How do the simulation programmers get such an accurate image of the playfield? Do they begin with photos of a real machine and then Photoshop it to hide imperfections?
Looks fantastic, I am looking to build a VP9 cabinet, and I'm struggling to find out the hardware I need, would you please post your system on here, or PM me a guide? I need to know what I need in terms of PC, videocard, I guess power supply to fuel the led's, solenoids, etc...
I haven't even started watching this yet but all I can say is as soon as a faithful 3D engine (no glasses) is created for this then we can have a whole new gen of pinball designers back in action for an awesome pinball revival :D
Wow NICE! Anyone know where I can get a full hyperpin setup for my machine? I mean like all the roms/tables ready to go with emulator? You can pm me, thanks.
I know you guys use some sort of rubber seal to avoid shock on the playfield when tilting, or when the bass/shaker is going crazy, but how does it stand up? It would be a shame to get the greenies or purplees on a setup ;-;
Anyone who thinks that this machine wasn't worth the time, money and effort really does have some mental issues. Everytime I see an awesome machine like this, the cogs in my brain turn a little more as to making my own. I could never get visual pin to setup properly - FP - no prob! But there is a flipper lag with FP. Is that two screens on your backboard?? All I have to say is AMAZING!!! Fine job!!
GORGEOUS! BEST OF ALL PARTS DON"T WEAR OUT! PINBALL EMULATION IS F'N AMAZING... I recall trying to explain Future and Visual pinball to several of my friends and they were more AMAZED than I was even on a 22" LCD pc monitor. To emulate physics like that w/ the ramps toys sounds etc.... WOW! AWESOME! :)
I'm trying to do mine but the truth eh configuration had many problems and where to get off tables, I need your help I would be grateful all my life is that I am a great fan of pinball machines, if you pity me this is my email to give me a course or tutorial. thank again
Now that is incredible... did you use a single monitor for the marquee? I thought playing these tables on my PC was cool, then I see THIS. /Headexplodes
@gorskijakub This is why I got an old wide body Williams that will have a 46" in it sitting below the tempered glass :) I will hit the glass whenever I want, likely often since I am so bad at pinball.
Excuse me, how can i delete "future pinball" glass playfield logo overlays on right side? I'm able to delete "IR" logo on the left, but not the other one.
@gentleuterus Very cool, but I wouldn't go so far as to say it's BETTER than a real machine. It does have it's pluses, but like they say... there ain't nothing like the real thing (baby). :P
This is far less maintenance, and has ~300 pinball games to play. I'd much prefer one of these. I played one of these things - it's really convincing.
Your table designs look very accurate. Most of the ones I can find are kinda lame. Either they play too slow or the scale isn't correct. Where do you get your table designs from?
a lot of cabinet builders have simulated that effect by putting in real pinball solonoids and knockers into their machines... also you nudge sensors can be integrated into the software very easily.
This is amazing. Holy crap I just saw this on ShogunGamer and had come over here just to say how god damn awesome this is. Seriously I hope they make these one day soon and you cash in on it. Bravo man.
I've got a Whirlwind machine and had to pass on a pretty solid Twilight Zone because I don't have the room for more tables :(
This is pretty interesting, but I don't enjoy playing games like Pinball FX or even the Williams collections very much on my 360 in HD on a 42" in 3D, and these graphics look good but remind me of the old 2D pinball games more than anything. I could be wrong but I have trouble imagining a decent pin sim in there.

I think this video is good for inspiration to make others want to build one.
I understand why you did the video on the side, however I reckon a vertical one would be better, even if everything looked smaller.
Thanks for posting it.

How can i "split" the screens on three monitors like in your video?
In visual pinball i can setup only resolution... :(
Usually backglass and table are joined...
Thanks in advance!

You can install solenoids to make it rumble like a real machine. Tilt sensors too. Much better than a real machine.

I don't know about everyone else, but I love to watch videos sideways. Good thing my neck can turn 90 degrees to the side without breaking.
That aside, expensive but nice setup there. I play PinMAME and Future Pinball on my desktop and it's awesome.
