  • Thanks for the vid. Love your nails.

  • gostei muito!!!, estou aprendendo com vocês...Deus abençoe.

  • Btw, I just noticed that this posted through my son's Youtube account, I am not into airsoft, lol!

  • So glad I came across your video! I saw a different video first and was going to use their technique, I like yours much better, the rose is much more realistic looking. I can hardly wait to try this, thanks!

  • i love this tutorial! and your nails! :)

  • very pretty :)

  • Hi! I recently found a very good e-shop with CLAYCRAFT by DECO: handicraft.pro. It is in Prague.

Hope it is useful for everybody who wants to make flowers! )

  • I love this rose, it's so realistic! Thanks a lot for posting this interesting video.

  • Thanks so much for the tutorial! XD

  • That would look so cute as a ring !

  • dont you hate when the clay is all hard and you have to warm it up? I like to use model magic :)

  • i loved this! thankyou so much!! Also, I'm actually really jealous of your nails, I can never get them to grow long, I always manage to chip them :( my thumbnail ripped yesterday and bled xD

  • @XxDinosaurzGoRawrxX I tell everyone to use cuticle oil! it will make your nails flexible and moisturized! dry brittle nails chip, crack and peel. Try it and let me know how you make out!

  • @sewcrafty1 will do! thankyou very much xD

  • i dont think ur nails r scary, like every1 else. They're mean. I love ur nails I have long nails too and they rock! I noticed a lot of people who work with polymer clay have long nails like me and you. i <3 ur video

  • @serenabone Thank you for your comment, people sometimes just don't know that it is possible to actually be a skilled person with long nails like us.

  • @sewcrafty1 lol its true

  • When I put the leaves on it messed up my rose :(

  • your nails match the pink clay

  • her nailz are not real loll

  • Is it better to use a more firm clay or softer clay? I've been trying to make a nice rose for days with soft clay but I haven't been successful yet lol

  • @Necrosarium I've not used soft clay so I wouldn't know. If you wanna try making your own clay that hardens up when dry. use

1 white slice of bread minus the crust 1 tablespoon of white glue knead it together,it will be messy at first but makes a smooth wonderful clay that you can add color to and make lots of flowers that do dry hard.

  • Very realistic, thanks;)

  • scary nails!

  • @roh423 Booooooooooooo!

  • @sewcrafty1

    omg u scared me

lol so funny from u to say boo xDD

  • @roh423 I found the nails somewhat distracting, but overall video was very informative.

  • her nails are lovely! gosh some people are so rude

  • Wow. You'd think no one has ever seen long healthy/acrylic nails. What is wrong with her nails? Nothing.

  • Im going to send you some nial clippers... it must be hard working with clay my good ness but the rose it really pretty.:!

  • @UNICORNSpoopMUFFINS you can keep your clippers! I do my work well with the way they are and your clipper comment was unnecessary.

  • Oh, thank u so very much, u made it look so easy..so beautiful..can't wait 2try this..make a ring out it😃

  • @sewcrafty1

I had a question, are these the little pieces that they use to decoden the phone cases?

  • @ccarino10 I don't know what decoden phone case looks like, but with this rose you can dress up any phone case you like and much more.

  • Nice job..thank you!

  • AWESOME ROSE!! Thank you for showing!!

  • Wow! Really pretty rose...good job)))

  • Where can I buy polymer clay? Ps. Good video

  • ahh!!!!!!!!!!!!! your nails are so scary

  • @princesshana05 your kidding aren't you? I mean really.

  • @sewcrafty1 i think she means that their long thats y she said that but think its ccccccccccccccoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooool lol

  • Thank you! I've been wanted to make these for deco den!:)

  • Those nails are obliviously not real A-a-are they

  • @cinda2030 yes they are real, but that is not what this video is about.

  • Lovely rose & I appreciate the clear, concise directions. I'd really love to see you do a tutorial on creating a dozen roses wrapped up like you would give someone for say a graduation or valentines, etc...That would really be terrific because I haven't seen that on utunes yet. Tx for sharing your work!

  • muito bom, gostei

  • Thank u so much for this video I'm going to make one now thank youuuu so much

  • The flower is amazing but hehehe, i love you nails

  • Wow...great work.Thanks

  • your nais are very long not trying to be rude or anything but wow.

