i think it is a horrible thing.i would rather die than have someone elses blood in me.its freaking gross...but thats just my opinon.to each their own.

@419Unknown These are single use, disposable kits. No one's blood ever goes into you. It's your blood only going back into you.

i think it is wrong to be paid for giving blood or any parts of the blood. Here in australia, we have the choice to donate our blood with no absolute reward. the brave people are the ones that can do it for a reward as simple as a small milkshake rather than getting a pay check!

@MKroX2202 in the US, if you're payed for blood, it's not going to human transfusion. It's an FDA requirement that all blood donors, where their blood is going towards direct human transfusion, can not be paid, period. The people you hear that are getting paid are from plasma donor centers. Those places are different. Those donations from those centers never go to human transfusion. They go to medical research and pharmaceuticals.

@MKroX2202 dude your acting like its a real pay check its only like 20 to 30$ and do you know how much they sell the plasma for??? try 1000$ per donation its only right we get something for saveing lives i mean these places are makeing so much money off the people that are donating and we the donars still get payd penys compared to what they make selling your plasma. so whats really wrong here is the people banking off the ones makeing the real sacrifice .. not us!

one messed up on me earlier today,

so theres some plasma just flowing around in my arm still and not in the vein,

i've been feeling a little pain every now and then, the doc that took my blood said about 6 hours it should be fine,

i'm on my 7 hour now.... and it feels swelled....

it doesnt hurt , before i donated i was a real wuss at needles but i aint sense i gave blood so far twice standard blood donations, i dont want a machine to be incharge of my blood plasma, thats why i dont do it , i only do standard.

hey thats wat i saw when I donated blood today at my high schools blood drive, doesnt hurt at all. I gave 1 unit of red blood cells.
