  • Some prat on quackwatch accused Breggin of contravening the medical-ethical maxim, 'First, do no harm'! These are dark times indeed! It is a very apropos appellation though, because it is a watchdog run by and for quacks!

  • Dear Dr. Breeding. You have been so helpful to parents of children false accused and abused by Alberta Children's Services and their offenders in case management. ( Teams)Can you support studies and information for those groups who would like to prevent attacks on their child by the use of law-suites to stop child abuse. When they can't make money hurting children they'll stop. There are several organizations selling Autism Spectrum to the public as a disease and they are attacking children.

  • have an opinion just let it be an informed opinion, cchr(.)org

  • Don`t listen to this quack. Depression is a deadly disease by itself and scaring people off antidepressants is dangerous! I`ve stayed off antidepressants for years because I believed these kind of people, but finally I decided to give in and start prozac.

It works great and i wish i started it earlier. This guy should explain how damaging stress is to "all parts of the body" instead of how SSRI`s influences it.

  • @DaanVT86 Irving Kirsch did a meta-analysis of the clinical trials pertaining to the performance of pro-depressants, sorry, I mean anti-depressants, which showed they are only marginally superior to placebo, the gap not being great enough to rule out that this isn't attributable to the misapprehension of the drugs' effects. Anecdotal evidence isn't enough, studies are needed that look at outcomes in the aggregate.

Get it round ya, get it right round ya!

  • One more reference, once the father of the biochemical treatment School became quite old, fortunately, this fellow SAUL teamed up with Dr Hoffer, Co-authoring on books and got everything going very well... Dr. Hoffer died 2 years ago after being very healthy in life, (as was the case with Linus Pauling).

"Vitamins Instead of Drugs: Orthomolecular Alternatives to Pharmaceuticals" online article by Andrew. These Doctors are the Legit Chemo-psychiatrists; long since SUPRESSED (partially).

  • Just got out of a clinic for a loved one's eating disorder. All doctors, therapists, and naturally psychiatrists there strongly believed in neuroleptics and I was the hick for saying no to neuroleptics. It's good to be out.

  • Regarding mental breakdown: Just witnessed an eating disorder patient in therapy. Many similarities to mental illness. The most striking was slow speech and response to questions. Eating disorder Dr says response and speech speeds up as brain slowly gets nutrition during therapy. So I couldn't help but wonder if so called "schizophrenics and bipolars" are sometimes nutrient starved.

  • @Nu13th Absolutely! Vitamin C and DHA and/or EPA USUALLY for starters! Systemic inflammation is a big topic also. Google up - David Horrobin, Why Do We Not Make More Medical Use of Nutritional Knowledge? "Individuals who are nutritionally deprived will have reduced resistance to a range of diseases, and will also have impaired responses to whatever treatments are being offered." See SAFE HARBOR alternativementalhealth. Inflammation, see - The Perricone Weight Loss Program Nov 2005

  • @LAEXCITOSAAPARECIDA Thanks for your reply. I'll start looking at the links provided.

  • excellent review, thanks

  • I love this guy!

  • Thank GOD you guys got rid of the obnoxious owl lol

Love John, great talks. Much appreciated

  • Even i don't like medications. I wish to know about anti-biotic substitutes.

  • thank you someone who believes me a mom

  • Medication helped pull me out of a massive mental breakdown. It helped me feel better imediately and then i started reducing when i felt ready and am now fine. They are not brain disabling. You sound a like a fucking hick. I brought your book the neccessity of madness. it was juvinille and not a good read.

  • @closetome I think I found your real problem, it's that you are willing to call people "fucking hicks". I think that weeding out the motivating factors involved in this action will ultimately make you feel a lot better. I'm being serious. What is a "massive mental breakdown" anyway, what does it actually entail in details? Being unhappy? That seems too vague. Being anxious? This seems to suffer the same problem. People are depressed/anxious because that have lives conducive to those experiences.

  • @BandofSorensons NO a massive mental breakdown does not involvejust being unhappy or anxious. You obviously have never experienced one. Fuck off!

