  • Hmm, I can hear actual bass from this, although it's slight. Most of the sound is just random other stuff from turning speakers up so loud

  • the human ear can only hear 20Hz clearly. so if u can bearly hear it at all then its natural XD

  • @MS57KB Sounds like a cat purring.

  • Not 19 Hz OMFG just a low hum that's not evean a tone! Omg how can you be so stupid to fall for this, bum asses?!

  • Not sure if placebo effect

    Or actually scared

  • Hurts my ears when listening to music and having this in background. (with headphones)

  • cracked

  • This sound is audible. If you can't hear the crickets you are either retarded or your speakers suck.

  • it works, had a friend in the room that didn't know it was on, he was half asleep and woke up pretty frightened after just a few taps on the desk. he kept having problems as he tried to get back to sleep.

  • don't worry, there is no screamer!

  • oh my christ, I can feel it in my eyes. O.O

  • full volume hurts like a bitch even though it sounds quiet.

  • If you pump ur speakers up a bit you can hear this

  • For those of you who don't know 19hz is known to us Sound artists as the "Sound of Fear", humans cannot hear the frequency but the sound waves cause your eyes to vibrate sometimes causing hallucinations, for example paranormal activity etc etc. The same frequency is also present in church organs, and has been for hundreds of years.

  • wtf is this ?

  • I hear it perfectly fine.

  • i hear crickets?

  • i hear my laptop

  • I thought my ears are kinda destroyed, rendering me unable to hear anything.

... But this. This I can here just fine.

  • @ww3pl humans can't hear sounds less then 20 hz

  • @1337treeckolol

    Then I guess either recording's a bullshit, or I'm not a human.

  • @ww3pl you're a furry <3

  • I hear it just fine. It's intermittent though.

  • Crap. Aliasing and compression, and pretty sure 19k isn't even included.

  • I had my volume cranked all the way up and my ear next to the speaker.

Suddenly, I realized that this would make a terribly good screamer video.

  • was i supposed to hear anything at all? cause i can't hear anything =p

  • @paulavmv Everything below 20hz will most likely not be heard, but recognized. Also, if you don't have a powerful subwoofer , or good headphones, you won't hear/feel shit. Just look up infrasound on wikipedia.

  • "Unhappy meal" brought me here.

  • okay... and what is the intention of this? why don´t you try a subliminal message at 1 to 2 Kiloherts? uh?

  • am i suppose to feel sick? it sounds like crickets but my guts feel weird lol

  • All i hear is a silence dum dum dum dum

  • What the fuck are you guys talkin about placebo?

I just seen this link on the McDonalds video of that guy beatin the shit out of two girls and I can hear this perfectly, it's just a repetitive beat, kinda bass sound off it, I didn't feel sick or anything like it.

    You're all getting placebo'd.

Also, you can hear it if you turn you speakers up unless you're retarded or deaf.

  • @Deanoshea23

this. the minute I heard something, i just paused the vid and called bullocks

  • @Deanoshea23

Science disagrees with you strongly. Use google and search for frequencies and brain states. Scratching a blackboard should give you a clue as to how frequencies impact your physiology.

  • @ZiggyStrange You're talking shit, this isn't an actual 19hz wave, that's what I'm trying to say.

  • @Deanoshea23 - That's not 19Hz, that's your subwoofers bouncing air around in your speakers.

  • @McClaneGames No, no it's not, because if I pause it the sound stops.

  • @Deanoshea23 - Yes, it is, because when you pause it your subwoofers are no longer vibrating.

  • @McClaneGames I'm not even gonna try, you're one of those type of people that are so convinced they're right, no matter what I say you'll come up with some fucked up excuse or reason why I'm wrong and you're right.

  • @Deanoshea23 well, hes making sense

  • Shouldn't it make no audible sound's if it's 19hz to the human ear?

  • Sounds like crickets?

  • Creepy indeed, I feel nauseous now

  • can't hear shit Captain

  • @ComradeKazuo Try turning up the sound. It sounds like crickets chirping.

  • Sony mdr xb 500's played back the 19hz very nicely... although all I heard was thumping

  • put this on a loop

  • Yep, I suppose it was reddit

  • Headphones and I couldn't hear a thing. reddit, i am disappoint.

  • @MysticKirby64

Normal humans aren´t suppost to be able to hear this frequency.

  • Most speakers wont begin to run at 19 hz correctly. Ones that do run around a couple thousand bucks.

