  • Hey, Where did you buy the Anderson Power Pole Set?

  • @austinm655 Ham Radio Outlet. But many other amateur radio suppliers also provide them.

  • Very good video, up close instructions! Thanks

  • Great video. Thanks for sharing!

  • same thing as teh tricrimp tool and the tri is only $30

  • It seems like that crimp tool really gets em tight! I was wondering if the company says anything about soldering the connection! I crimp and solder all connections on wires! I might not be able to crimp the APC's but i can sure solder them! I would assume that theirs no reason that I can't solder them! The power strip makes your shack look good! Nice and clean running wires! thanks! &73's

  • Jerry, thanks for all the great videos! I really appreciate all the down to earth explaination and quality video! - kd0cgg (nairbfry)

  • Nice video Jerry.Since I saw this video I think I might try this system.Looks like it can make a very neat set up. Before I was not sure how the power pole system worked. Thanks for the great info. Keep up the good work. Ron KA3WEL

  • Hi Ron,

Thanks for the response. Yes the powerpole system is awesome. I just installed a few powerpole connections in my Ford Escape. It makes plugging in the APRS tracker and my HT easier.

I plan to mount a small rigrunner in the truck as some point.

  • JT,

Very nice job! Thanks for subscribing to my Vids.

One thing I think should be mentioned on the Wall Warts, if there is a current limit on what you are using it for you will need to add some limiting circuitry. If the device doesn't care how many amps you put to it, no worries.

  • Nice video jerry, well im sure going to think about getting one. I have problms trying to connect all my radios and other 12v things to one out let on my power supply. even though i have a round socket on the front cheers for the video (5 stars rating) 73 de m3rqy

  • Hi Randy,

Yes...I'm familar with that pin. However, West Mountain Radio suggests not using the pin. I suppose I should have discussed that point. They state the pin could work loose. They recommend something like a super glue, but so far they fit really well together and I haven't had a problem.

    Jerry

  • Interesting. Oh well, I pin my connectors and never had a problem. Make some more videos, you are off to a good start. Randy

  • Very good video. There is a little round pin that can go into the hole between the red and black connectors to keep the two sections from sliding apart. Randy
