there are only slight differences between Dream Theater and Muse; they do sound quite alot alike, and i love them both like i have seen them live more than 6 times each.
that is small categories and means very little. the main conceptes behind their music are more or less the same, you're taking a simplistic look at it...
ZRoy626, how can u say that the start is similar to glorious? I have never heard a song that is more different than glorious! Dream Theater 1 Muse 0 ! :D
AH! The beginning sounds extremely similar to Muse's Glorious! But don't get me wrong, Dream Theater is a cool band, but I'm just saying that it sounds familiar. I would like to play this on Rock Band though.
Agreed, many people just know most of the bands from the old days or recent due to Rock Band or Guitar Hero. I actually found most of these bands on my own time without thoese games.
I heard "Pull me Under" last year on the radio, which I didn't know the name of the group. Then I found it on guitar hero, and looked it up for the plain old song. Then I came across this song, finding out it was on rockband.
one of the funnest bass lines

if by slight differences you mean that one is alt metal while the other is alt rock? Which seems to be a pretty big one...

Dream Theater is way different.

I know man! Anyone who tries to compare muse with dream theater are ignorant!! The only tiny similarity is that they're both progressive!!
