  • great song...

  • FERAL!

  • Andy's a maniac. Love it!!!

  • WOW...first time I've seen this. You'd never know from viewing it that Andy apparently had terrible stage fright. Amazing how their sound evolved from here to the SKYLARKING and ORANGES AND LEMONS days.

  • I love this song!! この時代に行きたい!!

  • Awesome, just awesome.

  • Brilliant indeed. Thanks for posting.

28 years later, a simple video of XTC playing is still such a thrill.

  • The only time I ever saw them live must have been on this tour in 1980 - Rotter's nightclub in Doncaster. They were two hours late coming on stage and they opened with this. This could well have been that night; one of the best live gigs I've seen before or since, absolutely brilliant band.

  • this is probably the only XTC song that is actually slower than the album version

  • Clapt^H^H^H Dave Gregory is God!

  • Right on

  • uh...YES!!!!

  • The PRECISIO, FIDELITY,AND POWER of these guys 'live' is REALLY unusual.... have you all noticed! Keeping up such a standard must have been exhausting!

    Gracias, amigos....

  • They were a machine onstage, chugging away. I will pit any live band on earth against XTC in 1980.

  • I agree -- I was awekstruck by them back then and these clips only bear out my memory. Scary. And we're all guitar players; they were frightening!

  • cool cool cool, this concertwould be a good one to revive the xtc weed group

  • bad quality but good!

  • hey rev, it's not that bad. it's frickin 1980, for crissakes. if this is a private logger, it's all the more amazing--because back then, "non-professionals" would have to smuggle in camcorders. Each reel of the film would record at most 10 minutes in mono--that is, if the camera is properly placed. If a bootlegger back in the day would want to record an entire concert, he would have to have 10-15 film reels on him. This was before the days of VHS camcorders, even!
