They are so greatly misunderstood, and it just breaks my heart that all you see in the media is the bad stuff. Things that the owners should be punished for, not the breed. My girl is named Dakota after the rescue dog from the space shuttle disaster. (a friend works on there shuttles). It also means 'friend' and ' forever smiling' which discribes my girl. My older girl saved me and my pup from a labrador and spaniel attack. But without leaving a mark on either of them!

@XxbritpupxX My oldest pibble is in training as my service animal. So far I have mostly encountered good comments about her being a service dog. Some are amazed to know there is no prohibition on the breed of dog.

Awesome video! I just got me a 7 week old full blooded razor edge pit bull, he's so awesome and he's going to grow up to be a good dog, because I'm a good owner who finds dog fights disgusting and immoral!

SOCIALIZE SOCIALIZE and then SoCIALIZE some more. Many pet stores and some farm supply stored allow dogs to go in on leash if they are current on their shots and behave well. Positive reinforcement obedience classes are highly recomended as well. Take care of your pup and it will take care of you.

i am 29 yrs old. while growing up we've always had pitbulls as we currently have one. he will be eleven in february. he has never bitten anyone or even hinted towards biting. he is a big baby. his name is buster. i have nothing against any breed of dog just negligent owners. but fyi our neighbor had a black lab that had bitten every kid, not just anybody but kids on our road and thats "america's dog". go figure!

Michael Vick skating by without facing charges for animal abuse and felony dog fighting doesn't help those of us fighting for the breed. His plea bargain let him off everything but Federal Racketeering.

No word of a lie I have owned Labs Boarder Collies, ect...and the smartest and most level headed dog I have owned is my Amstaff. He is very protective when we are at home in our house, but I see nothing wrong with that. When he is in public he is a complete gentleman, and very tolerant towards other dogs including the smaller dog which usually barks uncontrollably. The media should be shot and pissed on for what they have done to this breed.

They are great dogs if they are put with the right family. Because of their protective nature they will never stop fighting for you. When i was walking my boyfriend's pitbull, there were a bunch of thugs at the bottom of my building and they were saying bad things about me and intimidating making me feel very threatened. He felt the need to protect me, he got up on his hind legs and started barking uncontrollably scaring them away. I believe that the pitbull ban in Ontario should be changed.

Awesome video! I live in ontario, canada and i adopted my pitbull after the ban. Everyone here is so brainwashed by the media about pitbulls i even have had ppl yell at me for walking down the street with my dog. He's well behaved and the best dog i could have asked for! I have videos of him up on youtube to show ppl their friendly dogs and make great family pets.

Ontario's ban prevents my family from visiting my wife's family. We won't leave our babies with just anyone and with the ban 2 of 3 are not allowed in the province. Prejudice bites!!!!

40 or 50 years ago black people were still strongly prejudiced against. Prejudice didnt make sense then and it still doesn't make sense now. Too often people will believe anything they see in the media, just out of sheer laziness and ignorance. I'm sorry about your experience, but just remember that the problem is with THEM and NOT you.

I live here also , my dogs have papers that say they are another breed from my vet . They will never see a muzzle ,How did Michael Bryant make out ?

I suffer from various medical conditions as a result I black out. When i black out i have to be revived as soon as possible to prevent brain damage. I blacked out three weeks ago while walking my Pitbull, he stayed by my side and pestered me until i came round. He probably saved my life. No home should be without a Pitbull.

my old pit bull took three nine mm bullets for me when my neighbor attempted to break in to my house my dog broke both his arms after being shot and held him till i got help he was nearly crippled for his saving me

Sorry but the article I saw didn't specify sex. :)Of course the sex doesn't matter except to a breeder. My girls are just my babies but fixed to save me from having the responsibility of finding good homes. Living in a thug area I wouldn't chance a pup going to a Vick.

Great Video. I too was saved by a Pit Bull I rescued. he is no longer with me physically but will be forever in my heart. I pray daily for more education and better homes for this wonderful breed. Great Video.
