  • same in PA....Pick one out,do roughly 5 min of paperwork while backround check is happening, walk out with a new gun

  • this is one of the reasons im moving out of california

  • California is a 10 day wait not 15! I sure do hate the 1 gun every 30 days!!!

  • GOD BLESS GEORGIA!!!! ITS A 5 MINUTE WAITING PERIOD!!!!

  • @cbr2102 same way in west virginia

  • @cbr2102 same here in louisiana, i fill out like 3 peices of paper and 5-10 minutes later im out the door.

  • @sfliberal I agree, with one addition. Firearms confiscated from criminals that would normally be destroyed by the ATF, should also be sold to American citizens.

  • get the hell out of cali gunny, when I buy a handgun im out in 15 minutes its like going to the store to buy toilet paper

  • @mattinmo youll never catch me living cali or mass.

  • This man is so awesome Im surprised it's not illegal, he IS in california after all...anyone?

  • Maybe just governer of california, we ned him here more than anywhere else.

  • The one correction I'd make:

The anti's are NOT "Liberals". *I* am a Liberal, and from San Francisco, CA, so I can speak on this. To be a true Liberal, you *must* believe 100% in the Second Amendment, and anything less is inconsistent with Liberalism.

What these pinko-Commies like Feinstein, Schumer, de Leon, and even Schwarzenegger are doing is un-American. I could never vote for such traitors to our Constitution...and I won't.

  • @sfliberal People who are called liberals these days unfortunately have no resemblance to the classic liberalism of Jefferson's time. If you don't like Chuck U. Schumer and the rest, I wouldn't call you one of today's libs. PS, you forgot Nazi Pelosi.

  • @jwash3rd "Nazi Pelosi" LOL! That's a good one. Hehehe

  • @sfliberal When I walk my dogs, I tell them to make a pelosi :)

  • @sfliberal well said

  • Gunny is my Hero man!!!!

  • Attention home invaders! This is your only warning! Leave me alone, or I'll get a gun in 15 days!

  • I think he would make a good vice president but not president. Maybe he should run with hucabee

  • gunny for President 2012

  • Gunny for President 2012!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yeah, Gunny's right, gun laws are getting ridiculous!

  • Man, the Gunny is one of those guys who, regardless of political preferences, makes sense. If only we had dudes in Congress who were smart, rational, and level-headed like he is.

  • Chuck Norris vs. Gunny. Stalemate.

  • Well, I am deeply ashamed of my liberal neighbors who are the ones who makes such discouragement possible.

  • just like tha song my house is protected by the good lord and a gun and you'll need them both if you come around unwanted son. my bible and my glock .40 live close and my .44mag mag tells me three is company god bless r. Lee ermey

  • does his badass have kids?

  • @arckangel2087

    VOTE FOR THE GUNNY

  • I bet good money that the two dislikes are democrats

  • if Gunny runs for president in 2012 he will punch the supposed apocolypse in the FACE!!! HOORAH!!

  • @zp1944 And then he will skull fuck it right? then maybe rip its head off and shit down its neck, wow that movie was pretty messed up

  • @Jeremiah90526 exactly

  • vote for gunny 2012 hooah!!!!!!!!

  • my uncle is a gun shop owner and here in Kentucky as Obama stated "They like to cl ing to their guns and their Bibles" and i have one thing to say to that, If R. Lee Ermey was running for president, Obama would be out of office before we even voted!

    Hahaha

  • is R. Lee Ermey going 2 run for president N 2012? The world ends in 2012 but I bet my life R. Lee Ermey can stop that

  • I just like to say i like what you had to say i live in canada but i like to hunt have my guns

  • R. Lee Ermey for President 2012.

  • @oneofspades: Agreed.

  • @oneofspades hooah

  • vote for Gunny! we'll make him a write in

  • ..yes..

  • He has my vote! XD

  • @oneofspades "R. Lee Ermey for president in 2012."

    YESSSSSS!!!

Would that be a dream come true or what?

  • @buckster7777 check out the video

    DAVID DUKE for president

  • @buckster7777 Yes it would but - he'd get absolutely no cooperation from the Republicans or Democrats and he'd be painted as a loser by the mainstream media. He's too good a man to work in the snake pit - it's reserved for losers.

  • @oneofspades AWESOME IDEA

  • @oneofspades Yeah Man!

