  • love this (:

    SUBSCRIBED :)

  • I plan to go to the Mac store for a nail polish called Oyster shell. Well, I think it's called that. Can't remember. I'll have to look it up again lol.

  • LOL, I'm the EXACT same way when it comes to mac. I go in for one thing and walk out with the entire inventory of the store.

  • Do they sell Mac at ultra or sephora?

  • Oh ya ... MAC salesperson can be really snobby. Recently, i bought a lot of things from mac counter at macys ... and when i went home and tried them on, i didn't like a few things and wanted to exchange them for a different shade of paint pot and liquid foundation. The sales lady started making weird faces cuz i didn't like wat she suggested. Im like ... Hello .... what happens to the return policy?

fortunately the other sales lady was friendly! n i didn't make a big deal out it.

  • i hate it when mac sales people are snobby, i always think to myself 'why are you snobby? you work in a makeup store! you have nothing to be snobby about! your selling stuff to people who buy expensive stuff!' lol

  • I'm like you I spend my money and people take their job to be like they run the company but they are about to run it into the ground. You did the right thing.

  • but... you can buy the blush PANS (cheaper and you don't have to depot)

  • @makeupbyfio but you can back to mac with inpot

  • Hey :) is it true that if you depot the eye shadows and bring the case back to mac, you get a free lipstick? Thanks! Love your videos!

  • @Caoimhe306 If you bring in 6 cases, they should take them! If you are at a counter you can get a lipstick, and if you are at a free standing store you can get a Lipglass, Lipstick, or Eyeshadow! It's called Back to Mac!

  • wat is that flat eye shadow stuff like wat's in there ????

  • @peachpit211 If I've got what you're talking about correct, then what is in "there" are eyeshadows not in a pot, but just in the metal pan for putting in palettes.

  • @peachpit211 It's eyeshadow in pan form, already depotted and ready to put in a palette.

  • in regards to how sales associate misinformed you. i get frustrated too when one person gives some information and the other sales associate contradicts it...i mean especially when u pay 500 dollars hell yeah u should get the service. anyhow i just love shopping at sephora coz i never get great service at MAC

  • seriously it does matter when sales associate are not consistent in giving info. it frustrates

  • i have never had any trouble with my mac ladys ! I hear young girls saying they were snobby to them but im 14 & they are always so sweet & helpful to me !

  • Haha, lol, does anyone realize you don't have to depot your shadowsyou can just buy them in pans? not bein a hater!

  • Lemme Guess, u Spend Allmmooosssttt $300.00?? We Dont have MAC Were i live...i Dont think..LOL Were is MAC??

  • I love your hauls!

  • Yeah, the MAC SAs really need to get better customer service training. I know they're real MUAs and everything, but at the end of the day, they STILL HAVE TO SELL US STUFF! And if you're paying god knows how much for an eyeshadow, the least you can expect is some customer care from them.

  • When I go to MAC.. they are usually snobby. :/ hahaa. I would say about.. 60% of the time they are. :/

  • @EmmaBrooooke yeah same except they are always snobby

  • @EmmaBrooooke

yeah sometimes i SEE snobby mac salespeople but fortunately theres always atleast 1 really nice person :) I remember i went to a mac counter once and the guy that worked there kept giving me dirty looks. luckily the lady was really sweet and helped me out. its too bad salespeople are like that :/

  • Ive always found that some Mac salespeople are a bit snobby. Its unfortunate but its not everyone so i just avoid the people who I know are unfriendly.

  • @Bregmaiden ye they are snobby that discourages us from buying

  • The mac i always go to have such nice people im only 14 but they werent bitchy which is strange ( maybe cause i look 18 xD) i dont want to go to a mac with bitchy salespeople D:

  • Does anybody know if there r any specials and giveaways at the Mac counters during Xmas time???!

  • @kyashii9 I find the price differences ridiculous too, especially because of our current exchange rates! I live in Australia too, just to let you know.

  • i work for mac in england and we can actually get fired for giving out pigment samples :( theres a strict rule of liquid samples only x

  • it was probably just a new person or a stickler. I got a pigment sample yesterday.

