FYI, set freq to 50Hz if your kick is tuned to a 'G'. if your looking to produce the best of the best quality of music, then tuning simple sounds like your hats, snares, kicks, subs etc. is pretty important and very NOTICABLE once you train your ear ;)
@brand0wnsyou Thanks for pointing this out! Yeah tuning drum sample is important if theres a noticeable pitched element in its sound, but if the pitch is not that prominent (like in many drum samples) I usually wont bother (and I'm not that good at detecting a pitch of a sample/tuning anyways hehe).
@brand0wnsyou I know about pitching kicks, but how do you pitch a snare or other percussion? With the tail sub on a kicks it's a lot easier to hear the note it's supposed to be, it would seem.
@TheBelmontAudio Some percussion (depending on what it is and how it sounds) might not carry much of a pitch, as it resembles somewhat of a 'noise-like' spectrum, with frequencies all over the place (hats, some cymbals, little shakers and what not)
But for other sounds, like snares and claps, a good trick is to transpose either up or down as much as you need to to hear the tone.
Play a sine wave for the note that you want to achieve, then transpose till you hear that note.
@TheBelmontAudio You might find the pitch after transposing too much (for example, +15 ), but thats okay because you would then just downpitch 12 (in this case, to +3).
@ezraalex77 In the bottom right corner of the EDISON , There's a "Freeze" "Noise T" "Regions" "Snap" and "Slide".... Make sur your "Freeze" is not selected... it'll do.
@Choniez23 Do you mean it's louder than the attack part of your kick? If it sounds bad, use the volume envelope to shape it (click 'Edit volume envelope' at the bottom of the Edison).
@WTFisMYname24 I know some methods :) Keep an eye on my main website as next in line is a tutorial where I show you one way to create a bass sound and bassline using 3xosc.