  • This guy has become my idol over the 5 parts of this interview, he really is an extremely level headed man.

  • @MasterBlobby Yes

  • Comment removed

  • @makun16 lock and load

  • Exactly right on all points.

  • Great commits by the Gunny. I'm a republican and see it in my core beliefs more and more each day. However I hate to see fellow republicans get caught up in this backlash that has been going on since Oboma got elected. That kind of kind of behavior is childish, non-constructive, and makes the whole republican party look bad. Gunny is right we just need to keep our cool, and solve this through a democratic process (i.e. writing your congressman, ect) and not impulsive name calling and bickering.

  • Agreed brother.

  • memebers of the US military should be allowed to bring back a M16A4 for self defence

  • I believe it was during Vietnam they stopped sending sending servicemembers of all ranks home with their rifles when they were honorably discharged.

  • There was a law passed way before the national firearms act dealing with automatic weapons that said you cannot acquire gov't owned automatics (cheap surplus back in the day). The Garand was semiautomatic, as such you could probably take that home. When it came to the M14, the old rules were enforced.

Of course, I don't agree with that law, WE paid for those weapons, so they're ours by default.

  • Thanks for the fill-in. I wasn't sure if it was either the military's own policy on it or a new federal law that interfered.

I don't agree with that either, especially when it comes to the USMC. Permanently separating a Marine from his/her rifle doesn't seem right.

  • You guys are right. US mil-surp rifles, including the M16A2-4 as issued, should be made available for sale, say, through the CMP. Personally, I would extend that idea further. If it's an enemy capture, it's automatically yours to keep, up to two firearms. The rest go to the serviceman's weapons depot for reconditioning and re-issue, as appropriate, or go on sale through FFL's as surplus firearms to the American populace.

  • I wish Ronald Reagan was president again he was the BEST PRESIDENT America has ever seen and the gunny for president 2012

  • President Gunny. OOH RAH!

  • Yeah, but we're stuck with Jimmy Carter 2 for now.

  • Who cares what the liberals say about hand guns? There will always be a way to get them; just like that drugdealer down town with his full auto M-11

  • i say, let the bastards have their gun laws for 1 year. that'l shut them up for good

  • libs dont think that there are bad ppl just evil white ppl .

  • lol, thats a little generalized but lol

  • I miss Reagan

  • I was to young to to know reagan but i hear only good things

  • i miss george w.

  • me too, most the shit now a days isn't his fault, it's congress.

  • i liked bama till he said he was gonna ban assault wepons.....now i miss georgy sob( tears in me texan eyes)

  • I disagree, If you cooperate with them and play their game you'll eventually loose. They have set up a system to wear you down and deplete your resources. The liberals have made it very clear what their agenda is. They want guns out of America. They don't care who owns them. Never fight an enemy on terrain they have chosen. Attack them where they are not expecting, when their not expecting.

  • I think if everybody owned a gun it would lower crime. but that could create new ideas and different crime. so i dont know

  • I hope it gets better, but I find it very unlikely. I think we're going to have to get behind the NRA 100% and fight for our 2nd Amendment rights. Sadly, there are just too many ignorant people (in the U.S. and the U.N.) that want to take away our firearms. After that, they'll come after other rights. Hey, it worked in Nazi Germany and many other nations. Don't think history cannot or will not repeat itself.

  • very true, the problum is that damned abraham lincoln. if he would have acknowledged the souths right to disband from the nation america north america would have two nations instead of one. america as been cripling along since then because the nation is still diveded and will eventually collapse on itself because its size and beuracracy... just like rome, however i doubt that we'll stand 1000 years. everyday we get weeker china gets stronger, you do the math.

  • The paperwork and red tape is now considered an old tactic, especially now that Obama is President.

The new plans are to jack up the taxes and fees and add new fees & taxes and make them sky-high so that you are priced out of gun buying and gun ownership.

They're doing the same thing to gasoline automobiles. In 5 years the registration & taxes on them will be jacked up so that it forces you to give it up and take the bus.

    Hooray for Socialism!

  • in denmark we pay 60% in taxes and a new gun costs 150$ in registration the registration for a new car is more expensive than the actual car you are bying. i take the bus every morning because i am a student. only 2 adult working people take that bus to work. so you are not totally right on that area. but the price tactic is right. it is really complicated and expensive and everything costs money when it comes to guns in denmark

  • No shit and he wants to increase electricity costs between 50% and 120% with those carbon taxes so you and I can't afford to run our air conditioners, while he and his family fly around in a fucking 747 burning 8,000 gallons of fuel an hour.

