  • Man, I fight the battle of the bulge every fucking day. In the past ten years my waistline has gone from 34 inches to 38 inches. I'm losing this battle!!!

  • BF1942 music haha nice it fits well

  • 101 AirborneVeteran- THANK YOU! My granddad was also 101st, his brother was 82nd. You are all heros and brave men. thank you

  • the only people who saw the end of that war were the heroes who were killed in that war.

  • Wrong music choice for something so dramatic such as WW2

  • my grandpa fought in this as one of those bazooka guys... crazy shit

  • The final last desperate attempt by the Germans to break the American advance. Everyone knew that unless the Germans pushed back, it was only a matter of time before the war was over. However few expected them to push out of the Ardennes and many of the Americans that were caught in the fighting there were fresh faces or reserves.

  • This video gives you a real sense of how damned cold we were. Many American troops froze to death. It was a nightmare because we were surrounded, cut off and freezing. After the initial German breakthrough, we reformed the lines and held those Nazi bastards, but the cost was high.

  • @101stAirborneVeteran total respect i respect any man or woman who goes off to another country to fight for then deserves every bodys respect, past and present soldiers

  • @101stAirborneVeteran my grandpa was their he past away a year today and never spoke of it except of two things he was doing what the lord wanted him to do , live or die for our country, so that us kids had a futer, and that they walked so far by time winter hit hard he had not one stitch of sole on his boots, and almost lost his feet just from the snow untile he was able to get new ones. thank you so much, he was a mp, and also a riffleman. i have followed in his foot steps thank you again.

  • Please accept my gratitude for everyone ere who had a family member in the service. They helped shape ur country.!!! THanks again. Patton roxs.

  • why did u use bf2 music? gay

  • Because he can...

  • My grandpa was in this battle, he is still alive and doing well.

  • We owe him a lot, please express my gratitude to him.

  • My dad's cousin also fought in the battle of the bulge he got the silver star during it..(Not bragging, or anything because I don't want to sound like I am..sorry)

  • my great uncle marched with paten i think it was, not sure. into bastogne to save the surrounded american troops, im having a mental blokc i cant remember the specifics, but he was also on the dog green sector of omaha beach and one of the 3 men to make it out of his boat alive

  • my grandpa fought in the battle of the bulge. wish i could have met him to hear stories.

  • it was amazin wat da americans had 2 go through 2 win

  • It was amazin what everyone had to go trough to endure the war.

  • I don't think you realize how retarded you just seemed.

  • So you say that all the Soviet, the German, the Chinese, the Japanese, the British, the Italian, the Finnish and many other civilians didnt suffer as much as the Americans? Do you understand if I say:

"I don't think you realize how retarded you just seemed. "?

  • @anounisnothing The Americans didnt win, the Allies did.

  • not sure all footage is from battle of bulge that took place dec-jan of bitter cold, snowy winter. some clips looks like spring aftermath.

  • So many of the major battles seem to have been fought in snow. I do not understand that.

  • Like last year we walked 20 kms around Bastogne, minus 2°C: it was the 64th anniversary in tribute this time to the 327th GIR.

Poor soldiers suffered terribly from the coldin 1944.

  • I admire those man; i wonder how many degrees they were

  • Both my grandfathers fought in this battle, albeit in different units. One of them was in 106th Infantry, and the other one was in the 99th(I believe his unit was known as the Checkerboard division). I asked both of them about it, one of my grandfathers actually said it was the 1st time in his life he really did start praying to God with sincerity. The other one was a courier in the 106th; from what I have heard he was quite lucky to make it out alive.

  • an old family friend who was in vietnam told me that his father who was in the battle of the bulge told him that the worst fight he was ever in was in the ardennes fighting in the forrest while the forrest was on fire

  • I was a Paw bearer for a WWII vet that was there just this last summer 2008 - he told me one story of the battle of an Indian in his company that was in charge of the mortar - he said that the Germans were so close, that the indian had the mortar pointed almost straight up - the were both located on top of a house protected from enemy fire by the smoke stack fo the house. I can't fathom the thought of being that close and able to walk away as the victor.

  • My grandfather was in the Bulge, first as a medic, then moved to Marksman on the frontlines. He made it through the battle, but their jeep hit a landmine, and some man (who he never found) encountered him, the only living survivor, and carried him 12 miles on his back to an aid station. : /

God Bless the vets and those in the Bulge.

  • My grandfather was also in this battle. but i nevr heard his story. he nevr talks about it. my mom said she asked him about his story in this battle. he tried to talk about it but he just choked up and started to cry, and he nevr tried telling anyone about the battle of the bulge again. he is still alive to, he is 90 somthing.

