  • spoiled little fucker!

  • i swear that was fake crying i know people are gonna tell me im fucking stupid retarded ya ya ya i heard it all before but seriously she was fucking faking it there's no way in hell that was real she has everyone tricked but not me but she was good at acting at least

  • Awww, Simon has a soft side for kids! <3

  • She was perfectly fine, so why did she suddenly break down?

  • @chloedean5 she was nervous - a guy told her backstage just how many viewers she would have - and the nerves just overcame her.

  • I love that the people in the audience sing the chours with her that would never happen on Americas got talet! What a class act by them!

  • Spoilt brat.

  • @unwrittenx1 good one!

  • @DoeJane0 ;)

  • @unwrittenx1 thats hardly been a spoilt brat - she was a 10 year old little girl - kids are kids - all she wanted was a second chance - not being spoilt

  • what a bloody wimp

  • @MrEvilfims so - when u were 10 years old did you go out in front of - must have been over a million in total in views - over britain - had a flippin brakedown - then had the pure guts to go back out and show everyone wat ur made off - DID U DO THAT - I DON'T THINK SO

  • No tears.... or if they were they were coming from the crocodile standing behind her. Geez.

  • i want to see a grown man on americas got talent do this just to fuck with the british

  • All I can say it that Ant & Dec handled that VERY well.

  • I would have buzzed anyway to be honest and so should the judges - If it had been anyone else they would have!!

  • rofl luv that gal

  • HAHAHAHAHAHAH

  • no tears? strange

  • Part of the reason Simon Cowell gave her that second chance (which I think we should all be glad he did ) is he had realized just how precious this young talent could be and the other part is remembering how critical he had been of her during an earlier show. Her progression to a very talented performer since then should allow the meanies to regret their reactions. It is Simon's show after all.

  • She's very talented but that caused her so much stress. Her mother should have given her a few mores years to find her "stage legs" even if Hollie thought she was ready. I know she's doing well know but there're all kinds of routes you can take...

  • Gosh how mean some of you are. I'm a professional musician and singer and know what it's like to be so passionate about something that nothing less than the best you can possibly do will suffice. The kid is ten years old and already driven by the power of music. You can SEE it's not her mother pushing her, and you can SEE that she's not a spoilt brat. If you look with your eyes & heart that is, and not with your jealousy and acid tongue.

  • stupid girl.

  • ....

  • notice how she could immediately stop crying when they said she could do it again

  • She must've wanted it to be perfect.. but it was still an amazing performance! :)

  • I'm sorry but - GUYS!! Take it easy! She's only 10 years old. And i'm pretty sure that about none of you could have done it any better. What about those last notes, could you have hit those notes without screaming? I don't think so. I'm sorry but do you know how hard it is to sing a song with that high notes? I think it's amazing that she even dare to pick a song that is that hard to sing - And she sings it with that few fails! :)

  • SLAPPA IN DA FACE-A.

  • She is a great singer but this was so staged it's unreal

  • I believe that this is unfair !!

    who agrees with me ????

her second performance just squeezed other acts turning them from performances into consequences !!!

  • Comment removed

  • She is brilliant! If things never went wrong there would be no blooper or out-take shows and coming back, at her age, on live TV was really something. I hope she does really well in future. As for some of the comments, some people have no heart and no understanding of a mother's love.

  • Sorry if im being harsh, but i think she is a brat tbh :/ sorry ...yeah it must be hard but getting her mother up there! she stoped crying and started again..i like to see things screw up like strictly come dancing with mark rumpakash but that just got to me!! big time!!

  • "Please can she do it again? Please, I want my daughter to be exposed to shit loads of fame to form my future income!"

  • Awesome girl. How does she get so much dynamics out of such a small amount of breath? Incredible singer for an adult, let alone a child. You who are slamming her will probably be cleaning her toilets one day. Losers.

  • i hate this girl !!!! shes so pathetic!! she cant even sing!!!!