  • We all need to be aware of the plan, so when he tries to slip it in under the radar during a "crisis," we can all recognize it and stand up and say "fuck you!" like with the Sham-nesty bills.

Then we have to STOP VOTING THESE LIBERALS INTO OFFICE.

  • I agree but its impossible to get through to these American Idol watching idiots that won't recognize the onset of fascism until they realize the shower nozzles aren't spraying water. I try talking to people about this stuff and most people call me radical or stupid but they'll wake up when gas goes to $8 like Obama said he'd make it and they pay "carbon taxes" on everything in their lives... I love my country and my fellow citizens but they need a reality check and he's going to give them one.

  • "its impossible to get through to these American Idol watching idiots that won't recognize the onset of fascism until they realize the shower nozzles aren't spraying water"

How very true, and so very sad.

"when gas goes to $8 like Obama said he'd make it"

They won't even then. Obama will just blame it on George W. Bush and everyone will swallow it again. I guarantee that by the end of Obama's 2nd term most of us "nobodies" won't be driving cars or owning them. It's the bus for us via "policy"

  • There may come a point when people like us will have to stand together as true Americans and take action to protect our freedom and way of life. We are limited in number but we have great strength and intelligence and many of our soldiers and police officers are on our side. If they ever start gun confiscations, shutdown the internet or deploy troops against civilians than its time to fight. A cop once told me "If you have to hide your guns, its probably time to use them".

  • I used to be very skeptical of that. But since Obama got into office it's obvious that this is the way it's going to go down.

I mean, he had Conservatives & veterans declared terrorists, then he made policy as to how they could be surveilled and rounded up, now he just declared plans to arrest & hold people indefinitely without charge. What does that sound like to you?

Good quote at the end. My problem is that police & soldiers will follow illegal orders without question and move against us.

  • I know I saw the DHS report about veterans and gun owners... They've done polls and over 70% of the troops said they wouldn't act against US citizens, that's why they'd probably involve UN troops. As for the police, that all depends on where you live. City police in northern states and California probably won't hesitate to follow orders but in the Mid West and the South where I'm from I think many of them would stand with the people, that being said I still wouldn't trust them.

  • What are you actually trying to say? Your grammar is as poor as the supporting evidence for your first statement...

  • no ur wrong my friend in canada we have the right to bare arms it is a privlage and you have to be a responsable person and do a shit load of paper work be we wont give up our gunys like you ppl did down under

    GOD Bless North America

  • We have a crime problem, not a gun problem.

  • More like an idiot problem...

  • wish they'd stop complaining in american here in canada it's a whole big pile of crap to go through to get a gun... and good luck getting a hand gun here, they hardly EVER let people get one here. Even BB guns are under 500 feet per second until you go through a bunch of shit. It's just retarded... it really is.

  • I live in IL, so I can't even carry a gun in public unless I become a cop. Ironically, I am thinking about it, though, but not for that reason.

  • Let me go out on a limb here and take a guess and say the Gunny didnt vote for Barack Hussein Obama lol

  • God Bless you Gunny thanks for the heads up.

  • His right ear is smaller then his left ear.

  • why are you looking at his ears?

  • You're right his hat is much more interesting.

  • Amen

  • Oh and btw......I think that budman345 maybe right that the average joe back then is a whole lot smarter than the average joe now.......But i believe thats because nobody has any freaking street smarts anymore.....they go to college and come out thinking that they are better than the people who just went to work.....its ignorance! And parents today dont teach values or respect.....so kids go out doing stupid stuff and somebody always ends up hurt....people just don't care any more

  • I agree that today's average joe is dumber than in the past, however, I will disagree on why this is the case. Kids are not taught to think for themselves anymore, do what the book tells you, do what the TV tells you, do what everyone else is doing. And this is the failing of the public education system. When college kids have trouble reading, bad news. Hell, I could read in kindergarten.

  • Hell, only reason I'm good with math whatsoever is because I got to learn the concepts behind a lot of the more advanced math in a FUN way (aka Square One TV show).

