@CrucifixKid95 actually parkway drive would sound like insomnium, and insomnium is melodeath while parkway drive is post hardcore with thrash elements. they sound nothing alike.
Fantastic! i wonder how can ppl listen shitty pop songs and like, unawared of those beauties we can find in Metal bands' songs. sad, very sad. look for highly qualified musicians, harmony, chromatic variations between slow and high speed in a same song? you can find in classical, in jazz, but you really can find that in metal songs! unfortunely, there is a lot of prejudice against metal, but bands like Dark Traquillity, Opeth, Insomnium, Wintersun, once listened, can change people's mind..
@crashmer It's about the inertia of reason-- the sleep of reason. But your's is a funny take on the song xD. I feel uplifted too, uplifted by the conflict.
this combination makes rly strange memory,, 1st song they played on yesterdays gig was Inertia,,, and last song was one for sorrow.. so whoever was on Insomnium live knows how these two things feel,,
@ArashiWrathbringer Possibly the best single track they've made. When the rhythm guitars kick in full blast they almost get that characteristic Bon Jovi vocal-effect to them, if you've heard the song "Livin' On A Prayer".
@piefiuma My point was that I like when the tone of the guitars sound almost like demonic voices producing vowels of awesomness. At 2:20 the guitars really do get a vocal effect to them, as if you open and close a low-pass filter as the guitars palm-mute and then open up for the powerchords.
The guitar tone, some personal reservations for the mix and EQ aside, are awesome is what I am saying. :)