  • I Hate the employee's at MAC Counters, They're always so snobby and rude, But luckily i have a regular MAC Store and the employee's are always so much nicer and helpful

  • the woman was lying i get pigments now i got some last week!

  • Of course you should have had some pigment samples! You know when I went to mac the women was really rude, she started laughing at me when I asked fo this foundation.. I hearsmd her say to the man 'this little girl wants makeup haha' I know I'm young but come on alot of girls wear makeup at 15 so I don't see why it was a big deal bit anyway she told me they didn't have my colour when I could see it right there so watts bitch, my mom called head office;)

  • @DaniiLovesMakeup omg! thats soo rude of her! i hope she got fired

  • @DaniiLovesMakeup ya MAC workers are really rude and mean I'm 13 and I went in the store and asked for a eye shadow and she just gave me this look like really? and she ignored me so i kept asking and she was like hold on and I'm like ummm.....ok? Like rude much?People at MAC counters are nicer that's why from now on I'm only going to counters.

  • does anyone know if the mac starflash collection eyeshadows will ever be repromoted?

i wasnt a mac fanatic at th time they came out and im sooo mad that i missed the collection

  • Definitely, if you spent that much money, you deserve more than one pigment sample. Would they rather have you buy the whole jar and end up returning it cause you didn't like it or give you a sample and let you try it out and come back for the full size. If they want more business, they should be nicer to their customers. And recently I asked for a sample and they said they can no longer give out makeup samples, only skin care samples due to company rules. Huuhhh..never heard of it.

  • the eyeshadow: ego from starflash is so awsome ! (:

  • wow 253 dollars!!! pretty good!

  • i agree! if you spend that much, you deserve a little sample.

  • I really like your videos! They look so professional :)

  • You were in the right, it's not like your just coming in there to get a few samples. You brought a load of stuff, and she couldn't give you a few samples? "Because pigments go a long way"...*speechless*...[: Anyways hope MAC starts hiring better employees...sort of like starbuck...yumm [:

  • Great haul :)

I live in Canada, and I usually order online and have been to 2 MAC stores- when I went I asked for samples and BOTH said no to me, it was so rude! there is another MAC store in the city and they give samples, so Im guessing its a store policy.

  • hi! this isgoing to soundstupid but i am going to MAC and I wanna buy only a few things cuz im like 14 and dont weaar a tonnn of makeuo. does anyone have suggestions for stuff I need to buy? I want to get one of the eyeshadow mineral quads. which is the best?? thanks!

  • definetly get the one with pink, black, white, and teal its gorgoursssssssss haha have fun :) remem to bring a map i always get lost in there and end up spending a few hours buying stuff....ADDICTIONS! but its awsome...UH and get the eye shadow in electric eel its goroues and the one in deep thruth they blend well together :)

  • thank you so much i bought everything u reccomended and i loves them :))

  • The Mac artist at my mac always want me to have samples, Like they say hey Megan whats going on have you heard about blah blah blah and ill no and so they just give me tons of samples . I have no clue why they would do that, maybe because pigments are messy they just dont want to deal with it? I dont know, hope you have better luck next time :)

  • it depends on your ma some like to some don't its wired.

  • i like mac nail polish, but i really prefer OPI nail polish, just saying, opi has cute names that really want me to buy them more too...

  • how do u afford all this stuff ?!

  • my channel name was mac junkie before i changed it into boy in makeup..heheh....i m a mac junkie too!!!

  • I found ONE mac, which is only about 2 miles away from my house which ALL the prople who work there are SOOO nice.

I love it, I wish they were all like that :-(

  • It's okay I have had horrible experiences with the sales girls at mac... they are such b*tches. One girl made me look like a clown and another handed me an orange foundation (I am ivory white btw) and I kept telling her to please leave me and that I know which foundation I want but she refused to sell me the ivory one and she kept saying orange was my skin color. I am human and last time I checked humans don't come in orange.