  • I've not heard of it...I don't think I had any fun games for math, really, besides basic flash cards and....we did have a simple math game on our class computers, nothing more than the basic 4 functions though.

  • Nobody knows why the second amendment was made. Whether it was made for a 'well regulated militia' or not so dont act like you know why it just makes you look like an idiot ...but who cares why we have it?I have the right to bear arms and i choose to bear arms and nobody will be taking my guns i can guarantee that! And another thing.....I'm tired of listening to everyones fairy tails on these comments......who cares?

  • Ill tell you why we have this is no bullshit. The founding fathers put the secenf am. in so that our government would always fear that its people will fight back. If citizens were not alowed to own guns and the government had them all whats to stop them from doing whatevr they want to us make us commies, or socialist, or what ever. the government works for us we do not fucking work for them."governt ment should be torn down and rebuiltevery200yearstoreminda countrywhotheyare." Tom jefferson 1777

  • Its bullshit why should they try to take my guns away so someone can break into my house thats what happened 2 days ago guess what i had my winchester 1300 ranger gloss didnt have to say anything just cocked it and they ran no word said and ill be waitting if they come back. I bet my life on it that while obama is in office he try to do somthing about our guns its not us who they should be watching.

  • Can anyone tell me why the second amendment was made? I will give you a hint... it was NOT to protect yourself or your land.

  • So that if the time came, in an extremely dire situation, the people of the country could clean house. Sadly though, the average citizen back in the day was probably heaps smarter than your average citizen today. Civics aren't even tought until High School/College level and you have to select them. It's saddening :-\

  • It was to protect ourselves from our own government.

  • Bingo.

  • It also wasnt made in a time where guns were so prevalent among criminals, a time where gangs didn't exist, etc. Most guns used to commit crimes aren't legally acquired, why shouldn't we be able to defend ourselves?

  • 1000000% correct someone needs to tell thes libs that crimanals dont go to thestore to buy there weapons, they got illegal, and worse even foreign guns.

  • All of this is why I say three words: God bless Texas!

  • Registration always precedes confiscation.

  • 1.20.2009

  • You can tell this is old b/c he said "it will get better before it gets worse". It's hard to see that logic now that there are so many liberal cowards in office. Not to mention they are lead by an anti-american socialist president elect. Bye-Bye 2nd amendment...

  • this guy is an American hero

  • love gunny hartman. ooohhhraah!!

  • haha, you know thats not his real name right?

  • Texas and Arizona are the states to be for gun owners.

  • very true....Ohio is good too (my home state)

  • Don't forget Utah.

  • you're right that's one of the only reasons i like living in Arizona other than that Arizona sucks lol

  • Pennsylvania is the State! We can open carry with no LTCF.

  • Ooorah!

  • Just live in texas dude, have all the gun rights you need.

  • they're also trying to limit the amount of hand gun ammo to something like 50rds a month, that's all the shops can order per month. That's extremely stupid,no one would have any ammo that way, unless you reload.

  • DFXJedi: Do what I do. Stock up, just in case. :D

  • Here in california they're trying to pass a few more stupid gun laws.

One of the laws are that the only type of handgun you could own here would be one of the "electronic" guns that would be coded to one specific person so that only that specific person can pick it up and shoot it.

  • Wait a minute, so first he says he hates the California gun laws and now he's saying to follow the rules of all gun laws. Well, I guess if you look deeper into it it kind of makes sense.

  • He is trying to say to abide by the laws, even though you do not like it. In order to have gun owners be in the good light, they must follow all of the stringent gun laws in California

  • wow...why didn't they just save time and money by just giving you a G17?

  • Plus I'm in Illinois.

  • and ny

  • Ooooh Rah!

  • Hey, I'm a liberal. However, I believe that possession of firearms is one of our most valued rights and I'm sick of some of the Democrats attempting to take away this right. Our FOUNDING FATHERS WERE LIBERALS. They realized the old monarchical regimes limited this right to their people and were allowed to continue this abuse.

After all, the way this country is heading, I think there may come a time when we WILL need them.

  • then i think u liberals that aren't anti-gun need to be more vocal, cuz from what u hear in the news and in liberal organizations, it seems as if the one thing they all agree on is that they hate guns. btw, the terms "liberal, conservative, republican, democrat" have changed definitions many times through history.

  • Tell that to those California fucks then.

  • Proud Californian that owns many firearms.

