Funny how he mentions Frost v Nixon. As a 17 year old Brit, I only know Frost as the host of celebrity day time show "through the keyhole". Couldnt beleive it when I heard about the critical political waves he had caused!
Does anyone read the comments before they add their own comment? We know he has hair plugs, you don't need to make the comment along with 50 others. Save the shallow, pointless comments for your texting.
If you seriously care about how hair implants look like you wouldn't bother moan about how visually distractive it is. What you care about is your personal preference. It doesn't make you no-one -and obviously- you are someone. It's simply absolutely irrelevant to the topic.
Here in Canada we have a great show called "The Hour" and it's host George Stroumboulopoulos (yes that is his real last name) is an incredibly empathetic and gentle interviewer. He sees the good in everyone! He does have clips of some interviews on YouTube too!
The main point I got out of it was this: You can get through to someone's "private self" by figuring out what it is that no one has asked them but that they wish they could tell people about. Other things: Not everyone will come through for you in this kind of interview, epecially modest people who believe everything in their lives happened by chance; and an interview of this type is more successful when the subject is old enough to know how things are going to turn out in their lives.
this was interesting and worth watching. ted is obviously getting more popular cause the comments are starting to get just as stupid as the rest of the idiot comments on youtube
The art of interview is the art of listening, not talking. He is likely to be an amazing interviewer, I just wish he gave more information about the actual thing he did so the world could share in the amazing things he learned from these people. Oh well, I guess that's an internet age conundrum...
It takes a courageous person to be honest in public. To put a name to the foibles and fears and mistakes and embrace all of it as part of a life lived is the mark of a person who understands the value of a legacy.
heres what u do old dude , you go on utube and jibber jabber on vids and walla genius old ppl and noone watches it because the world is gone mad with idiocy, isnt this wonderful
Should The Government : A. provide education B. provide Health care C. provide community development programs, Information and / or services D. All of the above, & set straight any disinformation. Or E. None of the above. Close schools, slash healthcare & community programs, & support a disinformation policy. Next Question Do You : A. Trust the government & do nothing B. Distrust the government & do nothing C. Force choice D. on the government
Excuse me, but since when is it concidered witty to retort ignorance with more ignorance? I'm a teenager and I don't find this boring. I'm sure there are many teenagers much smarter and better focused than you.
Oh wow your only 19 and you like college level lectures on entertainment. Awesome! your so smart and unique and full of potential! My faith in humanity is restored. Kiddo
tomamil: that doesn't work. If what you were trying to say was that all teenagers are stupid, but not just teenagers, then this would make sense. But the fact is that some teenagers are bored by this video, but not all teenagers and not because they're teenagers. To be quite honest this kind of unsupported offensive crap, just proves that you arn't a real intellectual. I don't care how old you are.
I'm a high school senior who's applying to college and I have to go through some interviews. They're not the same his life series. But, it's an interesting perspective and backdrop.
I don't think its disgusting. Private industry should be free to make sell their product to maximize profits. If it were sponsered by the government I would say otherwise, but really this just seems to me, the normal way things will be.
I think I may have to go for an interview for a couple of Universities I've applied for, but my choice in subject rarely asks for interviews (Molecular Biology).

If you have nothing to be proud of you can't really talk about it... Simple as that.
I'm sure you could be talking for hours and most of your listeners couldn't really care of what you are saying.
And it takes unbelievable skill to share experiences that one is cherishing.
:p