  • so i actually felt calmer during this, but i noticed my vision went pretty clurry and now i kind of have a headache, im also in a room with only red light though.

  • To reddit: Use good headphones like my Sennheiser HD598. This shit works.

  • Laptop speakers are so lame :(

  • Where is my panic attack?

  • i saw a grey haired woman with no legs

  • Sounds more like Secadas!?!

  • Not really fear, but for some reason my heart starting trying to match how fast the noise was going, which I guess could be felt as fear

  • So that's what a narwhal sounds like.

Glad to see I'm not the only one wasting all night researching infrasound.

  • HPF THAT SHIT!

  • Reddit. Haha. Fuckers.

  • For some reason i doubt my headphones can register this frequency

  • Hmm, now what frequency will cause my eyes to stop bleeding?

  • Nothing really. Kinda scared at first but then my head got really heavy and i had to stop it.

  • What the fuck is Reddit and why are people saying they're from Reddit?

  • @iWatchinTubes It's a website. People are saying it because the website sent them.

  • brought here by reddit. this is scary as fuck.

    also, i have orthopterophobia

  • Most speakers and headphones don't go this low. However, using some studio speakers and headphones, I was able to feel my hair stand up while listening to it. Creepy as hell.

  • at first I thought the noise was just my stomach gurgling from hunger. Turns out it wasn't my stomach, but I went and made a sandwich anyways. As far as the sound, nothing. If anything this video is just a fearful reminder of my growing BMI. scary stuff!

  • I don't hear anything but i can feel my speakers moving when i touch the cone.

  • @ChunkAhoy I hear it, though children can hear higher sounds (I'm 13)

  • @TimbobJames your an idiot too. 19hz is Below human hearing. chances are most people here dont have professional audio to produce such a sound, and what you are hearing is a placebo noise so people dont just close the video. their focus is actually drawn to something.

  • Brought here by reddit, expecting to be scared. Instead, heard crickets.

  • i didnt hear anything

  • I am disappoint. Last time I believe something on Reddit...

  • @jwoy42 You need to be under very specific circumstances to experience such fear. It has to be a standing wave, for one. Simply opening up a youtube video of 19HZ and expecting to be creeped out isn't going to work.

  • Both my cat and I are sorely disappointed.

  • Guys just think about slender man.

  • this is freaking me the fuck out, shit. what's wrong with you people

  • Animals get all freaked out before a quake, volcano. So maybe they are hearing around 20 hz. It is programed in their brain to feel fear.

    Subconscious: "run nigga run...."

perhaps we lack the volume in this laptop speakers.

  • Best dubstep I've heard today

  • Where are the wobbles omg ???

  • You hear that clicking/vibrating heartbeat sound?

That's the sound of your speakers FAILING to reproduce 19hz. There should be no clicking/popping, or any oscillation at all, just a pure tone.

19hz is technically below the human range of hearing. That's not to say that you can't feel it, and it may indeed have a physical/psychological effect on you - but you would need large, expensive professional speakers to reproduce it accurately, and a big room to use them in (at least 60ft).

  • needs more autotune and a bass drop

  • 95% of all pro audio interfaces, and probably 99.9% of all computer equipment will *actively* filter out this frequency.

With that in mind, let's all get our placebo on!

  • @machinate If you enter 19 hz into audacity, it will play on 12 inch speakers.

  • Needs a dubstep remix

  • 19 hz is below human hearing.

  • @thirdeyeassassin Not with enough power. At high enough dB we can here down to 12 (just looked it up on wikipedia).

  • @thirdeyeassassin I could hear it

  • @gareler Me too, it's loud. Also crap...

  • @thirdeyeassassin no shit

  • I hear crickets.

  • The remixed version is better.

  • I just shit my pants.

  • That did not have the desired effect

  • also brought here by reddit. and dissapointed.

  • this is stupid. humans can only hear from 20Hz and up. This isn't 19 Hz. Bullshit. and not scary at all. placebo effect.

  • @bkhaja89 It's not about hearing it. It's all about the feeling.

  • @bkhaja89 - en.wikipedia[dot]org/wiki/Infrasound#Human_reactions_to_infrasound

  • Brought here by Reddit.

Not sure if placebo...or actually creepy

  • @MenCap7 me too:P

  • Brought here Guardian.co.uk

Not sure if placebo or actually creepy...

  • Dammmnnnnnn

  • Sounds like someone running or a sputtering solinoid switch.