  • @BandofSorensons But what is a "massive mental breakdown" then? What is it? What actually happened?

  • @BandofSorensons I know, you can't literally have a mental or nervous mental breakdown

  • I totally agree with Dr. Breeding. Neuroleptic biological psychology should definitely be questioned in this day and age.

  • Great review Dr. Breeding. IT is great that we have Doctors such as yourself and Dr. Breggin who are willing to share their concerns associated with contemporary Psychiatry.

  • Down with Big Pharma. We may not beat it but we can save some lives.

  • "Educational" so why not "entertainmental" as well.

Oral perhapsal weal shouldal putal "al" atal theal endal ofal everyal wordal. Looksal oddal thoughal.

George Bush is gone so please drop his idiotic grammar, or go the whole way and add "ational" to every adjective as well. And misuse reflexive pronouns two(sic).

I feel a flame coming on.

  • John Breeding is a quack and a scientologist. His expertise on mental illness is as asinine as scientology itself.

  • exactly, If I had of went to a psychiatrist 2 months ago I would have been diagnosed "Schitzophrenic" and might have been on drugs for the rest of my life, instead im feeling better than ever and am seeing two of the most amazing therapists, SAY NO TO DRUGS!

  • If this doesn't make the dangers of psychiatric drugs blatantly clear I don't know what does. Sickeningly sad that the supposed "cure" is at the heart of problem.

  • PBS had a show where they looked at money and drug companies. The lady said that about 90% of funds and money from drugs go to advertising! My ex wanted to have control over my daughter dragged her to a psychologist (in secret) and had her placed on meds. When I was told and talked to the shring. He had NO idea who I was and the hour was spent talking about HIS neices (who were my daughters friend). She was never alone with the jerk! She told the nurse her mother gave her a bloody ear.

  • One of my friends became depressed when she found her husband had a mistress. She sought help for depression. She was put on drugs. Then stronger drugs. Then mix of drugs for the mood swings. Then stronger drugs for out of control mood swings. Then restraining drugs for her socially unacceptable behavior of morbid fears and always taking off every piece of clothing. She later died. Unrecognizable to those who knew her before. I feel something very wrong might have occurred in her treatment.

  • now i'm looking at loss of vital organs from the added damage these drugs have done to my life, kidneys are going...a great end to the pharm ride!

  • i've been to hell and back on these meds, turns out i was misdiagnosed. I was an abuse survivor then doped up on all sorts of psychotics and crazymeds making the problem worse and worse. Never given basic anxiety meds for a small problem, it turned into a huge mess. Abuse survivor, struggling with my own sexuality then thrown on every med in the book. I'm done with the bull

  • amen

  • I got akathisia from one dose of compazine. It has not gone away for 6 weeks now. It is a living hell.

  • I was just wondering? Do some of these ssri drugs have stimulants in them? I have heard that some do and that is sometimes why the person taking them gets a lift in mood and not teh neurotransmitters the pills contain.

  • Ordered Medication Mandess, can't wait to read. More harm than good, so sad. With the love and support of caring people maybe drugs can be eliminated. This brought tears to my eyes. Manipulated by a substance supposedly injested to help. Such victimination, Big Pharma at its best! They hope to keep us all impaired and dependent, what better way to pad their pockets! Definetely not designed to help, only to profit at such a sad expense. How do they go to bed at night knowing this?

  • I found that those who advocate neuroleptic drugs also use these drugs themselves. So in seeking advice, I couldn't find any insincerity in those who wanted to help with SSRI's. They truly believe. So they most likely don't lose sleep over this. I'm not certain they are wrong but I am certain that they tend not to test for medical problems. They tend not to look for nutritional problems. They tend to presume a chronic brain dysfunction and then immediately Rx the neuroleptic drugs. Yuk!

  • I am so tired of all this about Dr. Breeding linked to Scientology...who cares...he speaks the truth...objectively...biopsychiatric drugs do not work. Period. Look at the science. Come on people!! They do not work.

  • I agree. There seems to be a deflection campaign away from the real point...as you just said.

