  • does this work with virtual dj???

  • This is a great mixer but why its worth $2500, ill never know. 1400 is pushing it but 2500 is ridiculous.. ill stick to my ttm 57

  • can some one tell me why this is worth about 2,500 -__-

  • @seratotutor,

where did you say the second headphones jack is? (I have the mixer but can't see it on the front panel...)

  • PIONEER DJM2000 I THINK IS BETTER THAN THE 68

  • where can i download this mixer? haha

  • thats a dope setup, hows the crossfader on the 68? any good for scratching?

  • SAVE THE VINYL!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • ...x1 and maschine with my djm-800. You mean you don't DJ you turn knobs and press buttons - learn to beat match and play vinyl or Serato...pressing button and turning knobs isn't DJing...it's faking it!!!

  • super mixer

  • wish i had 2500 bucks

  • Our local club Pure has one, thanks for posting so I could get familiar with it. Seems pretty straight forward and easy to use.

    D.J. Rampage

  • Perfect mixer the best!!!!

  • sweeet I'm still using my Rane ttm-54

  • i was hoping that all the fader where the same as in my 56 that i have been rocking for 6 years :(

  • I'm happy with my Numark 01 Mixer I had over 5 years now still goin strong.I do hip hop,r&b,and reggae you dont need effects for that and besides all them effects is on the laptop when you use Serato SL3 2.1 upgrade so it's not a big deal to me to still touch the laptop keys im not that lazy

  • @BAYBEKDL i hear ya. I still use my Numark Pro SM3 from back in the day. You can still use the effects on the SL1 too.

  • @TheWaynelds I got the DJ Dicer for X-Mas that's even better cause now I don't have to touch the laptop at all

  • Does the 68 come with SL1 or SL3 software?

  • @HollywoodSheen - The Scratch Live software is the same regardless which hardware you have, it's just the specific hardware may have different features/options in the software.

  • i wannt it soo bad!! =[ ...

  • is it possible to switch out from Scratch live to Traktor with that mixer ???

    or any other DVS software?

  • @onijordan - The 68 is a normal mixer like any other, so you can use it with any other DVS. However, you can't use the 68's soundcards and controls with other DVS, at least not currently. There will be ASIO/CoreAudio drivers for the 68 in the future though.

  • @SeratoTutor Just to clear this up, you can use the 68 soundcard for any dvs BUT Traktor. Traktor Scratch dvs is only enabled by NI sound cards and "Traktor Certified" mixers (the 68 is not Traktor certified). However, if you are not using dvs control, such as with controllers or cdj's with HID mode through usb, the sound card in the 68 soundcard can still output each virtual deck's audio signal.

  • @dholling10 - Yes, you can use the 68 as the soundcard for Traktor, just not for timecode control. If you're just using a MIDI controller or CDJs with HID, it works great for that.

  • I'm really liking this mixer! I'm really disliking the price tag tho!

  • I want one but im broke! Sniff Sniff :-(

  • This is just the djm-800 with a midi controller built in. I see you have a traktor x1, so you really wasted your money on the 68. I use the x1 and maschine with my djm-800.

  • @maddetox Who said I paid anything for the mixer? ;)

  • @SeratoTutor WOOT dude.. can i have one :/ i dont have 2500 bucks :S man..... i want this so fucking bad :(

  • @maddetox rane actually sounds very good...

  • do these use the rane magnetic faders or do they use P&G?

  • @djzilchdotcom - The crossfader is Rane's magnetic fader, the channel faders are not the magnetic ones though, I believe they are Alpha faders.

  • Can the cue buttons on either side control scratch live running on absolute mode (since relative mode is really a pain to be playing with...)?

Can you record your set into SL without extra wiring? (With the SL3 box you had to re-wire an rca cable from the mixer's record-out back into SL3's aux input in order to record your set , which meant you couldn't have a 3rd deck connected in this case...)

Is there an option to turn the crossfader off completely?

Where is the 2nd headphone plug?