  • This is so pretty and simple to follow. I can't wait until I get my polymer clay!!

  • nyc. i love it... but my roses get cracks when they get dry...Wat shud i do?

  • @virtualgirl27 Polymer should not crack, knead it well before you use it.

  • @virtualgirl27 You probibly used play-dough.. XD

  • sorry i didnt mean to sound rude i was saying it looked scary to me

  • omg your nails are scary

  • @mericky422 This video is about a flower! not about my nails! scary is your rude comment.

  • @mericky422 I guess you're trying to say thank you for learning something, in your own rude way. If not, well too bad, because you watched the video to learn something and you did, so you SHOULD, say thank you.

  • @TheSweetestThing234 would you keep you butt out of peoples business i am sure the person who posted this video relised i didn't mean it in that way and i understand how she felt and i am sorry to her about that but you don't need to get involved and your talking about saying thankyou i will say thankyou to her NOT YOU so keep out of other peoples conversations!!

  • @mericky422 You will say thank you to her? Good, that's what I wanted you to do. Good girl! :p

  • At 2:56you put ingers instead of fingers

  • @DolleMcRocky it was a typo of-course, but you got it anyway.

  • incredible incredible incredible...

  • хрень...

  • want to eat them :D beautiful!

  • I love your video :-)...-3 it's fantastic, beautiful:)

  • I love tour

  • Wonderful !!!! I really love your video !!!

  • @porcelaineartdelatab thank you!

  • i can see lots of finger prints srry but the rose came out to look so realistic!

  • Your video is excellent but I do have to read faster. Do not let the negative comments about your nails upset you. There are so many people in this world that feel the need to express what they are thinking eventho it is hurtful. I will be looking at your other videos because I feel inspired to try them. I do paint but would like for my daughter to try this too.

    Eleanor

  • Katalina, a very very good video . I would have to practice and practice. Would love to be able to sit and do these crafts with you.

    Eleanor

  • Thank you so much!!!

  • Wat do u mean by pinch it???

  • I really do love this, great job(:

  • What would you recommend for someone trying to make a small rose? The tutorial you gave us looks easy since it was so big, but for a tiny one, would you say to still make it the same way?

  • @RaeLynnShikure yes you can

  • @ NoorJahanzeb if u want to color use cold porcelain it air dry and if u want oven bake use polymer clay. If u have any questions on cold porcelain check out cutetanpopo's cold porcelain review

  • @NoorJahenzeb well if you want to color your clay yourself use cold porcelain it's airdry but if u want oven bake use polymer clay :) if you have any questions about cold porcelain check out cutetanpopo's cold porcelain review it'll help a lot

  • hey hello, i have never worked with any clay, i wud be really really grateful if u can tell me which clay shud i work with, and plus, wud it be really really safe to put it in oven? the normal oven that we have at our homes??

and instead of buying differnt colored clay, can i color white clay with water colors or something?

  • thank you so much for this!

  • Have not tried it yet but surely will......loved your video

  • you are so talented with your crafts but these ghetto ass nails have to go im sorry

  • Lol. For some reason, I felt like you were neutering the rose when you chopped off its end.

  • @sewcrafty You know I made this rose for my art project in sculpture and I had a high grade! I think I'm gonna try the edible one next! Thanks so much for the tips!!

  • You can stab someone with those nails ahah. Great rose, very beautiful!

  • *Fave

  • Roses r my face flowers, and seeing how pretty u made it, I'm just dying to make one :D

  • I actually think it's amazing how she has long nails and can do such a beautiful job with polymer clay. Thank you so much for this tutorial :3

  • @Demyxcloneone Thank you for your comment. <3

  • I think it is just confusing to many people, how you can make anything with clay and have nails that are so long. I know I keep mine really short...because it is honestly too much of a pain to clean up the nail marks, or try to move my hands and fingers in unnatural ways for me to avoid getting them.

For polymer clay beginners especially...I would suggest losing the nails. Though as you see there are people who can sculpt with them.

  • @ohnognome I hope that seeing someone do this kind of work with long nails just shows people that it can be done and no it will not mess up if you know what you are doing. In life there are people who hold back from trying new things because they think they can't and I say yes you can.

