  • with a rig like that , i bet i could do my car a dozen times, easy! and i'm 51, 5'8" and 120 pounds, and i wouldn't need one of them sissy belts.

  • @mrbadx19 Im from Missouri--Show Me. if you live in the usa then qualify for the National masters competition, NAS (North American Strongman) and compete against me.

  • @mkrulic517439 my car is a smart, 1800 lbs LOL

  • @mrbadx19 weight in the hand is different then total weight of car. if you lengthen the handles of the apparatus between you and the car you will decrease the pick. this lift was probably more like 700lbs. the apparatus can be designed for a side pick or like a regular dead lift.

  • @mkrulic517439 i push 800 pound wooden pallets on a concrete floor at work, when i have to move them, when i was in high school, i'd leg press 700 pounds on a machine and i weighed 104. i'd like a lift rig like that. my brother had an old subaru, and i'd dead lift the front end directly, no racks or devices, that was 32 years ago.

  • @mrbadx19 If you want to buy your own equipment check this guy out:

  • Strong pulls bro!

  • @ThompsonsTraining hey thanks. I think it was more like about 650lb in the hands. I can pick a 350lb farmer (cant hold for more than a sec) and that was about the same height. how's your farmers carry?

  • @mkrulic517439 very nice! my farmers are terrible. ive done a walk with 330lb/hand for 50 feet with slim handles but anything with thicker handles i do terrible. I do very well whenever straps are allowed though (as they usually are in car dl). Best rackpull from 21 inches is 860 for many reps with them and 700 without lol!

  • @ThompsonsTraining we are so on the same page with that. my hands are too small to hold farmers well. every comp Ive done has a thick handled apparatus. I would much rather do a yolk walk then a farmers walk.

got that 375lb stone tuesday over a 48" bar. pretty happy w/ myself. couldnt budge the 400lb stone. you got some good stone work. how often do you train them?

  • @mkrulic517439 375 stone nice man! i had the same thing happen with my 395 stone, was able to lap it but couldnt get it to the platform. I train stones once every 8 days when its warm here in thunder bay. but from now untill april there wont be much of it as i dont want to break my flloor and myself in -30 conditions lol. Whats your overhead press like?

  • @ThompsonsTraining -30 degrees is very cold. hard to train anything in those conditions. I tried training the stones twice a week but found I was tearing myself apart. less is definitely more w/ stones. once every 8 days sounds perfect. think I'll tailor my workout that way.

my overhead press is pretty bad. I have shoulder probs that limit my rom that keep me from putting the jump in a jump press. I think 260lb log is the best Ive done in a comp. how bout yours?

  • @mkrulic517439 nothing wrong with a 260lb log thats for sure. My overhead is pretty decent, contest best log is 285, but i am probably around 300 now. Pushpress is 340lb (ish). Hoping to make a 20lb increase for the 2012 season!