  • She is 13 now

  • She took a hissy fit whenever there wasn't enough time LOL

  • i knew this girl i have a pis of me next to her... she went basic with me ... she used to pick on me

  • LOL

  • just pretend to cry when you get nervous in front of the audience and everything will be ok.

  • @DonAlfee you horrible pathetic cow, she's flipping eleven and you are sick

  • Comment removed

  • im sorry, but shes not even crying

  • That was so sweet how everyone supported her. ^^

  • bless ant and dec they came up to her

  • No its okay ... you dont have to start again.

  • again, its what simon says that matters :D

  • she is fab no matter what

just coz she done a few bum notes doent mean she should cry

    then amanda gets involved

then they say no more time she has a hissy fit LOL

  • she is fab no matter what

just coz she done a few bum notes doent mean she should cry

    then amanda gets involved

  • she is fab no matter what

just coz she done a few bum notes doent mean she should cry

  • Whether it was real or not, getting over a breakdown on stage is always an essential learning curb in show business- singing, acting or whatever. It's sad it happened on live television- but it happens to the best of us!

  • She wasn't crying, she was sobbing. Sobbing creates no tears, and she was nervous as hell.

  • not a tear in sight prrt

  • guys really give her a break really shes only 9 or 10 and her other songs are really good i feel bad for her... but it was kindda odd no tears but still leave her alone!

  • Okay look here everybody. There seems to be a lot of hate and love comments. In my opinion, you both have valid points. Yeah, there weren't really any tears, and she did throw a bit of a tantrum towards the end when they were telling her they didn't have time, but we also have to remember that at 10 you're still so young! I've had loads of panic attacks that go just like that. I definitely see both ways but please, can we stop with the name-calling and condescending remarks?

  • no tears!!! OoO meehhh

  • simons face xD its just like omg keep going!!! D:

  • LOL

  • SHES A CRYER A SPOILT BIT OF CRAP SHE WAS ONLY GOIN HUH HUH HUMH SHE WASNT CRYING AT ALL AND IM THE SAME AGE AS HER EVERYONE THINKS SHES SO BRAVE NOTHIN COMPARED TO MY BOYFRIEND RAN INTO A BURNING HOUSE FOR ME THE CRY BABY IS JUST TAKING A TANTRUM AND THEY SAY SHES THE BRAVEST GIRL IN BRITAIN OR WATEVER SHES ALSO THE MOST HATED I COULD TO THAT EASY SHE I HAVE TO MODEL IN FRONTS OF LOADS OF PEOPLE SHE DESERVES A KICKING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @misssweetiepie247 How pathetic, you have to troll her on the internet. Aren't you a big person? Go grow up, if you are the same age as her, stop posting about fires on the internet that probably didn't even happen. She needs a kicking in? Absolutely immature. A 10 year old wouldn't go around threatening a girl they don't even know.

  • @misssweetiepie247 I don't think you should take out your personal problems on her. She's just a kid. geez people.

  • Wow the mom is really nice -_- "Just forget everybody" even though their cheering their hearts out for her, she should just forget them -_-

  • she ugly and her voice isnt that good

  • Did anybody even see any tears come from her eyes?? Didn't think so!

  • somehow Michael McIntyre brought me here

  • @MaXe1R lol, his royal variety performance brought me here too!

  • she wouldn't have got through anyway after this.

  • Don't Worry Simon can create time!

  • The producers don't make the rules, Simon does!!!

  • @StarDylan1 Yes, Simon makes the rules, it's his show.

When I was in the 5th grade, I was nominated for the 'homeroom representative' for the student council. I wrote out a small speech to give on why I thought I should be the representative. I went up to the podium, and in front or 15 or so other kids I had what people call 'stage fright'. It's exactly what happened to Hollie.

If you've never been in a situation like that, you have no idea how embarrassing and frightening it can be.

  • 0:42 Simon you bastard!!!!