  • she refused to sell you a foundation? jeez i had heard of pushy, but that had crossed the line into b*tchy!

i think they are on a worldwide mission to tango innocent people so we all look as ridiculous as them...

  • I only have access to one MAC counter and it's located in The Bay. All the sales girls are fantastic. They're extremely friendly and helpful. One time while I was at a MAC counter, I ended up passing out from the heat in the building. (I had been in the mall too long and I really overheated) A girl took me in the back and sat me down, brought me mints and water and made sure I was alright before I left. They even walked me out to my car where my friend was waiting.

  • nope you SHOULD get the samples!!!!!! that amount of money should deserve something in return!!!!!!

  • unintentional hauls are exciting

  • mac is the best make up store ever from my opinon I reccomend going there

  • Hey,

I agree with you in terms of piggie samples. I live in the bay area and the SA i spoke to refused to give me samples and i generously spent a lot as well.

Well, when i went to another mac store out of state as i was on holiday, i told the SA girl my issue, she agreed that it was silly and didn't know why she wouldn't give me samples. So, anyway i got 5 generous amount of pigments and im happy.

I think, it really depends on who you get that day

  • Its 600 Miles From Where I Live And The Nearest Mac Store, And I Cant Order Online,

    Is Anyone Willing To Swap?

If Anyone Does, I'll Be Able To Get Any Uk Brand Cosmetic Item You Could Think Of! (:

  • LoL! I have those accidental halls all of the time! Hehe.

  • this is great!

  • no push this is a courtesy the company offer this is not her decision to make this is how things get out of hand someone making their own rules

  • Youre so lucky you live my a pro store >:O

  • awesome haul : ]

  • i know. a lot of people who go to the store early in the morning and ask for samples. then they put it on and say i don't have enough money so they don't buy it. so basicly, they are using it but not wasting money to actually buy it.

  • damn right. if u spent $500... they should be giving u watever sample you want. :p

but i know a few girls who go in and just get lots of samples and never buy anything so i see where theyre coming from. haha.

  • LOVE your collection! About MAC, well I used to work there and I can understand what the woman was saying about pigment samples. However, you are a loyal costumer to MAC being said that you spent about $500.00 and plus money. So ask the manager again and get your samples!

  • haha omg MAC prices in Australia are just LOL... you guys in the US can buy two MAC blushes for the price of one in Australia :) One MAC blush in Australia costs 40$.... :( it sucks. Anyway, nice haul! :D

  • If someone asks nicely for a sample of something specific, there is no reason why they shouldn't give you one, unless they are out of sample cups (which happens often), especially if you spend a lot of money there all the time. You will tend to receive better service if you find a good sales person you like and try to go back to them. The whole reason they have testers is so people can TRY before they buy....they should have been happy to give you samples if you are a buying customer.

  • I went to a MAC counter to get fix + rose and I asked for a sample and the lady said only the MAC stores do samples but she made an exception and she was like, I'll give you a tiny sample, but it was alot. I got circa plum igment. Pigments are too pigmented for me cuz duhh the are called pigments so they are supposed to be pigmented!!

  • your definitely not in the wrong. i've had MA not give me samples before after making big purchases. i guess it depends who you go to. some of them are nice and some can be bitches about it =[. im glad you spoke to the manager about the issue. i would have done the same thing =]

  • YOUR HAULS ARE THE BEST!!!!!!!

  • thats dumb of the sales person, what is even the point of her not letting you have a sample?

  • people always do that like one cashiere says no and like a bunch of others do

  • MAC needs to do something like make a collection and then make them permanent. Like all the time. And not just re-promote.

  • No the girls at the MAC counters swear they own the company they need to get a life, i spend lots on money at the mac counters so i think your in the right to want a dang sample come on that girl is lame!!!....

  • You don't have to be mean!! there are always new people to youtube and have questions... yes like the person before me said a haul is when you buy something and want to inform someone....it's always nice to watch them because sometimes you might see something you want.... or something you were not aware of...and sephora junkie always has good one :-)...