  • @sewcrafty1 Ou, I sense Obama here.

btw, the rose is really pretty. I will try to do one tomorrow.

  • Can you add an armature for taller skinnier pieces? Can you leave a finished piece out in a tiny garden in the rain and snow? What kind of paint do you use for jewelry and small sculpture?

  • Thank-you - just started with clay today and I would love to be able to make such a beautiful rose. Great tutorial! thanks

  • what's with the nails? geez, people!

  • I do Fondant cakes and like your technique. Thanks for sharing!

  • awesome rose!!!! I wish I could do that on something edible...like....candy...mmmm caaanddyyyy....

  • @iLikeCereal04 you can!!!! melt some chocolate with kayro syrup and you have a dough you can eat as a flower. Google it for the exact amounts you would use.

  • the rose that u made is ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL!!!!! XD

Also, what's the fuss with the nails??? :o they look fine!!!!! Actually, pretty too :)

Thnx for the video, it'll help alot in my polymer-clay making ;) -mnmknk123-

  • Thank you so much for this tutorial! Love it!

  • Hi, thank you for the video!

I tried doing the rose some times, but it came too much... ehm... closed on it self.

Maybe i did something in the wrong way, have you some tips to put petal not too much closer to the centre?

    Hope you can help.

    Hugs,

    Katiuscia

  • do u need a right kind of clay???? because i dont no what clay i should use

  • Im not understanding the fuss over her nails! LOL I had no idea it was a big deal! I see nails like this all the time are you serious?

  • I LOVE roses! This video was very helpful, I definitely feel like I can do this myself!! Im just getting into polymer clay & I am anxious to do a lot of clay crafts! Great video, thanks!

  • Holy nails. Love the rose!

  • @purple2275 this is a "ROSE VIDEO" how dare you be so rude? Grow up!

  • This video is AWESOME and your rose was GORGEOUS! Thank you so much for the inspiration and for sharing is amazing tutorial with us. :)

  • beautifull!

  • @sewcrafty1 Woo... there's a lot of haters in these comments. The rose looks beautiful and you created a very helpful and instructive tutorial. Ignore the rabble and their petty remarks. I'm amazed so many have the balls to try tell you what to do with your nails. They can't deny the rose is amazing, and the steps are easy to follow. Great tutorial. Thank you for sharing it with us. <3

  • @MiruCross Thak you so much for your comment, I wish people would get it and leave my nails out of the comments.

  • @sewcrafty1

+ Your nails are just BEAUTIFUL! :)

  • I just took an interest in polymer clay today! your video is one of the first I've checked out, and your rose is absolutely beautiful. nice work!!

  • That will be fun. I haven't done it for close to 50 years Ah Oh! Showing my age. LOL. . Used to have a booklet on how to do it

  • Many years ago, I used to make roses using white bread and white glue. So happy that we now have the wonderful polymer clay. Your rose is lovely and thank you for sharing your talent with others like me. Sorry there always have to be snotty people that have nothing better to do than to make comments that have nothing to do with what you are showing on your video.

  • @isaybub Thank you so much for your comment! I still do the bread roses! I'll have to make a video of it and post it soon.

  • first of all beautiful tutorial and thank you i cant wait to get started on mine! and you nails are beautiful as well and any one who has taken care of their nails and not just been so lazy as to go and get fake ones put on would be able to tell when a woman has her own real nails done nicely... but really tho it was a beautiful video as well and i hope you make more and dont let the few stupid people out there discourage you!

  • wow... don't know how you managed a tutorial in just 4 minutes!!?! I did a flower tutorial and it took 24 minutes!! lol.. Love the flower you made! =D

  • I happen to like your nails.

  • I did some miniature one and i put them on my nails. It look good. In one of my video i will show you how to do miniature.

P-S:im note the author of the video

  • The roses are beautiful. You are very talented. Thank you for taking the time to make and edit this video - I am sure it is time consuming.

  • The roses are beautiful. You are very talented. Thank you for taking the time to make and edit this video - I am sure it is time consuming.

  • Wow

  • I like ur nails and the video thanks for sharing.

  • Lovely rose!!

    Thanks for sharing.

I've been looking for something like this all over the net. So glad i finally found it.

