  • Lady go make me a sandwich , you don't know games

  • Nobody noticed that Doki Doki Panic had no B-dash and no animations on say waterfalls and cherrys? Super Mario 2 US is a changed game, a better game.

  • god the epilepse thing is so annoying and the professor saying u cant tell till uve had ur first seasure so u cant tell u have asthma till ur first attack doesnt mean ppl shold take inhalers unless they know also i have epilepsy but what ppl dont realeise theres diffrent levels of it and half the world have a nut allergy does that mean we should get rid of snikers bars nope stupid proffesor needs to be told more info

  • You got to be kidding me...parents should be more concerned about the health effects of there kids drinking tap water, or eating at McDonalds than they ever would need to be about a stupid video game which is like a 1 in a billion chance that the kid gets this extremely rare reaction. Every day some kid get food poisoning from McDonalds most likely, or cancer from drinking too much floride.

  • Leave it to sleazy British TV programs to make shit like this. No wonder the BBC is dying in England.

  • carl is an idiot. No.1 fan my ass.

  • @SoldatCrinale Not all fans are happy morons that eat up everything their idol offers. Someone can be an intense fan of something and still be critical and objective about things that have disappointed them/other fans. Carl is a smart fan, not a blind follower(case in point, Twilight Fags would be people I consider in the "happy moron" category).

  • The problem is that indeed there should be a limit of flashes and what not for tv series because while zapping you might get a seizure by accident. But if you are going to WILLINGLY buy a game WITH WARNING and still get a seizure it's simply your own fault

    WTF JAP-BRITISH....RACIAL PARADOX AHH!!!

  • oh, god. what a snob. -_-

how could you not love super mario 2? it's such a good game.

also, windmaker........? well, at least she didn't say wind walker.

  • @biomelk i don't LOVE Super Mario 2...though i guess the game is okey, but i rather play SMB3 :) HAHA WINDMAKER! XD

  • this is again typical British BBC anti american anti corporation (good companies like nintendo) bullshit, do we have to miss out on games cause 3 percent of the players has a seizure? COMMUNIST BBC WHORES FROM ANTI AMERICAN HELL!!! argh

  • I don't Know Ive been playing games for years -since the late 80s, I played at the arcades everyday - I never seen a kid fall down and have a seizure, I still play games and I still never seen a kid have a seizure.

Its hard for me to believe a bunch of animated sprites can make someone have a seizure , it could be the high fructose corn syrup or maybe it was the fluoride in the water, it could also be all from ejected chicken or radiated beef, who knows but I kinda doubt it was the game itself.

  • @MysteryGameGeEk3000

None of those things can cause seizures...

  • I hated SMB2,i only liked 1,3 and the worlds plus kart

  • And about SMB2, when it came out the majority of the fans were kids, like myself, and although we did notice that it was completely different from SMB1, it was still a great game people loved it. According to Wikipedia, it has sold around 10 million copies. I don't like how this video casts it in an unflattering light.

  • Yeah, it's pretty ridiculous. They act like it's so inferior to "the others," when it's a fine game on its own. It's not like we got Doki Doki Panic in the Americas, anyway.

It beats the hell out of the SMB2 they got in Japan, that's for sure.

  • Isn't ANY game which features a fast moving background going to be one that fails a seizure test? I think it's absurd to try and deny the public these types of games (which account for a large percentage of total games sold) just because of a small percentage of the population. For just about ANY activity that one can do, there's going to be a small population that can be harmed by it because of their preexisting medical problems. Nintendo provides a warning; I think it's enough.

  • hmm so this is why the wii, ds and even some later gba games have warning images about siezures before you can play!

  • they were aparent then, i got my NES in 88

and there were warnings everywere, and all over t.v. shows like hard copy

  • While I empathize with the photosensitive population, I don't think it's fair to the 97% of the population to regulate the games.

  • SMB2 US is better than the SMB 2 they put out in japan.

  • LEGEND OF ZELDA THE WIND MAKER

  • The warnings are pretty apparent now a days of course, with them on the start up screens for both the DS and Wii.

  • Wow, I'm surprised they mentioned the Doki Doki Panic/SMB2 thing.

Although it may not have had the "Miyamoto standard", I don't think fans would be nearly as welcoming or accepting of the real SMB2 for the time, especially since it was a lot harder than SMB1, not to mention there was probably less work done for SMB2J than SMB2USA.

Great video though! Thanks for uploading this!

  • yes, smb2j is just smb1 with a few new stuff.

  • but the thing is.....Miyamota did make doki doki panic..that wasnt mentioned, yeah it wasnt meant to be a mario game but the game was still made By him For Japan....and its a really good game.
