  • AWESOME APP MAN!! WOOT WOOT

  • THIS IS SO CONFUSING WERES THE B

  • @DemiGodXuhh this is cool and everything but im trying to learn japanese not see what i know can they tell you it if u dont know it.

  • hey this is an awesome application, i thought that i should put extra questions in it and i succeed but i want to ask you how can i make new stages? please tell me and how to rename a stage dude please help me!!

  • @MrGeorgy95

Thanks! Well what you can do is modify the scripts inside the game folder. For instance, you can open the Stage1.lua file in notepad or any text editor, and change the Questions and Answers to something else. It's not really adding new stages rather just changing them.

I know I've been procrastinating a lot lately in making a new version but I'm still very committed to the project. I hate using excuses, I've just been lazy that's all. Time to get back

  • Jeeze, I'm so sorry, this is a noob question, but where do I paste the "128163_learnjapanese06" folder?

  • @0Tokyo0Rainy0Dayze0 Hi 0Tokyo0Rainy0Dayze0, daijoubu desu. We all were noobs once. Well inside the 128163_learnjapanese06 folder there should be a learnjpv06 folder, copy that folder into the PSP/GAME Folder inside your memory stick. Although the game only works on custom firmware PSPs.

I'm about to release a new version 0.7 soon, maybe even tonight if I can pull an all nighter. This new version will give users the ability to input Japanese text! For those who don't want to use romaji.

  • @DemiGodX

    Man, that's awesome, sorry the problem was that I was using a brand new memory card and I made a typo ^^;

Anyways, great program! looking forward to japanese input!

  • really amazin dude.. :) but it would be great if u had added some option on how to pronounce those words . .. :)that would be fantastic well any way thanks.. :)

  • @TheGoopygo

Hi there, gomen nasai for the delay, that's a great idea. Recently I just released v0.6 and I added an option menu, maybe in the next few releases I'll include a sound test that'll feature all the sounds. I also plan on adding Japanese text support in the option menu so instead of romaji users can input Hiragana or Katakana instead. There's a new video I uploaded of me playing through v0.6. Skip to around thr 6 min mark there's a Akuma easteregg haha. Thanks for checking it out, ja

  • Nice app. Lots of downloads. Im just curious but do you know how to speak Japanese?

  • @ratface071394

Hey what's up, sorry I must have missed your message. I can speak Japanese a little, but part of the reason why I made this app was to become more proficient at it. And so far I've gain a lot more knowledge from this game then the years I've spent trying to learn using other methods. I also work for a Japanese company and I'm thinking about making a different rendition of the game to help Japanese people learn English. That is if my buddy from Japan is willing to partner up

  • Charlie's Angels Turning Japanese

     very funny

  • cool dude!!!1

  • @deathshooter123 sankyuu! kakkoii desu ne? Well I've been busy working on my next release, it probably won't be ready for a couple more days. I hope to add 3 more stages, so 6 in total

  • where, should i place it on my psp 3k? in the iso folder?

  • @acouztixz Hi there, well assuming you have a Custom Firmware PSP, it should go in the PSP -> Game Folder. Although I only have a PSP Fat (1000) so I haven't tried it on a slim or any others but I think it should work because the platform I used to develop it for was designed for the slim. Hey if you can let me know if it works for you..

I'll be releasing a new version soon either today or ashita. This version will have a menu, 2 more stages and extra animation. Be on the lookout, peace

  • @DemiGodX i'd played the learn japanese game yesterday, is this version same as that game? hehe bcuz it have only fewer words on that version hehe.. is that game have translation of sentence? hehe

  • @acouztixz Hey what's up, yes the new version v0.3 is the same, except I added more questions, 42 to be exact. And I also added a Menu. A victory animation when you clear the stage, and I also added a few sentences. I hope to add more conversational phrases in the future. Thanks for checking it out. One week at a time, that's my goal

  • Looks great !

  • Errm, just throwing this out there but for 'Paper' the word you put is 'kami'. Isn't kami a term for deity in the Shinto faith?

  • @USJbroly You're right, it could mean god or spirits but it can also mean paper too. I should probably remove that in my next release to avoid confusion. I plan to categorize the lessons into stages that you gotta work your way up instead of just throwing out random words. I was really just trying to get the core of my game running first then polish it later

  • Hey!

I love your game and I have a little question:

could you please make a "help" function or something else?

like, press R+L and you got the answer.

I forgot the most words and I cant go on. ^^'

sorry for my bad english =)

  • @HarimaKenjiXD Hey thanks for checking it out. Yeah it was kind of irresponsible of me not to include more detailed instructions of how to play haha, I plan to add a help mode that explain the basics such as the pronunciations of the Vowels A I E O U and more.

But as for revealing the answer, you can press R+O (circle) to display the answer. I should probably make it display longer. Maybe I should have a mode set to just have the answers display permanently. I just might do that

  • Good work man.

  • hey dude its chi kitory from Evilmana. Sweet Game my friend. Alot of work was put in i must say. Very impressive. :)

  • @JohnPortfolio2010 Hey I gotta give props to Evilmana, that's the site that help me out the most with their in-depth tutorials. Yeah man I put my heart into it which is why I didn't quit. If u have something that u feel could be meaningful or useful then that's what keeps the motivation alive.