  • I know, I "love" how people elevate doctors to the status of Gods. There is virtually no mitigation in society for people who are REALLY trying to get better. The people who seek help usually run into people who are smiling depressives themselves and are on all sorts of drugs themselves. Unfortunately, the smiling depressives out there, the ones who hide from all their problems, must deal with their own illnesses some day. God has almost a cruel way of exposing who is TRULY sick.

  • The Scientology link argument is an obvious and weak attack against the man rather than an attack against what Dr. Breeding is saying. Dr. Breeding is not a Scientologist according to his attackers. He is merely involved in a common interest. But like you said. Who cares? An attack against the man is as old as Latin itself. ad hominem

  • If you know anything about Scientology, you'll know that they are a thoroughly corrupt and inhumane organisation, directly and indirectly responsible for abuses and deaths of their own members, destroying families, and major fraud. John Breeding has published articles, promotes them, and accepted an advisory roles with them. Whether he wants to consciously accept responsibility or not, he supports their actions.

Don't be so ready to support people just because they say something plausible.

  • Valelacerte: Your closing statement, "Don't be so ready..." is good advise. Thank you. Scientology is unacceptable especially the Xenu story. Additionally, John Breeding's hair is shocking at first.

However, Breeding's argument is plausible. It's the argument that matters and not the messengers. But thanks for your concern. My son suffers mentally and I don't know where to turn. We tried psychiatry and it failed.

  • I apologise for my response, Nu13th, perhaps I was venting my own disappointment with John Breeding. I agree with much of what he says, but I think he's chosen some very bad bed fellows, who, while also abhorring Psychiatry, do so under the guidance of his insaneness LRH.

I am very sorry to hear about your son. Please bear in mind that there are many forms of therapy that don't involve drugs, and their effectiveness is dependent on the skill of the therapist; you have to try a few. Good luck.

  • Thanks Valelacerte but I was not offended. I could tell you're someone who cares about others. My son is no longer in my care. I feel I let him down by not pursuing more medical lab tests. He had elevated bilirubin levels on three consecutive tests. There's a condition called Gilbert's Syndrome which is thought by some to cause brain fog due to liver dysfunction. I'd guess it's like the victim is intoxicated on whatever. I now think lots of lab testing should be done.

  • You`r videos makes lots of sense. I have a couple of Szasz`s books and plan to write my own about these nefarious group of people called psychiatrists.

  • Your talking about maybe 1 person in 3000!

  • Wooo I love John!

  • I recommend the two following books by a psychiatrist Dr. Thomas Szasz:

    "Ceremonial Chemistry" and

    "The Manufacture of Madness"

Another psychiatrist, Dr. Richard Kunin treats people with megavitamin therapy. When it comes to nutrition, Dr. Kunin's research is amazing. I was healed with a regimen of good food, vitamins and exercise. Dr. Kunin used to say that the FDA does not approve of his unorthodox methods and that they caused him some trouble in the past.

  • Yo Dawg you wack, yo

half the shiot i kant undastandh.

    WestSide ---

  • Probably because you can't even spell "shit" right.

  • wuteva. wut r u like a gay lord?

  • What the heck is a gay lord? Obviously you're just making things up now. Go have another martini and take your drunk ass elsewhere.

  • speak to the hand sissy boy cuz i aint listenin.

  • "Speak to the hand?" Yeah. You are drunk.

Anyway, this video is interesting enough. Not sure if I'd actually read the book, but its intriguing enough.

  • John Breeding is a loving man. And one day soon his work will be widely recognized for the truth it is. Keep the videos coming, John. God is with you and the source of your inspiration and work. I believe in you. Peace.

  • Please be extremely careful...That John Breeding is a member of the CCHR, a part of the sect of SCIENTOLOGY.

This is not an inoffensive cult, scientology kills, please inform yourself before being a prey of this organization.

    My advice:...RUN!!!

  • Heil Cult-Groups, my brother is a Mormon which confronts the Roman-Catholic part of the family, I'll stay in Alaska with that mess. There are cults all over the place which have the ability to do, large amount of that damage. This nation called America is generating its own worst nightmare, with plenty of people looking after their short-term interests.

