  • This is movie we are talking about, right? Does it really need scientific approach and explanation? It's just a movie! Get over it, spoiler! :P

  • Watching this video and reading some of these comments I'm not sure...whether I should feel sorry for apes or should I feel sorry for humans... Movie seems interesting. And this guy sounds silly because we already knew that...without being experts.

  • i hate how this guy makes the movie seem totally scientifically ignorant...the apes have been administered a drug that changes their brain function so they ARE NOT the same apes you see in the jungle who bluff..clearly for whatever reason the apes are aggressive and exhibit all the symptoms seen in the movie..this seems perfectly reasonable to me given the circumstances of the apes..just my 2cents..

  • Thank god apes don't have the internet, cuz if they did; I'm sure this guy would be on Ceasar's shit list?

  • the movie does portray the docile characteristics hes talking about, before the apes are given a mind altering drug.

  • hes probably the guy who ruins movies by describing how every scene is inaccurate..

  • @STRAIGHTVODKACOMEDY wooow, you mad bro?..i simply made a joke about those friends that everybody has that ruins movies by saying "yea right thats so fake", lol ur life must be pretty sad to get angry over something so petty...i didnt say anything offensive, but i will tell you to go fuck yourself and get a life you sad cunt...have a nice day faggot

  • Planet of the Apes reference books can be found on Amazon. They include "Timeline of the Planet of the Apes: The Definitive Unauthorized Chronology" and "From Aldo to Zira: Lexicon of the Planet of the Apes-The Comprehensive Unauthorized Encyclopedia." Both from Hasslein Books.

  • u do know in the end of the movie there is a pandimic that starts and kills people right

  • beware the apeopcalpse is coming soon!

  • btw if they make a video game i guess its gonna be a 1st person and the goal is 2 kill as many apes as possible O_o

  • im sure apes will NOT take over the planet because this is a STUPID MOVIE GOSH PEOPLE JUST WATCH THE MOVIE AND DON'T WONDER IF APES REALLY WILL TAKE OVER

  • I wish the movie was reality.

Humanity is a disgusting virus that destroys this planet.

  • I think researchers should be subjective and mentioning your own perception to animal smell is not an appropriate documentary.

  • In the end it wasn't Earth they wanted. It was welfare.

  • Apes already have taken over the planet. After all, we have one in the Whitehouse.

  • @SirChimpsalot Well I'll be a monkey's uncle.

  • yeah as 2ndact said, increasing their intelligence changes their behavior. He must not have seen the movie. Their intelligence is increased in a plausible way, and humans cause their own downfall, not the apes.

  • This guy has obviously not seen the movie. In the movie, they weren't even trying to take over the world. They were just trying to get to the red woods.

  • The apes in the movie aren't scary because of their intellect. The main ape in the movie (ceaser a bit spoiler alert) finishes a puzzle that's actually quite difficult in the least amount of moves. So im assuming his IQ is somewhat average. Lets say 100. In the movie because of his drug his IQ doubled every year (i think. it might be every couple) so that means his IQ is well 400+ . Now imagine a couple hundred thousands of that.

  • chimps are underestimated by us. its just mean

  • The apes' core genetic makeup was changed, it is unscientific to claim that the mating patterns of their species could not be changed by something so drastic.

  • Also, what's the name of the song that starts playing at 0:37?

  • The apes don't overcome humans by increasing their population and fighting the humans. At the end of the movie, you'll know what happens.

  • At the end of the movie they explain how the apes eventually take over the planet.

  • The scientist who did this review did it before the movie was released and did NOT watch it.

The apes in this movie are passive, just like he said, and only get violent when interfered with by humans, like he said. Him calling the film incorrect is INACCURATE. He should have watched it first, because it does do what he said..

  • @LobsterPotsticker He isnt wrong. He was just going by gorillas. This was about chimps. If he was reviewing King Kong then this would be spot on.

  • @LobsterPotsticker I am in biological sciences and do science :) I support your comment....besides the apes were drug enhanced and their brain function changed, so they have the strenght of the animal and an intellect higher than the human counterparts....Havent seen the movie, just the trailers. Tumbs up

  • They have. Humans are apes. Specifically, Great Apes.

  • Could apes really take over the planet?

No, but they could take over Walmart.

    I know: doesn't make sense.

  • yeah at the end humans are endagered by a potential transmitted virus which could reduce the population by large amounts

  • @14NordicLight88 IDK what's going on in the UK, but you're not going to get any sympathy points with this.

  • @14NordicLight88 and what race are you?

  • But what you're missing----the apes never wanted to take over, they wanted to be free to live in the wild. The humans created a virus which would soon kill them off, and not affect the apes.

  • You forget one important fact that the movie presents, these are not regular apes! These apes have attain intelligence that is on par or greater than humans, they have been held captive by humans which makes them aggressive because we've intervene throughout their whole lives. How they grow in population is also up to debate because of the level of intelligence, they are aware of their numbers and probably want to expand. Comparing them to real life apes is ridiculous.