  • @claudshow07 Well said :)

  • she got a hug from dec.. and she's still crying?!:(

  • stupid bitch just wanted more votes tbh

  • @lampsyno8 lol u actual legend

  • @lampsyno8 You're calling a ten year old girl a bitch? I think you need to go see someone about your inferiority complex. Your comment merely shows your level of immaturity and compassion for other people. Good luck in life with that attitude, and I honestly hope you never have children of your own.

  • LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL SHE IS a pig

  • For one she was crying because she was scared NOT because shes a little spolit brat. Two i would like to see half of the people that are critisising her up there infront of thousands of people and put under a lot of pressure when you were ten. and Three she's an amazing singer so just get over the fact she made a mistake.

  • Comment removed

  • everyone is comparing Susan Boyle with Hollie Steel, and to be honest, look at their age difference, you can't actually say who's better, they have different styles - why cant they have their own talent and why cant we be fair? In this world, no one is perfect, so accept for who they are.

  • Little spoiled brat!

  • @sophiejcole2011 i totally agree! she needs a good teliing off

  • if rooney misses a pen, he cant just go crying wolf to the ref for another try

  • pleeeaazzzzz

  • she should have won :|

  • argh, i know she's only young but this reaaaaaaaaally pisses me off. she starts 'crying' because she doesn't get her own way and then she does and..argh:@

  • Comment removed

  • 2:33 Tantrum 3:25 Gets her own way. Diva - and in the good sense of the word!

  • She is a decent singer - though I can't really listen to it, it just hurts. And she indeed seems to be "faking" or atleast she seems like a very very spoiled child.

"AN ICE! I WANT AN ICE! NOW!" -

"No sorry darlin' not now" - "WUAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA" - "Shhhhhhh! we're around tons of people in town - okay okay, chill chill Shhh you'll get your ice cream"

*Fuck yeah* - "Everything went better than expected"

  • @xSakijix there is something dark about this kid..another imelda marcos or evita peron in the making...the way she smiles..is very dangerous. evil child..

  • all kids are protected by the cuteness factor.

no wonder they let her redo it

  • What baby i would not have done that at ten years old

  • If she planned that crying scene then she's a genius.

  • I laughed so much when ant goes ''sorry we don't have the time'' and she starts crying

  • LOL

  • Comment removed

  • Thats probably the result of a coach making her practice to late the night before. I felt bad though because she is only ten and was probably really nervous. and on top of that i don't think she would have done it on purpose. I mean how embarassing is this for a ten year old. She probably is still teased about it by bullies at school.

  • lol simon cowell ' we will find time '. what is he friking god :)) good performance tho

  • @robodude223 That's Michael McIntyre's joke, from the Royal Variety Performance, you should have referenced him at least :P

  • @robodude223 Hey, people do what Simon says... he scares them.

  • she started off better in the first one but it turned out amazing!! she was fantastic!!

  • drama queen ... -.-''

  • fake tears? gimme a break, shes 10 years old. stop being so jaded

  • omg when Connie sang she never cried plus there is not even 1 tear in her eye drama queen

  • ant and dec are the sweetest guys i've ever seen in my life! ♥ Hollie is just BRILLIANT! AMAZING SINGER! i think all the bad comments are just because the people is Jealous... GOOD for her! love ant and dec :D

  • I think she could not do so well in semi round cause it not the song she is good at, whereas in Final she can sing very well....... anyway i love her and her beautiful voices

  • Simon is such a sweetie :)

  • Just another comment in support of Hollie Steel.

And really, even if her age was the main reason they were so lenient on allowing a second attempt at her performance, that still seems fine to me. Only a person with half a brain would treat a ten year old girl the same way as a grown adult.

The difference between giving a child her second chance or witholding it could be whether or not she has a paralyzing fear of failure in every area of her life -- for the rest of her life.

  • @isleschild Hollie had a lot of wind under her wings to be able to fly this high. Lots of supportive people, and maybe a good portion of that support was because she was young. What's wrong with that? You protect children, which they did by giving her another chance.

She didn't get an auto-win. She actually has talent.

If you think that stepping onto the stage of competition means you are all equalized, then I have news for you. Talent competitions can be serious, but this isn't war.