  • It's alarming to hear from this that our health care system isn't dealing with the problem of mental health correctly. Therapy really is a great way to deal with these types of problems. Take a note of that all you parents who are looking for an answer to your childs problems. Don't think quick fix, your child's not a car.

  • yeah the sect is the pharmalogical conglomerate that we give our unfortunate trust in.. not me anymore..

  • This dr supports scientology: the dangerous cult.

Inform yourself please before being a prey. Too many victims of sects .

  • Where did you hear that?

  • thanks for sharing love Dr. Breeding's spots. No one needs medication to deal with depression, you can deal with it without all the chemicals that is fact.

  • 'And it seems to me perfectly in the cards that there will be within the next generation or so a pharmacological method of making people love their servitude, and producing a kind of painless concentration camp for entire societies, so that people will in fact have their liberties taken away from them but will rather enjoy it, because they will be distracted from any desire to rebel by propaganda, brainwashing, or brainwashing enhanced by pharmacological methods.'

    Aldous Huxley, 1959

  • In the UK 20 years ago 1 in 30 children entering school had a medical problem that required medication.

Today 3 out of every 5 entering school now has a problem.

    How and why?

Acute episodes of psychological illness now have their symptoms treated with drugs.

This turns an acute episode into a chronic debilitating condition because the cause is not treated.

This makes the pharmaceutical companies lots of money and hence the governments from their taxes.

Sickness, real or imposed, is profitable.

  • this dr supports scientology. Beware of this sect.

  • @Rotulette would you stop going on about Scientology and this cult crap Dr breeding is just giving us knowledge on the dangers of mental health drugs, this has nothing to do with Scientology, just the truth.

  • And this continues everyday because it is easier to blame someone else for our troubles and take a pill then to do the legitimate work of therapy and deal with the problem without changing our brain chemistry. And this is endored by the companies making Billions from it.

  • Would being "spellbound" be something like the effects of LSD?

I always thought medication to treat depression was like putting a picture in front of a hole in the wall. It doesn't get rid of the problem, just makes it appear to be gone. It's no way to fix the deep emotional problems CAUSING the depression. This whole "chemical imbalance" thing reeks of bullshit to me. If you're depressed of course your brain chemistry is going to reflect that.

  • I try to never take ANY medication, not even Tylenol.

  • same!

  • RawBurrito, thats called withdrawl getting back on the drug was like getting a fix.

  • "I was told of this entire scheme by a German chemist who was an official of the great IG Farben industries and was also prominent in the Nazi movement at the time. I say this with all the earnestness and sincerity of a scientist who has spent nearly 20 years research into the chemistry, biochemistry, physiology and pathology of fluorine--any person who drinks artificially fluorinated water for a period of one year or more will never again be the same person mentally or physically."

  • "When the Nazis under Hitler decided to go into Poland, both the German General Staff and the Russian General Staff exchanged scientific and military ideas, plans, and personnel, and the scheme of mass control through water medication was seized upon by the Russian Communists because it fitted ideally into their plan to communize the world. ... "

  • theorganichispanic;

the main ingrediant in fluox is carbon and hydrogen...and to be exact, the main properties of fluox comes from its structure, the functional groups (CF3 Trifluromethane) add to it they don't create it

  • First of all, fluorine is elemental. Not fluoride. I don't care to argue the chemistry with you though, because I am not a chemist, and neither are you if you don't know the difference. What I do have is historical documentation and quotes from nazis that they were using massive doses of FLUORIDE in WATER to drug people......

  • ok if you're going to argue semantics...i a partial chemist, not qualified but i know what i say when i say there is ionic fluoride (like that put in the water) and there is covalent fluoride (like that which makes up organic compounds). There is also elemental fluoride, but thats neither natural nor useful

while they are the same nucleus they are in very different situations. Yeah I'm sure fluoride salts are psychoactive, but that psycho activity need not be reflected in the covalent forms

  • I've been tapering myself off zyprexa for about 6 months now. Was taking half a 10mg tablet most of that time (which I understand is equivilent to 3mg (60% of 5mg)

I am sleeping, although have a very cracked out feeling...go through periods of lethargy and hyperactivity...lots of teeth grinding. Not sure what to do at the moment, any suggestions to alleviate withdrawal would be great :)

  • withdrawal symptoms plus what ever feelings/problems the drug was suppressing came back to the surface twice as bad

  • Logically you should avoid taking drugs.

