Heroes of the pacific for ps2 was better. And I bought blazing angels thinking it was better than this but I found it as boring as the ps2 game secret weapons over normandy.

The dogfights of WWII were so much more fun and intense, tight turns, close range minigun fire piercing your wings. Although modern planes are beautiful, they make for boring games in comparsion to this.

i am soooo stuck on the mission where you sink the 2 ships then have to fly over and protect the ss arial or whatver it is. there are a bunch of gunshipd floating around and you have to torpedo them. you barely have enough time to sink even one of them. Either or. Be warned though, it'll take you ages to level up in Hawx. Both have low replay value and other similar issues, so it's down to your niche.