  • She's only 10 years old.... I couldnt sing on stage... Im 26

    She is very brave...

    Think she should have won..

  • 0:43 why did she do that was she sad?

  • I saw some very cutting remarks on other copies of this clip (like Hollie's Semi-final part 1 only), and I won't mention names, but I would just like to say that the first time I saw this video (and every time since), I was, and am, in complete agreement with the crowd and Simon's comments when Hollie broke down. I loved how the crowd had cheered and applauded her, and was very thankful she was given a second chance, sweet girl. The judges comments after her second chance were great as well.

  • OMG WHAT HAPPENED TO HIS FACE AT 5:56???!!!???

  • she could not controle her break down, i understand from personal experiance because i have anxiety disorder and you cant controle the break down its like stage fright exept 10 times worse and it follows you forever.

  • I know this was like one year ago, but I don't think some people realize that her "tantrum" wasn't a tantrum, it might have been a panic attack or anxiety. It's really quite terrible to have one of those happen to you, and that's why there wasn't any giant tears or anything. I could be wrong, but I could be right.

  • 61 people are heartless

  • fuck hollie steel hollie steel sucks

  • Comment removed

  • it was simon's fault, she noticed him talking through her performance :/

  • I think she forgot the words or something, but it must be stressful in front of so many people, so I dont blame her.

  • OMG i started crying when they said no the frst time and she said pleeease? it was so saddd

  • *shocked*

Holy crap... that last note made my hair on the arms raise... i love this girl, she is brave XD

  • Courage has a new name: "Hollie Steel". Children have fought wars and built nations. Don't think less of them just because they're young.

  • SHE'S TEN YEARS OLD! I'm twice her age and i'd shit my pants if i had to get in front of so many people!

  • I'm actually feel sorry for the adults that feel like they need to insult and make fun of a child to make themselves feel better. I'm embarrassed for you.

  • Now she is a talented kid but i actually do think she is acting and that she is a spoilt brat. She was fine during the performance then out of no where she just bursts out crying. Then when they say she can not start again she stamps her foot and burst outs crying even though she was not even crying....tears were not coming from her eyes and yes people will say that she is just a child and that it was hard for her but their have been younger contestants then her

  • Yes she's a beautiful singer and it's perfectly understandable for her to break down , but it is just absurd that she was given a second chance. The way she cried when they said how she didn't have time to sing again, it just shows that she's nothing but a spoilt brat. Imagine if she'd won and cried in the middle of The Royal Variety Performance in front of the Queen. She shouldn't have been allowed to sing again and definetly shouldn't have been put through to the final. Its completely unfair.

  • Not really made of steel is she? Despite her surname....

  • I find it sad that adults say such mean things about a little girl. She's a kid guys, give her a break. She did amazing and that is one of the bravest things I have ever seen.

What kind of people do we have in this world that pick on little kids. Sad, really sad.

  • @DancerrChick

You're not a singer are you?

  • @BloodyFandango I think she's a dancer,since her name is dancerrchick lol

  • @AmieeOXO yer actualy stuped :L

think dummy, if she can fake emotions, in front of full close-up camera-live stream, she deserves second chance for having second talent, actually better than first one, for children at this age can't act like grown-ups

  • yo, @tasbazz - thanks for posting, but she IS talented! and she's ten - of COURSE she cried! FAKE TEARS?? wth!

  • what a sook... just shows shes to young to enter that kind of competition.

  • got to love her

  • I feel so embarrassed for her x_x <3

  • -_-'' she is not acting. she is a kid with the pressure of a 30 year old. even 30 year olds cant handle it sometimes. what the hell do you expect from a child?

  • if all things fail for her, if she grew 5'11 she can model LOVE HER ANGELIC FACE

  • Poor little girl....

i started to cry when i saw her the first time....

but the last note HOLY SHIT!!! SHE IS GOOD

she really can sing... she should poblic a CD or something... i'd listen

  • i love her but this is so fake, before the performance the hosts said "she's got nerves of steel" its all set up.