  • @nounix

    1) You can't use cue points in Absolute mode, that would go against the "physics" of how Absolute mode works.

    2) Yes you can record your set directly in SL with the 68 (and 57 as well) without any extra wiring, and with all 4 decks. All the audio is processed internally.

    3) Yes, each channel has crossfader assignment (A - off - B), it's the little switches above the cue buttons on each channel.

    4) The second headphone jack is right next first one on the front panel of the mixer

  • @SeratoTutor

Thanks for the prompt & helpful reply! :)

Just trying to make my mind up about whether to buy the Pioneer djm 2000 mixer or the 68... Given that I only dj on absolute mode, the only 3 real benefits when djing with a 68 in comparison to the djm 2000 then, are

    1) the 2 usb ports for 2 dj's playing and switching over, and

    2) not having to connect an sl3 (to record a set, bother with wiring in and out)

    and

    3) using effects from the mixer (which I rarely do).

    Have I missed smthng?

  • Great video. Keep up the good work!

  • this mixer counts as the audio interface yea???? :)

  • @GrandFatality1 Yes, two actually.

  • @krod73cr - While the 68 does have some MIDI controls, it's still somewhat limiting in what you can control. Plus, I just prefer the X1 to control most things, the buttons on the 68 are hard plastic, the X1's buttons are rubber. And I had the X1 before the 68 :)

  • Konix, small question. How big is your album artwork, what's the resolution you use to make it scroll that smooth?

I have an older MB and artwork resized to 175x175, and even then scrolling is a bit laggy. So before doing all the work all over again trying other resolutions, it would be nice if I would know what you use. I hope the Graphics card doesn't have TOO much to do with it.

    thanks!

  • @Usethebanana Oh yeah, and "thanks" for the great review... you suddenly convinced me that the 57 is completely inadequate :o)

  • guys... guys... GREAT mixer - no doubt about it - but ever heard about this little financial crisis the world's facing?... Are you people mad?? - what's the deal with the price tag??

  • Does it have two headphone inputs for tag teaming?

  • @gilboogie Yes there's two headpone plugs, but no way to differentiate the outputs.

  • does it have a built in serato?

  • how much ...$7000 ...ahahahahahaaa

  • Sup Turtle! 4 decks ay....sweeet. Did Rane give this to you to demo? Where do you get all the equipment from? Nice vids dude see you next month at the techno fest. PEACE!!!

  • lol you sound so exited at the beginning of the vid!!! awesome! i would be too!

  • I'll stick with my DDM4000

  • I wish they had a better screen like the djm 700/800. for $2600 you think they can upgrade it alittle.

  • Wow...wow...woooow CONGRATS!!! have a lot of fun with that babe;)

  • Pretty impressive mixer. Is it worth the money NO! i'll stick with my djm-700. good tutorial tho.

  • is there going to be a rotory knob kit for this ?

  • I'll stick with the 57.

  • is the serato 2.0 out yet??

  • @EJ8civic k sorry i just checked.. just upgraded to 2.0! i had the beta version used it at one of my gig was stable enough but still had a few bugs to be fixed..

  • konix, is there channel assign for the up faders? also, looks like no fader curve. is that true? man i wish they could have put another cross fader on this baby. would have made tag teams at the club so much more interesting.

  • @BOBBYBLENDZ There's limited channel assign for the upfaders. The is a master curve adjustment on the front of the mixer for the upfaders and the crossfader.

  • Very nice. Are there xlr connections in the rear? Can I ask how much this baby goes for?

  • @djvictorsalazar Yes there's XLR, 1/4" TRS and RCA outputs. MAP is $2599.

  • Man, that's a bad azz mixer!!! Time to sell the TTM57 and get that Sixty-Eight.

  • lucky duck konix wish i had the money

  • dude how'd you get this? saved for it or sponsored?

  • @emkplayboy6 I truly hope they gave it to him!

  • @bangalifarhan Give it an hour or so to process, it was recorded in HD.
