I thought that H & T News released this first, back in the 80's..... my band copied alot of Huey's stuff and played it for weddings. I think Huey & the band was offered the chance to write the theme for Ghostbusters....but were surprised to hear Ray Parker got the deal when they didn't commit to the deal.

Nah, the beat is similar, but everything else is completely different. The guitars, the lyrics, the melody....all completely different.

IMO, this wasn't enough for Huey Lewis to win a lawsuit over.  They never did go to court though...Parker just settled with Lewis out of court which is not quite the same thing as admitting guilt.
