not having the money for a software program is not an excuse to waste the time with underdeveloped software that will not be useful on a resume. better to get a student version of the good software.

Corel Painter X is a HOT app that lots of MAC users don't use.

Perhaps an introduction vid on Painter? It also works great with videos.