  • a haul is when you buy things duhhhh

  • what exactly is a "haul"?

  • its when you show what you bought.

Just like a show and tell.

  • hell yes. 2mths ago i was attended by this woman in mac and she didnt even smile and she said ' sorry we dun give samples anymore"..argh. i spent so much money there and i cant even test out some???i shld have complained! thats y i prefer male mua to females cos some females there are really snobbish..luckily majority of them are nt.argh

  • I hate retarded sales assistants. Especially when they give off the "I'm so great vibe" it's like, sweetie, no. You work for me. You should have told her manager :) but it's not just MAC, it's lots of places and it's so lame.

  • You should make a big deal about. That associate doesn't deserve her 60% discount. She needs to be fired. She doesn't even know her company policies.

  • i have mocha the blush i LOVE it if you use the cream blush pleasure full under it ITS AMAZING!

  • LOL @ Starfish... haha... I KNEW Starflash reminded me of something. LOL

  • I think you are right , its absolutely insane given how much you spend and how cheap they are, you better complain and get a full free pigment woman.

  • you're definitely not in the wrong... honestly, sometimes those people at the mac counters are such bitches... not always but sometimes

  • My mom and i went to a store in december 2008 for a christmas haul. ended up spending $125.00 . And i'de watched other videos on youtube saying they spent like $30.00 and got a free sample. My mum asked the lady if were entitled to a sample. And we got the same reply " a pigment goes a long way.." so mum spoke to the manager and said that we are both buyers of mac they still wouldnt give us a sample. Mom rang the head and we ended up get6 pigment samples and $50.00 gif card I know right!

  • It's not policy to give out samples for any set quantity of makeup, but most stores will give out samples if you ask nicely, rather than demanding or insisting that you're entitled to it.

  • you are totally right, you spent a lot of money there, i'm sure they can sacrifice a little pigment.

  • I believe that the MAC work force is made up of 40% snobs, and 60% really helpful sweet people.

  • Hi, is it possible to get the eyeshadows out of their box (wood winked etc.) so you can put them in the pallette? How do you do that?

  • Nope you were absolutly right ....its the principle of it!!!

  • just saying i think you should have got your pigments because if you pay alot you should atleast get a sample pigment

  • I had a question, if you have ever ordered MAC online, how long does it take to process and ship?

  • i like that you take your time befor to set out everything, in a organized way.

  • agreed =]

  • Do you have to be a pro member to buy the eyeshadow pro pan?

  • nope, just go to a mac store. you cant buy them online on the website.

  • nope. you can just buy it from the mac pro store. The pro members just get a cheaper discount :D

  • They dont want to give them away because they want them for themselves..lol I mean, if MAC didn't want to give samples, they wouldnt have them at all, ya know?

I think if you are going to charge that much for something you cant even eat or pay rent with, you should be able to try it before you commit to it.

Rock on. I would have made the MGR send me one or called Corporate for all the investment you made thus far;)

  • at my cco they just got everything from starflash and i only had 25 bucks!...... i got dreammaker and star by night eyeshadow

  • I was in a mac pro store today and spent only like 35-40 dollars, yet they still gave me a sample of the vanilla pigment and some of their microfine refinisher, and I didnt even have a very helpful or nice MA =/

  • Re: Pigment Samples, funny you said that because I went to MAC last Sunday, and spent over $100, and I asked if I could have a sample the Vanilla pigment, she said that they didnt give sample, she said she can put some on me instead. I was a little dissapointed. Your right, it's about the principle. I think you should call headquaters!

  • are you able to buy a 15 eyeshadow palette from a regular free standing mac store rather than at a pro store?

  • How do you depot your shaddows?

  • I use Enkore's no heat method

  • do u have to b a mac pro member to buy the empty palettes??! tanxx

  • nope.

  • if you're not a MAC pro member person can you still order things like those eyeshadow pans?

  • I bought mine from a regular MAC store. You don't have to be a PRO member in order to buy PRO products.

