Hello my iphone is working with internet, itunes, etc but when I try to use the phone it doesn't work I accidentally upgraded to 4.3.5 and now I'm able to jailbreak but not to use the phone do I really need a SIM adapter or is there any other way around it? I don't have an AT&T sim card :( I've done redsn0w, greenpoison. and my phone application still doesn't work.

u dont needa sim adapter, you can download Ultra Snow from cydia, or just jailbreak it

Does these steps work??

-get a temporary att sim card

-insert sim card into iphone 3g/3gs

-let itunes register/activate the phone

-do not update/restore

-unplug iphone 3g/3gs and take out att sim card

- get a sim card universal adaptor that will allow you to use your provided mobile carrier, like T-mobile

if it does, I will try it

The updated on in the description doesnt work at all for my iphon 3g

im hoping that first one with changing att sim card works... hopefully :(

i think the idea with the sim card universal adaptor is the best and easiest solution, isn´t it? What do you mean? Which card would you use for the 3GS? Did you have any experience with stealthsim?

Regarding jailbreak for 3GS (emergancy call only) I didn´t get positive Feedbacks. What do you mean should I jailbreak?

Thanks for sharing the solution but I am not in the US anymore and I lost my ATT sim, what else can I do? I did exactly what I shouldn't have done :( update to 3.1.3 and restored!!! The unlock will be out soon. If it was asking for a contract, the phone should still turn on, without you having to enter information. check out iphone dev team for updates.

Any idea when the unlock/jailbreak for baseband 5.12.07 and firmware 3.1.3 will be out? I wasn't able to unlock using a friend's SIM b/c my friend said it was asking her to enter her soc information and it was possibly going to make her sign a contract. Also, my friend has a 3G data plan and I have a 2G phone (would that cause problems?) I can't wait until the unlock for the baseband 5.12.03 & firmware 3.1.3 is out!

You can jailbreak firmware 3.1.3, but the unlock is not out yet.- use fuzzyband to downgrade base band- if you have boot loader 5.08. No, you take it out right when it goes to the home screen =]
