I admire Elvis. He had a great voice and a lot of charisma but how can you honestly put him on the same level of talent as Michael Jackson. Michael was a rhythmic wizard the likes of which we have never seen and will unlikely ever see. He could trace the motion of rhythms in his head as if he could see them. It was something so remarkable that in my opinion warrants scientific investigation of his brain. He was truly a one off specimen. Thankfully he didn't go unnoticed.

Not putting MJs dance style down, he is a fantastic dancer but there is absolutely nothing sexy, sensual, or wild about it...it is SO choreographed. I get tired of the whole robotic thing too. I like how E moves his body with freedom and it is an innovative style...uninhibited...and had a "celebratory" feel to it. I admire Elvis. He had a great voice and a lot of charisma but how can you honestly put him on the same level of talent as Michael Jackson. Michael was a rhythmic wizard the likes of which we have never seen and will unlikely ever see. He could trace the motion of rhythms in his head as if he could see them. It was something so remarkable that in my opinion warrants scientific investigation of his brain. He was truly a one off specimen. Thankfully he didn't go unnoticed.

MJ did`nt even play an instrument. With his limited skills he had to use dance (he was a good dancer), lost of other dancers, lightshow, etc. He was very limited as a singer. VERY limited. Elvis on the other hand could sing anything.

Yes, Elvis was inducted into several different music genre hall of fames. Everyone knows he could sing different genres..other then that, he was nothing special and never cared to do more then be a cover singer his entire career. He simply was not as talented as MJ..who was a songwriter, composer, producer, and choreographer.
Most of Elvis' sales are inflated anyways. 1 billion is a stretch. MJ has outsold him worldwide.

Keep in mind half the country was giving him a very rough time in the beginning and many people were against his style. He was drafted into the army during his absolute peak of success. If Elvis had the technology, the high volume of people and similar culture that we live in today his numbers would never be reached.

Years later in 2002, a remix was done to this Elvis song and it quickly went on to reach # 1 in over 20 different countries. So as you can see you're wrong. At the end of the day people listen with their ears and Elvis had the better voice. Not only that he could sing any style of music but MJ could not. Both MJ and Elvis were great but I highly doubt anyone will ever surpass Elvis' vocal talent.

@mjfanforever2010 ...As a fan of both I agree MJ didn't need to copy from Elvis. Both had their own unique style. It's hard to say what Elvis could've done etc...He didn't want to be a songwriter. So yes MJ was a more successful songwriter & a better dancer, but Elvis clearly had the better vocals/ vocal range. Elvis may possibly have the best voice of all- time. Both extremely talented but the biggest difference is Elvis was the first to change the landscape & everyone else followed.

MJ didn't pay anyone to write his music. His most famous songs, like Beat It, Smooth Criminal, Billie Jean.. were composed, written, and produced by himself. He is the only person with credit for such songs. Unlike Elvis who put his name on other people's songs as songwriter when he never did write any songs. He was limited in his talents. MJ, on the other hand, did just about everything while Elvis stood on stage and sang cover songs.

Dancing.... well personally I dont care much about dancing. Elvis is THE artist that cant be called limited. He could sing R&R, Country, Soul, pop, gospel, anything. Not putting MJs dance style down, he is a fantastic dancer but there is absolutely nothing sexy, sensual, or wild about it...it is SO choreographed. I get tired of the whole robotic thing too. I like how E moves his body with freedom and it is an innovative style...uninhibited...and had a "celebratory" feel to it. I love his dance sequence in movie Loving You in the cafe..it is brief but his sidestep is heavenly. It makes my heart sing every time! In his later years he just gyrates a lot! :)

Its sad what happened to both of them.
