@winkie3331 That's Yuyuko 1,000 years ago, back when she was a living human rather than a spirit. We don't really know much about what she was, as only Yukari seems to have known her and she's not the type to tell much. All that's really known is that even as a human she had the power to invoke death in mortals, and that her body is used to seal away the youkai cherry blossom known as the Saigyou Akashi.

I... don't -think- she's a miko, though. Wrong style of clothing.

@bramblehead34 Pretty much. Her power to invoke death in mortals had caused death and depair around her, so she committed suicide so that power wouldn't claim even more lives. Later on, her corpse was discovered and used in a ritual to seal the Saigyou Ayakashi's power so it couldn't draw others to die beneath its branches.

I thought she only invited them to die, and if they died that way they were sent to the Netherworld to live there in the afterlife. I didn't know that when she walked past people just dropped dead. Makes me scared to play Hisoutensoku now (Yuyuko is my favourite in that game!!)

@frogmaster200 She commited suicide underneath the tree. Her body was used as a seal to prevent it from killing. But when Yuyuko became a ghost, she lost her memories as a human. So when she revived the tree (a la Resurrection Butterfly), she unwillingly revived the person buried under the tree (herself). Because of that, she killed herself again. I highly suggest looking at the Touhou Wiki for more info.

I correct you-

It is said that the tree when it was unsealed lured people in with the beautiful sakura petals, and then killed them.

Yuyuko then became the ghost she is, and they used her body as the seal for the Youkai tree's powers, which also means the tree doesn't sprout any petals.

Yuyuko eventually commits suicides (well based on this, but I can't remember if that's in the official story or not).

Yuyuko's body and others were used to form a barrier around the tree to keep it from killing other people.

So therefore, she can never reincarnate because of this.

yuyuko has a really sad story, but she looks so happy (well she forget all about her previous life so i think it's normal) her corpse was here all that time but she doesn't know it was here and even if it brings her to life the tree would kills every humans and living beings....(well i read this in touhou wiki some it's maybe wrong Xp).

I'd like to point out that Touhou wiki had a mistake in the romanized lyrics. In the line "nozomi dooi shiroi hana" it is actually "nozomi tooki shiroi hana."