  • No offense, but your fellow Californians are the most notorious for this shit.

  • i"m californian and a republican gun supporter ooo ra

  • a lot of californians are- but guys like you have been squeezed out of your own state's affairs by the gay and environmentalist mob, i mean lobby.

  • true.

  • Around the time of the revolution, the people pushing for independence would have been considered liberal; those wanting to remain with England would have been considered conservative.

Politicians aren't going to stray too far from their party's core values, and the popular beliefs within that party. That's why we are not going to see a major democrat pushing for less gun restrictions, or a major republican pushing for legalizing marijuana. They can't risk alienating their main supporters.

  • are you really a "liberal" though? words change meaning over time. a "conservative" in the soviet union was quite the opposite of a "conservative" in america.

  • No, because the right to bear arms has always been an aristocratic and "elite" patron in Europe, while seemingly these days being taken away at every turn.

It's still a "liberal" right in my opinion.

  • yea but the left wingers have stolen that from you. instead, let us call it an "american" right.

  • Agreed.

  • Not an American right, a right off all free indivuals......

hell, look at the mass killings in Africa --- all results of gun confiscations, the liberals who want us to "save darfur" never told us that it was the UN's gun bans over their that doomed those poor people.

  • Hey now! Most of us liberals have no problem with guns.

  • Semper Fi !

  • The gunny knows what hes talking about

    OORAH!

  • the people at the store are gay by taking 2 weeks to give you your gun thats why i go to the same gun store because they give me the gun right there in 5 minutes they just pick up the phone and call the atf and thats it and give me my fire arem but other stores are totally lazy asses and take for ever just for the simole fact they dont want to pick up the phone and make a simple phone call

  • You guys are lucky. I live in MA, which is the state where you almost cant own any handgun or rifle. The state has made it illegal to own Kimber, Sig Sauer, and many more firearms. It totally sucks, which is why I want to move to Alaska lol. p.s. look up MA restrited handguns list for a laugh.

  • i live in fairbanks alaska and its hella cold right now actually around -30 but everyone has firearms and there isnt much crime up here

  • Im willing to live in -30 degree just to get as far as fucking possible from MA lol

    Stay Warm Buddy

  • They should also repeal the laws pertaining to how much ammo you guys can have. Alaska is the frontline if America is ever invaded by China or Russia; Most likely China. Do you also notice that most of semi autos made are made in states with the most restrictive gun rights?? Minnesota,Illinois,Maine???

  • Thank goodness that I live in S.C. Minimal paperwoork and I got my new glock in 2 days. The police know the serial number of the weapon and they know that I have it. It costed me 125 bucks for training and class to get my CCW permit.

  • N.J. routinely makes people wait MONTHS to get a Handgun Permit to Purchase. The law says that permits must be issued or denied in 30 days but that is a law that seems to be overlooked almost all the time. I've been waiting over 13 weeks now for a new permit. N.J. is becoming a truly awful place to live.

  • hey man try and contact someone and tell them that is too long. do it respectfully. no need to get mad at someone for this.

  • I wrote a freindly letter to the Superintendent of the NJ State Police. Heard nothing. I wrote a freindly letter to the NJ Attorney General. Followed up with some phone calls between the AG's Office and NJ State Police. They were freindly and so was I. Ended up being directed to call my local P.D. Spoke with the detective who handles permits, also friendly and he said he has to type permits up. That was a week ago and still no permits.

  • hmm, weird. maybe jersey has a longer waiting period. Or your paperwork was lost

  • No, the time to process an application is mandated by law. Permit must be affirmed or denied within 30 days. This is a law that is overlooked on a regular basis in NJ. I spoke with the detective handling my permit, he was very friendly and stated something to the effect that he will have to get around to typing up the permit. By the way, I've spoken with many gun guys in NJ and they have all had similar experiences with unreasonable lapses of time..

  • is there any way you can get to the federal government. talk to like ATF or something.

  • I don't know if the ATF could help. I'm pretty sure that it's a state matter. In addition, it's not just me that has to put up with this BS. Lot's of people are in the same boat. Unfortunately New Jersey has become increasingly anti-gun and they do everything they can to bust your balls in the hopes of discouraging gun ownership. Need to get 100's or even 1,000's of people to get together and chip in for a good lawyer and sue the state.

  • Thank You Gunny! Oooorah!
