  • i lost 2 briodys at little big horn i dont agree with what they were doing but my ancestors showed courage to all my famiy served in one army or another my father in thecogo cypress the leb for the un as a peace officer i am proud

  • Great movie, great allegory, totally accurate.

  • Film fantastico il primo che denuncia i massacri dei poveri Pellerosse...bella la canzone di apertura, bellissima Candice Bergen!!!

  • Whoever sung soldier blue in the beginning was terrible! she made my ears hurt so bad!!!!!!!!

  • @secretbraniac311 Yeah,no auto correct,terrible

  • Little Big Man was the other film released in 1970 that made parallels to Mi Lai and Viet Nam

  • @joshweiss01 Yes another great western from that time. Perhaps even better in some ways then Soldier Blue.

  • Although the movie made a couple of inexcusable historic mistakes, such as Private Gant saying, that his father was killed at the Little Big Horn. Well, that battle took place on June 25, 1876, and this movie is supposed to be based on the Sand Creek Massacre, which took place in the 1860's in Colorado. Doesn't add up. But, what the hell. If you are some kind of purist, history buff, then you're most likely going to get your shorts in a knot. For me, I loved the movie. Great acting by all

  • dese yankz called everyone nezis. small wonder sas men in afghanistan call them cowards

  • Lang lang ist her, aber der Film war spitze und hart zugleich!!! Gänsehaut!!!

  • i like the song, but i tink it does not fit well here.

  • 9.10 - how did they make that effect ? It looks so real ...

  • I have to say, as a Native Woman, I wish Buffy never made the song for this.

  • it's about time the USA ,AUSTRALIA , not so much new zealand started to look after there inut people ,//////// abo's. red skins ..mouries .

  • si tratta de tempo u s a ,austallia,Nuova zeland non tanto cercato dopo che vi nute persone

  • Love this movie! I remember watching it as a little girl and came out of the theatre crying for my people. This is still happening to my people today, but the outside doesn't want to see it or acknowledge it............

  • @kassandrasduplex True. You could say that this film could very well be made today as a parallel to what is happening in the middle east.

But Hollywood should come as no surprise, as years go by it has become more and more of a safe money making machine. That is why I think the golden age of Hollywood spanned from the 40's through the 70's and then down hill. As far as political films it really cranked out amazing work from the mid 60's through mid 70's.

  • @kassandrasduplex Geeez get out of your Zionist threat beliefs. How about looking inwards how arabs have constantly waged warm hate and terror against Israel since 1948. Turkey LOST world war 1 and had to give Palestine a part of the Ottoman empire to the League of Nations and that area was split in two separate nations, Palestine and Israel.

  • It COULD have ended there, but instead of peace, like every other place in europe, where Germany had to give land to neighbour countries, you did like the third reich. Sought the war and the hate instead of the peace. As long as that is the way that is followed, and hamas continues using population as shields, then go ahead Israel!

  • @Swegen My "Zionist threat beliefs" aside, the history of the Rothschilds (British Petroleum) and the Marcus Samuels family (Royal Dutch Shell) and the Zilkhas (Iraqs "Rothschilds of the Middle East", now doing business Stateside in KKR et al) in the Middle East are very real and were characterized by venality and ruthlessness.

That's the history they created. Hollywood ignores it.

  • @kassandrasduplex No such movies because Arabs can't. Not that the continuing slaughter of Jihadis isn't a good thing, and should continue, but you are wrong to ascribe to Hollywood any prejudice besides profit. Why has no Arab director successfully made and introduced a movie supporting the Arab point of view, for the US market? It can't be the money - Arabs have lots of money, and the Arabs certainly dislike Israel.Perhaps - it's because the Arabs also really don't care about Palestine?

  • @kassandrasduplex And you're the expert on the subject?

  • ok those soldiers not innocent children or women so it isnt the same. thats like saying the the warsaw jewish underground killing german soliders is the same as the nazis killing innocent women and children.

  • what gets me about his movie we all shocked a the brutal masacre of indians a the end fo the movie but the masacre of soldiers at the beginning by indians is totally ok.... talk about hypocrasy!!!

  • The history of the making of America or the how the west was won is bathed in blood. Brutality and savagery on both sides yes, the difference is that one group of people was desperately fighting to save their lives whereas the other was just European expansion at all cost, no matter what the price, in other words, genocide. And this is from God fearing people, church goers, so called civilzed people. That's the hypocrisy.

  • wouldnt have made any difference to the dead mate....

