@TokyoSpike I took it as his French accent since at this point he is in England. With no sound, that's the best way to portray an accent I suppose. :)
Valentino had a great way of kissing, didn't he? He always made it seem like he absolutely couldn't resist the woman and was surrending to an overwhelming passion.
I think that's one big reason why so many women loved him -- and still do -- the idea that he was saying, "It's you, the woman, who is so wonderful, not me, the man. *You* are the inspiration for these powerful feelings."
@kangadillo I know and U know what at first I thought, damn, I'm not gonna like this movie, I hate to think of my (our) man in period costume but NOW I love this movie!! I love that deviant little smile on his face at 6:00 and at 7:11 he does look like he's having a blast!! We both know he loved to fence so that scene was right up his alley :)

I know and U know what I remember reading somewhere on the net? I remember reading that during this scene it was very highly censored b/c it was almost to the point of soft core porn! I wish i could find that article again!!! OMG could U just imagine how absolutely DIVINE seeing that scene?? omg i think i need new undies now buhahaha
@IrishEyez01: Gee, they were willing to show Rudy feeling girls up. So what would've been their idea of "soft core porn?" And believe me, that is not a rhetorical question. I really wanna know, or better yet, see!
@IrishEyez01 It just KILLS me that certain parts of old films were eliminated. If only some far-seeing person would have realized that times change, and that some day it'd be perfectly OK to show scenes like that. I have this fantasy of that person working at the film studio, and being ordered to cut out the "naughty" parts and taking them home and hiding them away, hopefully to be discovered and restored.
New undies? I don't need new undies. I need a rubber raft.
Though what's going on with the jus' and such in the subtitles? Is it supposed to sound high-faultin'? :-)

I really hate it at 6:00 when their kiss gets cut short. If there's one thing I hate, it's "Rudy interruptus."
Check out Rudy's face at 7:11. What a hoot! He really seems to be having fun with this role.