Logically, if they gave them in return of money (be it state money or whatever), well its a product, medically worse in fact than speed or marijuana.

But hey if you choose to not fix up your life, face your fears and clean your shit up and instead rely on a magic pill.

Well maybe you deserve the hell you're burning in right now, no ?

Yeah I pity you, I can hand you a loonie while passing by but but you're still the one burning anyway.

  • Everyone is a master of himself, if he wants to become a blood crazed hungry demon (or drug addict), then so be it.

    karma.

  • This happened to me spellbound on paxil did stuff I would never do had serious bad decision making I couldnt care less about anything. Thank God I realized it and slowly detoxed myself off this crap Dont take Paxil ever!!!!

  • Yeah this guy's cool he talk alot of sense much better ways to treat depression yoga meditation plant and herbal remedies

  • FANTASTIC. I love this guy. Thanks for the wisdom.

  • Now THAT is a badass beerd

  • another good video from john breeding. he's got some good things to say about the pratfalls and obvious dangers of psych meds as well as the withdrawl that occurs once one abates their use of said drugs. obviously he's done his research. real mellow dude, always has a few words of wisdom.

  • I just found the book on amazon for less than $6, so I will read it. I agree with this guy. I have seen so many people messed up worst on medication.

  • you said depression and anxiety can be dealt with in more effective ways... could you elaborate?

  • I'm not sure what Breeding's alternatives to meds are, but you might want to google or read the book man's search for meaning. The book is about how people were able to cope in concentration camps during ww2. It's a bit intense, but if you look at the circumstances people went through in those camps they didn't have access to antidepressants or anything like that.

  • Actually, the nazis were experimenting on victims with extremely high doses of fluoride. Fluoride is the main ingredient of Prozac, chemically named Fluoxetine. It is my belief that the original sedative effects of SSRIs were discovered here.

  • ohh... really? thanks.

  • Most or all of the people that were being experimented on in the concentration camps died. However, I'm not talking about that. I'm talking about Viktor Frankl and his encounter with those who did not have medicine available to them.

  • that is elemental/ionic flouride (what the nazis use, whats in the water) versus covalent fluoride (whats in prozac...but NOT other SSRI's). It's almost like saying that my protein bar has all the components of cyanide therefore the companies are trying to kill the strong

  • This guy is awesome but where the hell Natalie go ?! I miss her videos, anyone know ... ?

  • If you go to Natalie's website you can get an initial assessment for $150.00. She will be happy to spend an hour on the phone and talk to you about nutrition or if you prefer you can get the "Almond Package" for $500.00 which is an hour conversation with a weekly half hour conversation on nutrition. I think the best deal would be to get the book "The China Study" from the library. Kind regards.

  • Oh I forgot her website is nutrition by natalie

  • I know, Natalie and Dr. Breeding are my favorite!

  • Its our trusty friend the guy with the beard once again talking about medication. I don't mind though, I like his energy

  • Thank you very much for this

  • Thanks for doing these videos.

  • Thanks for the info and I certainly agree, but please eat more. You are extremely thin and it is not healthy looking. Go have a big big meal and don't worry so much. Someone needs to take care of the Doctor. Best regards take care of yourself

  • I was first placed on Prozac when I was beginning college. At that time, I probably would have benefitted more from a class in how to stand up to bullies. It's frightening how many adults and children are being medicated these days. I am in the process of trying to find a psychiatrist who will help me to wean from my current meds and transition to a product called EMPower Plus and Amino Solution.

    Interesting vid :)

  • Good plan. I'm trying to take that route 2. I know something is physiologically astray in my body- whether it's nutritional, a deficiency, etc, i'm not sure. But i'm tired of getting scripts for medication. A doctor recently tried to persuade me to take Abilify. I was like HELLL no! Kudos for being intelligent.