  • @fgulli720 HEY YOU YOUR COUNTRY WOULD BE NOTHING WITHOUT THE EUROPEANS thats why you have the right to leave your BS COMMENT they where savages THEY DIDN,T CARE ABOUT IT i,m not into P.C they have more rights than us white people will have YET THEY STILL BLAME US your country is being took over BY BEING P.C knock yourself out

  • @fgulli720 HMMMM JUST EUROPEAN HMMMM SHAME ON YOU WE MADE YOUR COUNTRY BUDDY they where savages OF THEIR OWN DOING & HEY THEY HAVE MORE RIGHTS THAN ANY WHITE EUROPEANS HAVE I LIVE AMONG THEM I KNOW HOW HATEFUL THEY CAN BE TOWARDS WHITE PEOPLE it,s time for them to give it up as being the victims & ITS TIME FOR WHITE PEOPLE TO STOP FEELING ASHAMED let it go

  • @fgulli720 I agree with what you've said, but aren't you forgetting all the brutal killings of White women and children by the supposed "NOBLE" Redman? Sure, we fucked over the native Americans royally, but it's a fact that they murdered, and very savagely, not just killing, but skinning alive, setting children of fire, stuff like that. And let's not forget what the stronger tribes were doing to the weaker, smaller tribes LONG before we ever got here. It's HUMAN nature, friend, not just White.

  • @skudaarkaat1 I agree this is how they were, and this is how they saw it was supposed to be done based on their beliefs, culture and tradition!

  • @fgulli720 very true

  • @timebandit71 man there were 60mill native americans before Europeans came and of those 800.00 living descendents in 1945. everyone knows how this massacre ended...

  • @timebandit71 i agree AWESOME COMMENT

  • @timebandit71 AWESOME COMMENT I AGREE

  • @timebandit71 who told you that the massacre of soldiers is totally ok?

and it wasn't a massacre. It was an attack. The ending was an massacre. And learn to spell when trying to be a clever dicky.

  • @BOYZEEE1 they took no prisoners and then mutilated the bodies and you say it was just an attack abiding by the rules of war.... next thing you will tell me the holocaust was a slight disagreement...and as for my spelling see if you can get the meaning of this smart arse... gofucyasef spelt wrong i admit but it does get the point across...

  • @BOYZEEE1 Ah, yes ... the old go fuck yourself reply.

You simple simon son of a bitch.

  • @BOYZEEE1 yes i noticed you failed to reply to the points i make before i told you to gfys while ever you " we must bear our guilt forever" type morons try to argue double standards you dont deserve to be treated with even the slightest facet of courtesy....

  • @timebandit71 you can't spell.

  • @BOYZEEE1 better then not been able to think......

  • @timebandit71 your grammar is shocking.

  • I saw this film in Manchester in 1970, I was shocked and horrified by the portrayal of what happend to the Native Americans, although at that time I was unaware of their plight. History has been written for the ALLEGED victor.

  • Nobody can ever make up for what we do to eachother in the name of glory. And it`s still going on....

  • @MpElisabet Couldnt agree with you more ... as a career soldier ( un-marked for obvious reasons) I have seen mans savagery towards his fellow man.... and I got paid for being there... no sense at all...PEACE

  • You can edit the titles of the clips.

  • I was watching Tarantinos grindhouse movie and noticed in jungle Julia's apartment it had a poster of this film so i got curious ;) thanks for the upload

  • Sand Creek Massacre.

There is nothing America could do to make up for that horrific event.

American Indians never ever got a fair deal from the Europeans.

A shocking part of American history.

  • 'Members of the 2d Platoon killed at least 60-70 Vietnamese ment women, and children, as they swept through the northern half of My Lai (4) and through Binh Tay, a small subhamlet about 400 meters north of My Lai (4). They also committed several rapes. '

    from "The Peers Report"

  • G'bless you for these posts! (Trying to find the movie for years!) *Know* I don't WANT to watch it, but, as a 'Woman of Conscience,' I *must,* so... With Txgiving just around the corner-- "Y'shoulda let us *starve*!" (Ah-Ho!) silverbonn

  • Thank you !!!!! I have to watch this for a film class- I can't believe I had never heard of it before taking the class- having it on Youtube helped a lot :)

  • Hi There, If you liked the film and you are watching it for a film class , there is alos a book you can purchase on Amazon titled The Most Savage Film in History by P.B. Hurst which is a detailed account of the filming and actual history of Soldier Blue.

  • I love this film!

Guess I've seen it 50 times or so! :)

  • A very underrated film. Thanks for posting it.

  • This film is basically impossible to get here in eastern Europe, thank you for providing it here on youtube.
