  • Absolutely the best tutorial on these basic camp knots I have found. Easy to understand and very insightful. I like the small tweaks you have introduced on some of the knots. Makes them much easier to follow. Thanks for teaching me something new!

  • 2nd most useful video I watched today. The first one was also about knots. Your's was a lot easier to follow. Thanks for the knowledge.

  • I saw this last night and I've been making the knots over and over to train my hands to remember them. This is without a doubt the best video on knots I have seen. Your pointers on the important details about the knots is brilliant. For example, you say this must be parallel with that, and make sure you take a loop from that side of the loop. This makes it easy to make the knots correctly, and to remember where we often go wrong. Also, I've never seen the butterfly knot made so easily as here.

  • @BernhardHofmann many thanks for the nice comment, am glad you find the vid useful! gruess us de schwiiz

  • Nice clear demonstration, not too fast or boringly slow. Clear and good English. Excellent video that I'll watch a few times for sure whilst I practice these knots.

    Sehr guet!

  • Clear and concise, cheers, excellent video, helped a lot

  • @Colhane Thanks Dave, it is much appreciated.

  • You could have put the warning at the start. I was watching the video thinking, "I use that for climbing and that one and that" Then come the end and the warning. LOL

    Good video and well explained.

p.s When you grab a small half loop on a rope it is known as, a bite of rope.

  • @gssg9 thanks for the hint (the "bite"). I am not a climber so I dont know what knots are used while climbing... cheers

  • Hallo, das ist das beste, vollständigste und genialste Konten-Video das ich je sehen durfte! Grandios! Merci vielmal : ) Sepp

  • @inquisitivewolf ...a Idea for a new swiss 3d Avatar, haha, The Knot-Man ; ) Happy Day, my friend, Sepp

  • @Waldhandwerk LOL :o)

  • @Waldhandwerk Another brilliant idea Sepp, "Knot-Man" ----- Perfect! :).

Thank goodness I have you to come up with great ideas. That way, I don't have to use too much of my own brain, which lets face it, is very, very, limited and quite simple :).

Take care my friend and have a good week.

  • @inquisitivewolf Thanx for the positive comment!

  • sehr gut!

  • @q1qeu Danke, hat spass gemacht das Vid zu drehen!

  • I like a couple of these knots over ones I'm using now, that was a very easy to understand video. Thanks for sharing. Take Care :-))

  • @SurviveN2 which ones do you like better? glad you liked the video and take care

  • @SwissGearLabs The anbindeknoten and the stopper stek (w/quick release) are two knots I'm going to start using. Instead of your Butterfly knot I use a Pursik knot for many different things. See my "Tarp Setup" video @ 1:07. Although for a damaged rope the Butterfly knot would be great to use. The Bowline and the Sheet Bend are two good knots to know also. I've put your video in my "Knots & Rope" playlist along with other good videos about this subject. Take Care :-))

  • Excellent video! I learned a lot and will be practicing my knots. Thanks, have a nice day.

  • @gerberboy0100 it does take some practicing to remeber knots, doesn't it. thanks for watching
