Is dowry (vara katnam) system still in vogue in Telangana? I thought Telanganites were complaining about their backwardness for nothing (or to get more resources). Now I know why they are backward. The Telangana bandh called by TRS, NTP, BJP, did not evoke any response in Telangana, except in Karimnagar. Particularly in Hyd, there was absolutely NO response to the bandh - the RTC buses were running normal and schools were opened fine. The life was COMPLETELY normal. In all other parts of Telangana, there was no impact on normal life AT ALL.
MOST TELANGANA PUBLIC WERE NOT EVEN AWARE THAT A BUNDH WAS ATTEMPTED.
This is a clear indication that people lost intrest in the seperation of state.
We have to put the medicine on the wound and not somewhere else to cure the wound.
