  • lol war on a gang you cant kill a gang you can kill a goverment sucks because they both cause greater evil when defending and attacking each other

  • Police stopping the yakuza?? Wait, aren't they suppose to be harassing foreigners instead? The reporter in this video looks Asian, maybe an illegal Chinese. Make him show ID, take him to the station for questioning!

  • I like how so many people are trying to defend the yakuza. When they deal heavily in child porn and forced prostitution of kidnapped women from other countries.

  • Crook Japanese.. what a surprise

  • shinji ishihara wow dont mess with this guy!!

    i respect this guy

  • Japs land of criminals and war criminals...

  • @Tom15452 nah, that's every country actually.

  • @Tom15452 funny that you say that and Japan has the lowest homicide rate in the whole entire world. Besides get over WWII what are you 80? Probably not. And you didn't experience WWII so STFU. Also instead of posting racist comments just because you're anonymous why don't you have the courage to tell that to someone's face you little piece of shit. Don't generalize an ethnicity. There are good people and bad people everywhere.

  • There's a really great book on the subject called TOKYO VICE

  • I get the suspicion that this is all PR, since the Japanese public have been aware for a long time how deeply entrenched the Yakuza are with the Police forces all over Japan.

  • Tepco/Mitsubishi owns the internet there. THAT is organized crime.

  • I read book about Yakuza, is it true that a member must cut off his own finger if he fails his boss? But really, the authorities behave like a gang to so is this really gang warfare?

  • @MrROTD yes it's true, if you dishonor your gang, you have to chop off your finger.

  • The reason for this latest crackdown is probably for the Japanese gov. giving the Yakuza a message to control their elements as crime has been going up in Japan due to the poor economy.

Wait and see, this crackdown will result mainly in nothing, the Yakuza will survive.

  • The Yakuza are not your typical hoodlums or gangsters...yes they have a subset of this but in the end they are businessmen. Also the Japanese politicos have been in cahoots with them since time imemorial...after ww2, the Japanese politicos are mainly in their pocket, financing their campaigns etc.

The Japanese police also have an aggreement with the Yakuza that violent crime and their criminal elements be limited and not become too bad.

  • The Japanese police cannot remove the Yakuza from society...heck even the pre 1945 militaristic Japanese gov. tried to arrest all the Yakuza it could find and send them to the front lines. They failed.

The Yakuza is not only ingrained deep in Japanese society but also in business and government. The government is in too deep with teh Yakuza, so is big business. The Yakuza since 1946 was one of the forces which contributed to the Japanese economic powerhouse.

  • The mob never effects my life or hurts me in anyway. The government fucks me over every single day however.

  • @JesseKantstopolis are you trying to say that mobsters are better than the government?

  • @weldon29 - Well, after natural disasters in Japan, the yakuza is usually there before the government to help - including getting "subcontractors" into the Fukushima power plant to shut it down.

  • @weldon29 That's exactly what I'm saying. The mob kills and maims vastly fewer people than government. And more importantly the mob provides people with goods and services they actually want. The mob doesn't force me to sign up for the draft, the mob doesn't force me to give them my hard earned money, the mob doesn't threaten to throw me in a cage if I don't obey them, the mob doesn't restrict my freedoms. The government hurts me ever day, the mob doesn't effect me in any way.

  • da fuck homie fuck dat! big bad ass osaka trese gang we go hard!

  • How can SONY, TOYOTA, YAKUZA co-exist in the same society?!

  • @Nairuulagch Just like Microsoft, Ford, and the hundreds of gangs in the US do.

  • gotta love al jazeerah for letting us know a bit

  • I pray for the day the CIA is no more, forever and ever. As I will it, so be it.

  • The 893 In japan till the end of the 80's was legalized crime, well accepted by the Japanese society. Today Yakuza as different names for different laws...but still be a japanese need never the less.

    .

  • @zepepelin

go back to your cave or basement.. u dont know what the world looks like

  • if wish here in the US, they would crack down on the gangs in our government

  • Nam Myo Ho Renge Kyo!

  • Organized Crime is biggest of racketeering groups in the public sector. As it is in Canada I know it is...

  • just send them to L.A. or the southside of Chicago. That'll teach them.

  • @BabyGirlGoddess nigger violence is the answer to everything

  • @SerratedXx

    shut up niggah

  • @KhmerD0g or what?

  • @SerratedXx

or niggah violence will be the answer to your problem

  • @KhmerD0g thank you

  • @KhmerD0g <--- inferior nigger pedophile

  • @FriendlyCroock <---------- Friendly_Cock_sucker. hahahaaaa bitch.

  • @FriendlyCroock <------- subhuman, white, albino jackass

  • There is no such thing as good guys and bad guys. Just good and bad situations any side can be apart of. The way the government operates is like an even larger enforcing anti-social organization...don't see anyone rushing in to stop oligarch's democratic voting placing puppet corporate spokesmen as PM's and Presidents.

  • @admiralcrash1 Of course, and how dare they try to start change at some point somewhere? What's that? There are people who are trying to change the oligarch controlled system? Like the OWS? Oh, they can't change the world so they might not as well try to change the corrupt system of the Yakuzas, because you know, you can't change the world, just like the french revolution putting an end to the feudal system in france.

  • should've got fat tony to help out.
