Website states not cleared for facial hair removal. She clearly uses it on upper lip. I'm a male & have quite a bit of experience with laser/IPL hair removal and what I can say is this item or the silk'n will work & eventually remove hair totally. It comes down to frequency of how often you target the area. I have test areas that have 90% permenant removal on my body from a woman who had a laser machine. I went once a week for 6 months for a small patch on stomach. It worked but frequency is key

This product is new and has only just been made commercially available, so you will find you have to rely on trial data, which is fairly normal. That information suggests that it may work effectively for some people with the right skin and hair colour. I have nothing to do with this industry at all, and have never used the product but managed to find this out with a little basic research!