  • My great-uncle was a joe in the infantry. He was separated from his company and got lost in the Ardennes for a month. He just flat out won't talk about it all, no matter what you say to him.

In a way, it's sad that his story will die with him and I can't pass it on. On the other hand, maybe it's a good thing that his story will never be known. I can't imagine what kind of horrors he faced. I'm glad he had the guts and courage to face whatever it was over there, for that - I respect him.

  • greatest respect

my dad went to (through) korea

    same deal

training camps, exerceises, yep nice little chat tried to get him to open up about what he went through in korea , not a hope .

  • Respects to the "Battered Bastards of Bastogne"!

  • i first heard tht of band of brothers its the best the batterd basterds of bastone but its sad.

  • You Sultanuss have to learn some respect.

  • GOD BLESS AMERICA AND I'M CANADIAN!

    does that cheer you up?

    Yes I Support America!

  • Kalash47ussr Are you normal? The soviets where the ones who took Berlin! The USSR only had 1 war against NATO Where ther was NO FIGHTING AT ALL! You must be an absolute idiot!

  • My Grandfather was in this battle as well. He served from 1944-1946 and made Tech Sgt.

  • Lol battlefield music. I like it!!!!

  • My Grandfather Harv was in that battle he was shot in the throat and the only reason he lived was because the snow slowed down the bleeding.. He was my hero he used to talk in a real deep voice and smoke pall mall 100's everybody used to call him Harv the Butcher they do not make men like that anymore I only hope by doing my best I could have a chance do kick it with him in heaven.

  • Right on brother! Make him proud!

  • where do you get the footage from?

  • battlefield 1942 music LOL!!!

  • where do you get the footage from slowmode122 very good and compelling stuff another good site.

  • ok people ... every people who both sacrificed there life in this damn war they are a heros and we must respect theme and pray for theme ...

so i ask about the "NAME OF THIS MUSIC"

    thanks

Special tribute for the men of Eeasy company .

  • its the theme to the battlefield game

  • nice vid dude ! :D luv it:D

  • Operation Autumn Mist could have been successful had it not been for the lack of fuel caused by Allied bombing of Pelosti and other major refineries of Germany. Either way, the counter-offensive ground to a halt, but Battle of the Bulge caused tremendous American and British Casualties and possibly scared Eisenhower away from taking Berlin.

  • pff... Bolshevist.

  • What Do You Mean It Wouldnt matter who won or lost dude..... if you were in that battle and saw alotta people die what would you say if some1 said it didnt matter who won or lost?

  • Bulge... wouldn't matter who won or lost. Soviet flag would hang over Reichstag anyway.

  • is this battle in call of duty or brothers of arms?

  • What do you mean?

  • things aint that clear dude! it was a race!

and it was the bad guys who captured bad guys capital city! get it! they made whole eastern germany and other countries thaty had occupied into a living hell on earth!

  • Why are we bad guys? US guys are not any better. Made East Germany? German brought it upon themselves, shouldn't have attacked Soviet Union in the first place. Maybe Eastern Europe was corrupt all the time but my parents and grandparents grew up IN the Soviet Union and they said it was a nice plays.

  • I'm American, and i firmly believe that America, Britain and Hitler's Germany should have all ganged up on the Brutal Bastard Stalin, and attacked the Soviet Union together, and crushed the Russians, and Be-head Stalin...

    Hitler was the wrong enemy.

  • Your an idiot. Soviet Union bothered no one before the war. Even if you did ganged up with him and defeated USSR he would turn against Britain and US anyway and win because without the Russians Britain and US were nothing against Germany.

  • Well there was the small matter of Finland, if I seem to recall correctly, and then, ah yes, they allied themselves with some fellow called Adolf and gobbled up the eastern half of some place called Poland.

  • Tell that to the Jews!! sorry but your trippin..

  • tiger phobia..allied troops fears about those awesome machines..the tigers are still widely admired today and rightly so..

  • DAMN STRAIGHT I DIED LIKE 60% of the tim cause of those guns

  • Good clip.

  • They did have a battle with Japan during WWII, although it was short lived by the dropping of the bomb. Russia invaded Manchuria in the spring (or summer) of '45.

  • at the one minute mark is the guy in the middle of the picture with the one star General Mcauliffe?

  • On another note, Russia and Japan signed the Treaty of Portsmout, ending the Russo-Japanese war in the early 1900s and halting militaristic action against one another. It was the rest of the Allied Nations that "forced" Russian to break that treaty and attack Japan in 1945.

  • I didnt think Russia ever actually had a battle with Japan. Wasnt that a big reason why we droped the atomic bombs, to keep Russia out so they wouldnt have any communist power over Japan?