  • This great stuff. But I've really been battling some diabling depression. I could use some help that says what does work and not what not to do. Gawd, I'm sick of being this kind of useless.

  • sunshine, good nutrition,B vitamins, and plenty of exercise. exercise and sunshine works better than any and all antidepressants. and getting supplement like liquid vitamins and essential fatty acids (for brain function) always helps when you are on a typical modern diet.

  • I'm taking Ultimate green zone, a variety of Bs and a suppliment called nutricalm along w/ Maca.a multi, fish oil, and clay once a month for cleansing and I cant seem to kick the anxiety to a point where I can step out of the house.... I think it is related to taking ambien, because my symptoms started a year ago after I quit. That just seems like an awfully long time ago. IDK need cognitive behavioral therepy I guess.

  • OMG!!! It was Ambien. Afer I took it I went into deep depression, anxiety attacks.... I just read up on the side effects. No clue it effected folks that way. I took a 30 day supply over about 6 months. Certainly low dosage. But the only thing different was that, and I HAD NO CLUE!!!!

  • "Meds" aren't the problem

    "Technology" isn't the problem

The problem is using the wrong technology for the wrong purposes

The problem is Bad Docs using Bad Meds - But not all meds are bad

  • yes, this is very true what u say ^^, good to hear there are still intelligent people out there x.x

  • I agree. I think that some doctors get caught up in the business aspect of it all and completely ignore their own logic. Some people seriously need to be medicated, but not EVERYONE. It is profitable to medicate everyone though; I know this because my dad is in the psych industry. All you have to do is go to school to get a license as a psychiatric nurse practitioner and then hook a good amount of young clients and you are set. If you are a doctor you get paid for "supervising" the nurse.

  • That reminds me of highschool. Twice they insisted I get counseling and treated me like some sort of wounded bird just because I was shy and quiet.

  • Comment removed

  • Treu enough.

  • Thank You for your insight fortunately i experienced severe distonic reactions from the meds the phyce gave me so i decided not to use them.if not though im sure i would of quit after learning what i have please keep up the great work im sure youll help a number of people.

  • great vid again

  • Good call on the disclaimer yo.

The Big Brother network is livid about people speaking the truth. So now we must say:

"for entertainment or research purposes only"

    (Bloody fascists!)

  • "So how are your Ninja studies coming?" (We met briefly about a year ago at YT. I had squarerootofpi as my channel then. Anyway, The Psychiatric Proffession is the ultimate tool of Big Brother. Thinking "Outside the Box" is a mental illness. Don't trust your government? Paranoia. "I wonder what it must be like for schitzophreniacs living in London with all those fucking cameras?" "Do you feel like you are being watched?" Fuck. Who isn't...

  • I was forced to take anti-psychotics for a couple of years and they completely fucked up my life. It took seven years to get over the effects after I could get out of the legal aspects that forced me to take these meds. Clopixal, Loxapine, Haldol...The Psychiatric Pseudo-science must be stopped!

  • i had a similar experience, i hate the illuminist drug companies

i got cured of "depression" and "bipolar" by quitting aspartame/MSG and eating healthy and exercising

i no longer have anything wrong with me

  • Good for you! I was diagnosed "Manic Only" but that no longer exsisted when the DSM-IV came out.(I was in and out of the system for ten years) Funny you mention aspartamine/MSG. They fuck with your pineal gland which produces DMT. The worlds most powerful halucinagenic. I am "cured" also. Basically my wife(second. first couldn't deal with me and manic) and my Personal Physician just let me think what I want. Cause thats all I really did. Think non conventionally. Not had a problem in twelve year

  • It means alot to know your still doing well.

I am going to visit my friend 'Gnarsky' tomorrow and she went through a similar hell.

I have been coaching her and she is doing much, much better as well. Nutrition is key.

To determine the culprit also key to healing.

I have been researching excitotoxins as of late.

    Check this out!

    joyfulaging(dot)com/Excitotoxins(dot)htm

There will be emotional upheavals in these strange times but if we keep a cool head we will find peaceful resolve.
