Cool song. I volunteered for the Iditarod Race in the mid 1980's. A fun and unique experience. Of course we listened to Hobo Jim and others all the time!

@katalendw There almost wasn't a song. He explained it once. He was laying in bed one night, suffering from insomnia, and he suddenly sat up and said, "I did it!" His wife asked "Did what?" He said, "I did the Iditarod Trail!" He never intended to write a song about the Iditarod Trail specifically, he was just trying to come up with another song.