    Thanks again!

  • I absolutely love the rose! This is the most realistic one I have seen so far. Thank you for sharing! :)

  • nice nails

  • lol at all these "nail" complaints. You do know the video is called "Polymer clay rose"

not "Hey Check Out My Nails".

    btw very nice roses :)

  • @minecrafting129 Thank you so much for this comment! I am just giving up on the nonsense of the nail comments when I just made a polymer rose video, Thank you again! much love.

  • @veryberrybread1 you can see her real nails growing anderneath the long ones! and you can see how much the real nails have grown when you look closely at the pictures in the video.

  • I made a hair clip!!!thnx

  • Ohhh nice. I wanna make a big one and wear it as a brooch. OwO

  • looks amazing!! :)) but it could be easy for some people to understand what you mean if you call the "bead" the clay or the ball instead. just a tip but keep it up really good :D

  • ur nails r lovely. i think its amazing how u can do something so delicate and fiddly with them so long and im lovin the rose aswel!!!

  • Perfect perfect perfect

  • the rose looked so real! :) bdw, I really love the song. Could you please tell me the artist and the title of the song? pretty puhleaaaaseeee? :)

  • dislike your nails.good rose though

  • @lolaTheGreat123 Can you tell me where in my video I have a like or dislike on my nails? I try to put out an educational video on how to make a "rose" to "help" people not be put down for the way "I" have "my" nails.

So sad people lack respect and try to put people down for their nails, shame.

  • @sewcrafty1 Well love you too,, Because, first off thats Why i said, Good Rose though, and when you are making the ''rose'' all you can see is ''fake'' nails, my opinion, And Why Shame, Come on...

  • @lolaTheGreat123 If you reread your comment you put my nails down which are not fake and I've had for over 45 years, if you knew me you would now they are real. I don't know why you had to comment on my nails being they are not the subject here. I want to teach and I am not cutting my nails off so I can teach. If I went up to you a stranger and said I like your outfit but dislike your face would that hurt? I hope you get my point and just think before you speak.

  • @sewcrafty1 So if Your Nails Was ''That'' Nice How Come Two People Have Liked My Comment :/ You Might like them But Others Might. And I Am Open,, And Wtf.. If You Went Up To a Stranger and said i like your outfit but dislike you face, ~What The Hell Has That Got To Do With A Rose? :/ Anything else???...

  • @sewcrafty1 Why Delete My Comment, that just shows :/ Disgraceful!!!! Anything else? ? ?

  • @sewcrafty1 if ur talking about the nails in your video - then it is kinda obvious that they are fake (or else they just look REALLY fake).

  • @sewcrafty1 im sorry but the nails are fake you cant lie about that...

but your rose is acctually BEAUTIFUL! thankss xx

  • @weetiffbbz well maybe the nails are real and she just happened to color them u cant just go up to the comment box and say "sorry ur nails are fake and u cant lie bout it" cause thats just wierd i mean its not ur concern if her nails are fake of not and the video is called "polymer clay rose" not "heys lets all make comments on my nails!" so u should keep ur comments to urself cause u could of hurted her feelings

  • @princesspop499 well you can comment on the video, it doesn't say what i have to comment on? i have a right to my own opinion and theres nothing you can do to make me stop saying it ;)

and seriously are you too lazy to put the "y" and "o" in the word you?

  • @sewcrafty1

Hi I enjoyed the tutorial on the rose and I am going to try your technique. Thank you for posting your video. I had to watch the video twice because I was actually distracted by your nails. I found that my eyes were being diverted to your nails instead of the tutorial. But, to each his/her own.

  • @lolaTheGreat123 i totally agree XD... but GEAZEEEE girl do you have to make a big deal? she said " i like the rose thought", she wasn't trying to be rude, just shut up, you dont need to get all defensive!!!

  • Thx that helped so much

  • I must try this out!

Comunque GRAZIE PER IL TUTORIAL

  • bet the nails helped with the leaves part, will try this though doubt mine will look like that!

  • this project is very nice ,thanks for this video

  • Dear Catherine,

Thank you for your video. I have been wanting to make clay roses to hang on a chandelier in my Shabby Chic craft room, so this video has been a wonderful tool for me! I will try and log on again and let you know how they come out.