  • The Russians were the ones that forced their people to fight. If anything, I feel bad for the Germans. They were the ones that continued to fight even when the odds were against them. The Germans were the more superior soldier compared to the Russians. The only way that the Russians won WWII (along with the rest of the Allied Nations) was that they won the Battle of Attrition. They had more troops and supplies. The Germans were the most advanced out of all of the nations.

  • Who else feels really bad for the Russians they suffered the most and do not get much credit at all. Other then leaving the war early they had little support and was surrounded by Japan and Germany shitty situation i do say. Along with over thousands of miles of land to protect. poor guys!

  • How can I get this video??????

  • You want a copy of this video?

  • I would greatly appreciate a copy of this video for a power point project I am doing for my school history project. I would like to use it as a background video as I am presenting my information to the class... Thank you, Eric

  • I would like a copy of this video. How can I make that happen? Thanks for your time

  • they didnt jump into bastogne buddy it was a truck convoy that gotmost of the troops there

  • whered you get the footage?

  • o man, why do you put battlefield 1942 soundtrack in these clips ?

Do you have any source of archival movies or it is a just everything from video games ?

  • How about you watch my other video's and see where I got my other music from. I use music from every source possible so dont go crying.

  • LAst time I checked the allies fought the Nazi's during the war and Neo-Nazi's came after. Besides war was declaied against Germany a country that was predominantly Nazi even thought their were many non-nazi (politicaly) combataints in the German Armed forces.

  • "americans fought ww2 for nothing, theres already neo-nazi in america"

wow, you're an idiot. that was hte dumbest thing i've ever heard anyone say.

  • It's not as dumb as you think. The majority of the prison population in the U.S.A. are either black, hispanic or just not white. And America's prison population is HUGE. Get out there and help make profits for some big corporation, or you'll be in there too. Unless you had a good education and a well off mummy and daddy of course...

  • wth..

  • wtf

  • actually slowmode allys would still have a chance and that was defending france mostly with air

  • If they did not fight, Then THe Nazi's would be controlling the world right now.

  • WOW, you are making me jealous.

  • Very, Very true. I agree that the British forces were a great asset and true ally in WWII but you know theres a good 99.99% chance that without the US's help you either be speaking German or Japanese.

  • Why is it that everyone ignores the impact that Canada had in the war? If Canada had not been involved Britain may have fallen before the United States was pulled in to the war. Canadian Airmen fought during the Biltz and commonwelth Airmen came to canada to learn how to fly. There are so many things I would write down but there isn't enough space.

  • Canada had a HUGE impact on world war 2, I will be making a video showing the contributions of canada to world war 2. But the fact that Neo-Nazi's exist today is somthing that you can't stop. But the fact that the world stop the spread of nazism did contribute a lot.

  • Im not going to go into great detail about this, but though Canada had a large impact on success in WWII Allied Campaigns, they lost about 40,000-45,000 troops in the entire war. One prime example of why the US gets most credit is we lost 20,000 in three days at Iwo Jima. Thats half of Canada's entire war losses.

  • you know, war is not about how many people die, its about how many people are willing to fight for their country

  • A vacuous statement if ever there was one. So war is about statistics? You talk as if war was something everyone should subscribe to if they love their country. WW2 was about stopping the spread of fascism and as such, most people would probably sign up. But there are wars, many many wars, that have been about geopolitics, economics and not much else. You sound completely brainwashed.

  • Most wars are based upon religion and polictical outlooks man. very few apart from that.

  • gets most credit for what?

  • It's the nature of war and of nation states who will look to their own interests before others. However, there are people who remember and who know. Have faith in them. It's all there is.

  • lol probably canada is like a lost department over a great nation such as America and either way it did not make a HUGE difference, America did what they do best is clean up the mess.

  • bollock's you ill informed yank. Go read a history book before you come out with more crap like that.

  • The Americans were not as decisive in the war as that in fact there are many instances in where the allies could have been forced back to Normandy and situations where units American and other nationalities were decisive. Besides the winner was clear before the bulge everything else just decided what was going to be communist by the end of the war.

  • @illusi0n7 Or without 100% of Russian aid...

  • Nope it is the Battlefield THeme music, and Jurgen, the Battle of the Bulge was mostly an American Battle.

  • is the music from the game the road to rome?

  • The XXX Corps were only at Liège.

  • Sorry. The only British forces in the Ardennes were the XXX Corps. And was not involved in fighting a great deal.

  • Great job! You picked great music for this one and the photos and footage work really well together. Keep it up!

  • Very nice video, especially with that music set to it ;D
