@karenlee1977 My 3 main tips to prevent bubbles would be: make sure there are none in the polish before you dip you nail (you can pop those), dip in & out slowly, and make sure to get rid of any water drops on your nail - if they won't drip or shake off, you can use the corner of a paper towel to absorb them. HTH =)

@SimpleLittlePleasues What are your favorite base and top coats? Have you ever tried to use Essie nailpolish for water marbling? Are there certain brands that you have found work better for water marbling? And finally do you ever use quick drying top coats or oils? I always seem to screw up my nails, and I don't know how I do it :/
@actingdreams1993 there really isn't a best brand, every color is different in the water & it just takes a lot of trial & error to find the ones that work well – the colors I use are always listed in the information box. You want one with good pigmentation, maybe a little on the thick side but thin enough to drip & above all slow-drying. =) for my base I use nail life gripper & for top coat seche vite =)

@SuperLittlechiken Are you using room tempe filtered water? @reichelbrenner they don't really grow that fast, I just maintain them long =) there's no way to speed it up, you just have to take care of them as they grow
@juju55488 they're from the store icing - although the bottles are nearly identical, they're not a knockoff, pretty much all the colors are different =)
@nona99girl It's been on my to-do list for a while now to do a comparison between taping & lotion or vaseline/chapstick etc, but I haven't gotten around to it yet. @boondogglecrazy54321 no - only thing would be polish thinner if the polish is actually too thick to drip but it's really a matter of getting enough on the brush for it to drip - you do have to work very fast but some polish dries faster than others & it just takes trial & error to find the ones that dry slowest & work best =)
@HotPindakaas it does use more than a normal manicure, but it's worth it =) & I have plenty to spare LOL - but if you are concerned, depending on the design you are going for you can dip 2 or 3 fingers at a time to save polish, also some designs use fewer drops
@watchme435 sometimes even colors that each spread on their own don't work well together - you just have to keep trying different colors & different combinations =)
i tryd but mine diddnt go as well either it didnt spread orit sunk to the bottom or it dried right away wat kin do u have tha works best and were do you buy it????????????? hellp im so curious
@akuagumdrop728 are you using filtered water? Some polish sinks because it’s too dense, other times it is from dripping it from too high up, try to stay close to the surface of the water. I'm going to try to do something intense that I'll probably kick myself for halfway through. Tomorrow I was planning on doing my acrylic nails again anyway but I want to do this water marble and then 'faux-naud' something over the water marble. Do you thin out your nail polishes, so that they will flow better. I tried the marbling technique today, and wow it was difficult. I had a lot of problems with the polish not spreading, so I just poured the polish in the bowl; very heavy to get it spread. I used (OPI,,, not really a wait.../ Milani Orange), & Walmart Purified water and my hair tint bowl. It took my 2 hrs to get a simi orange/red whirl.. Any advise, I need help.
@DrummsA I don't thin my polish unles they're actually too thick to drip - the bowl might be part of the probem, polish seems to spread better in a small container but the main thing is just trial & error to find the best colors =)
@xxSuperPinkChickxx -- mines in fridge too i left it out for 30-45 mins next to window ( sun) or next to a heater,, put your little finger in to check it xx
@cherrie178 I do have a french tip drag marble, but it's been on my to-do list to do a water marbled tip =) it will probably still be a while since I just trimmed my nails
@SimpleLittlePleasues oh and another thing... do u have to use a specific polish? some of my nail polish dont spead and it sinks to the bottom of my cup. Have any suggestions?

@hannahdohertyxx Most tap water is too hard & the polish will not spread as well – you can check out my water comparison under the Tips & Tricks playlist in the information box to see the difference =) it also has to do with the polish, not every color works
Whenever i did it i put the polish in it spred i went to put a design in it and it was sticking to my tooth pick it was sticking and it was ripping my polish
my water marbleing is coming out pretty i just bought 2 sally hansen colors called 36 carribean coral and 470 bubble gum pink and i my base coat is white i like sally hansen it spread out in the water so good thanks for the help now i kno which brand to buy and what water to use =]
OMG I just did a water marble design and it turned out but not how u do it!! I used filtered water and I experimented my colors and it didn't work very well!! HELP WANTED
i tried this water polish myself, with different colours, but i noticed that the polish doesnt spread as mcuh as yours does? it slighty spreads but not all the way. and i end up getting blobs ontop of blobs? would u be able to please tell me where im going wrong? :/
@Armywife1604 Are you using filtered water? Also keep in mind that not all polish works - the brand doesn't really matter but every color is different in the water & it just takes a lot of trial & error to find the ones that work well. Do you need to have the tape on your finger?? And is that your real nail, just all taped up around it??? Im so confused :) sorry for the questions. Im 11 and i wanna try that out, so can you explain the whole "water marble"-ing consept to me please?
@JennSupportsJB you don't have to, but it really helps with the mess - & yes, my nails are natural =) There's not really much to explain past what I show in the vid though - if you have any questions I'd suggest checking out the Tips & Tricks playlist linked in the information box =)

@simplelittlepleasures, my nail polish won't spread what should i do?!??!?!?!
boboskele 7 months ago
@boboskele Are you using filtered water? Also keep in mind that not all polish works - the brand doesn't really matter but every color is different in the water & it just takes a lot of trial & error to find the ones that work well. You want one with good pigmentation, maybe a little on the thick side but thin enough to drip & above all slow-drying. HTH =)

@simplelilttlepleasures, ive tried so hard with tap water but it never works were can i get filterd water?
TheBestShowOnEarth1 7 months ago
@TheBestShowOnEarth1 I get mine from a Brita pitcher =)
SimpleLittlePleasues 7 months ago
@hannahdohertyxx Most tap water is too hard & the polish will not spread as well – you can check out my water comparison under the Tips & Tricks playlist in the information box to see the difference =) it also has to do with the polish, not every color works

bluebunny576 7 months ago
@bluebunny576 It sounds like the polish is starting to dry – you either have to work faster or find colors that dry slower =)

sweetnatti412 7 months ago
@sweetnatti412 if your polish is spreading & not drying, then it just takes practice to be able to draw a good design =)
SimpleLittlePleasues 7 months ago
