Hi pal, i´m trying to install the unit but there´s a problem with the power on. This just doesn´t turn on. In the manual says that the reset button can solve this, but it dind´t work. This is my first installation of this unit. I already have the pioneer avh-5900dvd, and it´s works fine. Can you tell me how did you install the unit?. Thanks

can you drive while the screen is out? i know you cant play videos unless your in park, unless you bypass it right? but you can still have the screen out when your driving right?

hey i got it from a mtx dealer in canada.. any mtx dealer you can get it all from.. its an awesome sound system pumps really loud..

hey is that the Pioneer AVH-P5000DVD head unit? I just bought one and its on its way, is it a good head unit?

hey yea it is.. its a great head unit.. best ive ever had. I recommend buying the ipod cable too makes it much better. I now have no need for cds, i always use my ipod and if by any chance i lose it, which i wont cuz its always in my glove compartment haha, i can just use a flash drive thru the usb that comes with it as well.. also if u wanna by pass the parking break function jus put an in line switch on the cord n ground it..

hey man, alright i just got this head unit and installed it and everything is working fine except that green parking break wire. If i take it and touch something that is ground the DVDs will play but if you take it off it stops. How exactly do i bypass this? I also bought a toggle switch, how would I go abouts bypassing this green wire? Thank You.

hey man, the unit needs to see current, no current, current for it to work.. and how the parking break works is once the circuit is competed (press the brake in and it grounds) the light will go on.... so what you do is you permanently ground the green wire and put a switch in line the unit can then see ground, no ground, ground.. that will work perfectly for u thats how i hav my set up.