  • so regular MAC stores sell the eyeshadows in those pans and in those plastic pot things? sorry, im still confused. lol

  • yes the sell both pans and pots of shadows

  • ok thank you soooo much!

  • I think you are right [=

  • Nice haul! I'm working on my collection. Sadly I am only limited to 50 dollars per week on make up. So it's going to take awhile before I build mine up. Specially because I tend to go for the pricier stuff.

  • hi~is the foundation with the pump Studio fix? Is it okay for combination skin?Is it good coverage? I just got a Select Spf15 foundation and I find out it's light coverage~~and after few hours my T zone getting very oily~~~

  • About the samples. MAC here in Phoenix, AZ has always been very generous with samples, and in most cases offer them without me asking. And EVERY time I have come back after using the sample and purchased the full size products. The tiny sample sacrificed by MAC ends up in hundreds of dollars in sales over time, that's why they do it... this salesperson was evidentaly an idiot. And I would make that call to HQ and complain, you obviously spend plenty of money with them for it to be warranted =)

  • where did u buy ur MAC Pro emty palette??? i have bought alot of mac eyeshadow at MAC store n need MAC Pro emty palette... if u or anybody know then please let me know so that i can get few emty eyeshadow palette... thank you..

  • You can order the palette by calling MAC and ordering over the phone or you can buy them from a MAC freestanding store.

  • cool makeup

  • haha, isn't that always how it works? you go for a couple things from the new collection and leave with a ton of things you didn't realize you needed until you were there.

  • Do you think that the foundation pump will fit the Revlon Colorstay Foundation

  • No it doesn't work...lol I tried the same thing. :(

  • what is your job?

  • wow thats 253$ just for makeup!

i wish i had that much money :(

    your vids are great :D

  • Study hard and work hard then you can get the things you want in life. Trust me I paid my dues and now I am reaping the benefits from my sacrifices from my hard work.

  • You are totally not in the wrong for this, from experience, depending on the salesperson, some can be kinda snobbish at mac. Not giving pigment samples when they're already making so much money? come on thats petty, and I"m proud of you that you stood up to her.

  • hii

im just wondering if you have the select spf 15 foundation if you do

    is it any good?

  • studio fix fluid is amazing =]

  • kudos!the same exact thing happen to me, im glad you told the manager! lol some mac makeup artist can be snobish (if that is even a word haha)...im not hating im jus talking from experience

  • I don't think you should call corporate

you told the manager that was enough

you don't know what goes on there, and someone *not the manager* could have told her to say that... she will probably get fired if you do, and to me, that is just bitchy because she may have been misinformed. Retail as a job sucks... once the manager talks to her she'll know what the policy is, that is enough.

  • I reported her to her manager while she was in front of me. The manager gave me the sample and she was corrected. So all is well with no hard feelings. Calling corporate would have been extreme over a sample, unless she was very rude or obnoxious which she was not.

  • Ahhh I'm NW 30 AS WELL!!! Hardly anyone is!

  • do the mac stores carry the mac palletes ????

  • They should've given you the sample. You spend so much there. I didn't know the mac palette was only $12

  • It Is Mac Policy To GIve Out samples...If She Told You ThatSge Lying Threw Her Teeth..And You should Deff Call the head office...You A loyal customer i think they Can give You a damn sample....

  • hahaha a 28 dollar trip turned into a ..200-somethin trip lol love it.. ima go get that still life

  • you should call head office!!!! you said you spent like 500 bucks there...ummm, yea they should have no problem giving you samples!! the mac store i go to gave me 3 pigment samples one day and i did'nt even buy anything!

  • Wow!

  • try using expresso for your eyebrows with a small brush it works suprizingly well

  • Yes, I always get that, my MAC counters are always sooooooo yucks when it comes to samples. And I always buy a decent amount of stuff, not like 1 or 2 items, before I try out some pigments and ask about samples, and their reason?? NO CONTAINERS!!!! That's the lamest thing I have heard.

  • i want to get an eyeshadow palette and i have some eye shadows but when i get my palette, can i ask them to depot them right then and there for me? i only have like 3 or 4. and does it cost anything? i dont want to do it myself because i dont want to mess it up.