  • @OliverKnowles

why wouldt you? its so fun!

  • She's had a breakdown, because she got nervous & it upset her, she's only 10, what do you expect? about the temper tantrum, they usually swing their arms around, shake their head, stump, jump around and throw themselves on the floor kicking & demanding attention, which is usually done by a spoiled brat. I didn't see any of that. She was crying & pleading for another chance. A spoiled brat usually thinks their too good & won't mess up because of nerves.

    God bless you Hollie!

  • @MrWeatherdude1984 Also a temper tantrum child usually & always screams & yells. I didn't see any of that either. about the tears I have 2 sisters younger then me & when they were lil girls they would get upset & cry without producing any tears.

  • @MrWeatherdude1984 Even if Hollie did have a major temper tantrum which wasn't true, since they exaggerated everything about Hollie, just to pick on her. My lil sister at Hollie's age, had major tamper tantrums issues, & even behaved like a spoiled brat, yet she was always a real sweet heart which made me forget about it & I love her a lot, we're very close. What Hollie did happened more then a year ago & should be forgotten, since she didn't do it again.

  • @MrWeatherdude1984 Let's not forget there is a reason why Hollie broke down. I think the producers, promoters, fans, etc are responsible for making her nervous since they favored SuBoyles & didn't want any competitors. They're responsible for Jamie Pugh & Natalie Okri mess ups. Why? Money of course, they wanted to make money out of SuBoyles, otherwise if Hollie or the others were ahead it would have ruined them, since they made SueBoyles world famous.

  • @weathermusic1984 So what if Susan Boyles broke down? 1st of all, she's grown up, her reactions would have been much different. Yes, they would have given her a 2nd chance without any hesitation, right away, otherwise the whole world would have been against BGT, since they made her world famous. They didn't even want Hollie to go again. I'm not hating on SueBoyles. I thought she was also a good singer, but my all time fav is Hollie & I felt so bad for her. I pray to God for Hollie.

  • @weathermusic1984 you replied to yourself :/

  • her mum is as bad as her

  • its not hollies fault it must be hard being up infront off all those people i would be nervous like that aswell

  • hollie every time i watch you sing, u make me excited

  • idc what ppl said about her , just by that tiny bit she sang , even without a second chance ,she deserved and had enough talent to get through

  • i love her voice, it sounds like sweet honey. glad she could perform once more.(:

  • she is brave. im glad she didnt melt down again.

  • i know shes sad...but at least she got touched by one of the judges!!!!:D

  • Connie talbot was able to go up there and not have a break down :/

  • @antiamanda2 Connie was also little enough not to realize the hugeness of being on TV like that. Littler kids don't get nervous as easily.

  • and i dont think that was fake crying !

  • i think that she just forgot the lyrics but you have to remeber she is only ten years old ! and with a voice like that she can go really far in life . because i know that i wouldnt have any guts to do that espeically at ten years old. and even after getting embarrassed on stage she wanted to sing again ! if i were her i wouldnt of even showed my face in public . then her second performance was great !

  • The poster of this video seems to think that the tears are fake and a means of getting through with little talent. We all know by now that Simon will tell it like it is. If she were a talentless cry baby looking to use tears as a crutch. Simon would have called her on it. That's a lot of pressure for anyone, for a 10 year old, overwhelming. Proof that it was not fake. At 1:28 she sees her mom and calls out "mommy." With open arms. That's what a child does when they cry for fear and anxiety.

  • Simon does have a heart seeing simon react to Hollie is not something you see every day XD

  • omg what a turd, she wasnt even crying!

  • @ToAsTiZnIcE She wasn't crying tears flowing out of sadness. It was a cry brought on by a panic attack. I wish I had that kind of talent, and the guts to go along with it. Most people would run off the stage and never come back. She not only came back, but had a great performance. She's not the best singer in the world, but she is very good for a 10 year old. With age her talent will grow, and I'm sure her bravery will too.

  • I feel so bad for her. Can you imagine all the pressure? On a 10 year old! Trust me, that was not fake crying.