  • "Apes may be large, powerful animals but they have naturally created a violence free social structure". Based on the totality of the evidence, I'm skeptical about this statement. It is interesting to see the youtube channel for a big school publishing information which contradicts the insight of many specialists and experts.

  • @alainawrigley

SERIOUSLY! a violence free social structure? Is no such thing as a violence anything in the wild kingdom, much less than our our society. Apes can get a aggressive just as much as we do even without interference. Chimpanzees are the worst, they kill other apes for meat.

  • The fact is we are apes, we're in the great apes family literally, so we're already in the planet of the apes...

  • Is there the name of the music that plays at the title of the movies at 0:37 ~ thanks!

  • @0zalarfTheGreat It's music from the international trailer of the movie... you can find it here...watch?v=ihve-FRtT5s

  • @EmoryUniversity Awright! thank you! :)))

  • When is the movie coming out?

  • Comment removed

  • Too bad apes didn't evolve civilization capable intelligence. It sounds like if they did it it would be sustainable.

  • So in the movie apes take over and that's how human society ends? whatever happened to us blowing it all to hell?

  • @unicyclebabyguy

The movie insinuates that we die of a virus... or something rather.

  • @bjahava Oh, well that makes more sense, I guess. I'm a big planet of the Apes fan and didn't even know about this movie until now.

  • @unicyclebabyguy

Yeah the remake was decently done... i gave it a b-. Not a waste of money or time.

But yeah the ending is kind of dodgy, in that the apes dont take over shit... and the humans are for the most part ok, its a cliff hanger ending.

  • @bjahava

I believe if it weren't for that virus, no matter how smart and strong the apes were, we would win. More people, more guns. Unless the apes someone built a nuke....then we have a problem. :(

  • @comixgod50

Lol one nuke wouldnt do shit... there is like 7 billion of us. They would have to nuke everywhere to have an effect... that would hurt them too. Plus there is like wat 200 thousands Apes non including humans?

Its a fantasy, and even if it were real it would stil be close to impossible. It would be like us trying to kill every single fly on the planet. Not happening.

  • "Could apes really take over the planet?"

They already have. They're called humans. You can also smell some of them before seeing them.

  • @RPFS2008 LOL <3 Like my Cousin! XD

  • @RPFS2008 There is a kid at my school who's like that. He doesn't look like any animal I've ever seen. But he does stink a lot.

  • @RPFS2008, sadly but true. the less intelligent member of the family took over the planet indeed. The good news is that we will destroy each others soon or some day, leaving them to restored order & balance to the planet. I hope that they are nice to their few good human family member rerlatives & let us share the new world with them.

  • @Wolfen443

Replace intelligent for greedy, or selfish. I know your trying to make a point, but human beings are bar non the most sophisticated beings known to earth.

  • @RPFS2008 O yeah! Totally agree! It is impossible to find bigger, more stupid and more dangerous apes than we are!

  • @RPFS2008 As smart as this guy is you should of known that he already knows this.

It's a shame your comment received so many thumbs up.

  • @AgrivatedKillah

    You wound me

  • @RPFS2008 humans and apes are different things

  • @warmpond

Not at all. We are as much an ape as the chimpanzee is.

  • @RPFS2008 listen evolution was proven wrong years ago, the world just refuses to except it

  • @warmpond

    lol

  • Awesome. Go Tom. I called this movie out as monkey hate propaganda after the first trailer I saw. I'll probably still see it, though.

  • @STRAIGHTVODKACOMEDY Yeah! No Prejudice!

  • @STRAIGHTVODKACOMEDY Really? I always saw them as "Humans can be douches, and monkeys are misunderstood"

  • Actually chips do have war. In their societies. lol

  • @falulu209 Against the Africans!

  • I've only seen the original POTA, but didnt the humans overwhelm themselves with Nukes? It wasnt the Apes.

Could be wrong, but I enjoyed the video nonetheless :P

  • @randomusername36

YOU MANIACS! YOU BLEW IT ALL UP! DAMN YOU TO HELL! gotta love Charlton Heston's acting.

  • That may be true for gorillas but most of the clips are showing chimps. Chimps have definitely been filmed killing other chimps from other clans and have attacked humans. Not that this movie has any basis in reality whatsoever, just saying.

  • @Jangocat yes. Chimps are known to be far more aggresive then Gorillas however in the movie the gorilla was not destroying everyting. He was pissed for being kept in a bird cage. Also this movie did use some facts like the instant memory scenes. If you watch "ape Geniuses" you would see a lot of information taken from chimp facts into it. And chimps hunt exactly like they did here going after smaller weaker primates from the trees to slaughter them. The virus was the only fiction.

  • Spoilsport!! jk. Thank you.

  • You are underestimating Ceaser :)

  • puts my fears to rest...now i can go and enjoy that movie lol

  • @BluMonkiSpartan LOL! It would be frightening!

  • @BluMonkiSpartan Yeah well this is before us intervening with them and injecting them with the ALZ 112 or something similar in theory. I love how the film almost teaches us not to play with God because if you're not ready you can never quite know.

  • @BluMonkiSpartan He just saying apes the way they are right now arent aggressive. But if we gave them a drug increasing intelligence like in the movie, its very possible.