  • They won't depot e/s at MAC check out enkore's method it's what I do and it's easy

  • I would have went back to that MAC counter and cursed that bitch out,lol

  • same here!

    lol

  • hahaha u went for 2 eyeshadows and got all that. Sounds like me when I go shopping at MAC.

  • Stillife is my fave!

  • hell no u are exactly right i hate those bitches at mac they can be so stupid i no exactly what u mean they say oh ya we dont give out samples, but then you go ask someone else and they give it too you! gezz mac artist can be so difficult lol!

  • call the head office mam!!! i have goofed up wth foundations and concealer shades more than 4 tyms...now if i expect a sample of foundation, whats wrong in dat!!! u buy soo much stuff..m sure if u bring this to notice of the MAC officials or whatevr, it ill indirectly help, small buyers like me...n many more!!!

  • i hate palates!!! once i buy them, i m in sooo much hurry to fill them up...thank goodness, the blush palate has 6 slots...n not 15!! lol!!!

  • i swear it depends whos the bitch that serves you.. lol and plus if you spend a lot of money on them they should give it to you!! youre not wrong!! complain !!! seriously they do a lot of money with junkies like us so i dont understand why they tell you that.. =/.. usually to me theyre always telling me: we dont give samples.. anyways..

  • that's really weird, i just went to a mac pro store 3 days ago, and they INSTISTED that i take some samples, like i was just going to leave and they were like, wait, would you like some samples ? and i was like hellz yeah XD haha, like ya do, and so they gave me two pigment samples, hmmm... odd.

also, why didn't you buy any pigments??!! :( they are my favorite thing ever!!

  • The Pro stores seem more generous when it comes to samples. I went to a a regular MAC freestanding store. Needless to say it hasn't happened since. (They all know me by name now) ^_^ check out my other videos I do end up buying a bunch of pigments.

  • I love your haul videos :) xx

  • how much are pro pan blushes?

  • I think the pan blushes are $15.00

  • thank you.

  • Does the MAC stores sell pallets? cause i know that the MAC counter in like macy's dont I really want a MAC pallet? Where can i get one??..

  • MAC freestanding stores sell the pallets.

  • may i rant just a little?

usually, when i am being helped by an associate at my local mac counter, theyre SOO nice. which is why i woudl gt like 2-3 items instead of just one. but today, the lady who helped me WAS helpful, but had an attitude... i so would have gotten two items instead of my "stingy" one item. ok..im done. lol. if ONLY the ladies who helped me b4 helped me today, i wuld have gotten the eye kohl pencil in fascinating that i wanted. LOL.

  • I actually have a couple of MA's that help me and I will only go to them since they are really friendly and helpful.

  • ya i think im going to start doing that.

  • i think that the associates are just either lazy or snotty, cause i went there and they were all mean to be but AFTER i was like "Oh well, i got a new credit card and i thought i'd spend it @ mac cause i heard it sos great but no one will help me we'll just leave" then some lady came up to me and she was like hi can i help you with something.. and i was like srry i was just about to leave... ahaha the look on her face was priceless.

  • They don't work on commission-- so why would she care?

  • I think they need to make their sales quota. But seriously giving out pigments samples shouldn't be such a big issue.

  • I think they do...cause whenever I go to a mac pro store, I always see them write the price of the item in a notepad after every purchase. Kinda of a funny story. I went to mac, the salesperson helped me in suggesting two pigments, told her I'll think about it, and came back and bought the two items from a different salesperson and the first salesperson starts arguing with her in front of me that it should be her sale because she was the one that helped me earlier to pick out the two pigments.

  • if you get a to dark of foundation you can mix a lighter one with it and it will work and you can also mix some gold dust into the foundation and that will even out your skin tone

  • That nail polish is to die for!! Im from the UK and I went to MAC and they didnt give a sample either!!! :(

  • I totally agree its all about the principal!! You should call ... I would if I spent as much as you I would have told that manager to have that sales associate get those samples ready for me!
